Guy Roofing Review

We are a military family living overseas when we had roof damage from a hurricane. The roof was replaced by Guy Roofing in Feb 2019. We are currently selling our home and the inspector found 2 shingles that slipped and were not installed properly. When I called to inquire about fixing the workmanship I was told the warranty had expired (in February, btw) and they do not work in our area anymore anyway. That this work was done under the 'old system, whatever that may mean.
To say I am frustrated is an understatement. How were we going to inspect workmanship on a 2 story roof from Europe? Two slipped shingles. Guy Roofing certainly did not hesitate to come out and benefit off of the damage the hurricane left behind, but will not work this area to fix what they did not install correctly.
We are very disappointed.
The VA will not approve a loan without this fix and I am now going to have to pay someone else to fix what seems to have been improperly installed with zero help from 'upper management.'
This could have been such an easy fix for your company. Zero help. I wonder if you will not fix the easy stuff, how hard do you fight the big stuff? Also, perhaps if you are not willing to service the area you sold to, maybe you should not service that area to begin with.
I will be in contact with the BBB and our insurance company that thought you would be a good fit for our claim.

When we originally spoke with salesman regarding estimate for job, we asked for at least one person to be on job that spoke English. Crew now here and no one understands us. Calling the company, we were told that they commiserate with us. They couldn't talk to crews either. How can we talk to the crew about the problems of our roof if no one else understands?

Yes, well, both my husband and I didn't hear from the on site supervisor. About 1130am, one of the workers asked us for a saw. He explained his van was broken into and the saw was stolen. After many minutes, we were able to figure out he wanted to borrow ours. As my husband loaned the saw, I called Guy Roofing to tell them about the saw. Shortly thereafter, Joey, the supervisor showed up , apologized, explained it was all on his shoulders. He explained he was new to the job...whew. I explained that I have no problems with Latinos, but it is the responsibility of the company to pay their workers so they have a safe place to live, and responsibility to teach them the skills they need to do job, including speaking English. With Joey on site, I thought things would go better.

At 6PM, still working and Joey gone. At 7PM and too dark to work, t workers still working attempting to clean up. One worker still on the roof, in the dark. At 7:30 PM, hubby and I went out and told them to vamoos. Finally at 8, we watched them leave. A worker assured us they would come back in morning go finish cleanup.

They had better. The reply from Mr. Guy is appreciated, but inadequate.

Called for update on clean up time....no clean up time planned. We we told that the crew tries to avoid returning to old job. Sounds like crew is encouraged to finish in a day which is commendable, however lack of leadership on site and proper tools delayed completion.

I feel that the Latino crew was very good doing the work. The level of quality control was hindered severely from an admitted language barrier between superior and crew.

The insurance company paid for roofing, but I will pay for nail in my tires.

Zachary at Guy Roofing was great. He did what he said he would do and showed up on time. He took video of our roof so that we could see the damage. He walked us through the entire process and provided documentation. He contacted the insurance company with us so and joined our appointment with the adjuster. The installers showed up on time and were able to replace our roof in one day. They cleaned up behind themselves and ensured that all of the nails and old roofing was removed from our yard. The people in the office were great as well. They contacted us to let us know where we were in the process and sent over all of the paperwork in a timely manner. We had a great experience and I would definitely recommend guy roofing! Thanks for making this process easy! Oh and everyone we worked with was really nice. I cannot stress that enough!

Guy roofing are the A+ professionals in this space. The Sales process was informative, honest and not high pressure. I felt I got what I needed and not over sold. High quality materials, excellent installation technique, planning and follow through . Communications on the installation via text was excellent and proactive. The crew showed as expected and were clearly well trained. They were fast and precise. A Quality Assurance professional (Justin) kept tabs of the process, kept me informed and checked the quality of the work. It was like a concierge service which was so helpful. The roof looks amazing, the crew finished as expected, cleaned up, were very professional. No doubt not the cheapest but the best - and I wanted the best to protect the largest asset I own. I was not disappointed and I would have no hesitation in providing the highest of recommendations. I will certainly use Guy Roofing again.

Extremely pleased with the entire process with replacing hail damage on our roof. Guy Roofing walked us through the entire process and kept us notified from start to finish. The crew was amazing. They finished our entire roof in 12 hours, our neighbors were impressed! They were meticulous and very thorough on the clean up. I highly recommend working with Guy roofing!

God bless you if you ever do business with a lazier, greedier company than this one. They wanted to charge $1,500 for less than an hour total of work spread over two visits.
We had to call them out twice because they didn't even do what we asked the first time.
Guy Roofing likes to say they take customer satisfaction seriously, but their actions imply the exact opposite.
I mean, look at this huge string of recent 1 star reviews here. I don't know what's changed, but this business has ruined what was once a good reputation.
I thoroughly regret trusting these folks. They ripped us off horribly.

I don t have enough words to describe how pleased we are with everything! And I can t remember all the small and great details surrounding this job from just an idea based on a need to a safe and successful new and beautiful roof.
Our home had many complicated arches, eves and all kinds of unusual shapes, too. And they didn t even complain about the complexity of it. They were prepared! And they have excelled! Real craftsmen!

This was one of the most pleasurable experiences I have had. The team there at Guy Roofing was outstanding. All were very professional when it came to communicating my needs. Chris was amazing with handling getting my shop roof repaired in a very timely manner and his professionalism was great. Then Hector and his team came out and did a fantastic job in repairing a joist that was cracked and replacing the damaged plywood. Then they set down to work installing the new shingles and did a top notch professional job. I am very impressed wth Guy Roofing and would highly recommend for your roofing needs.
