Really nice museum detailing the history of BC's fishing and canning history. Especially liked that the production line equipment was left in place and well described. The docents were really enthusiastic, knowledgable and pleasant!

Steveston is a normal oceanside town, with walks, many visitors, and a museum that shows the ancient procedures for boxing fish and the life of the workers (Chinese) in another era. Very lively and interesting.

The Cannery is a place of historic interest, and they have some exhibits that my boys (3 and 6) enjoyed exploring. It's cold, since there are only a few space heaters, so be sure to bundle up!

A gem of a place to visit. Stevenston area is very cool to see in the summer, with the river breeze, and many eateries and restaurants o choose from. The cannery was neat to see, if I recall it wasn't very expensive to go in and check out the museum. It's not big, but for $5 it was worth it. They sell souvenirs, and they also have a farmer's market

This was a great tour and trip into the past. You are able to walk through the cannery and view the history at your own pace and apend as much time as you want with each display. Interesting how they mass produced and canned so many fish even back in that day... wow the technology back then and now is amazing but demonstrates the very little need for humans. Just someone to man the machine. Ha ha. And eat the rejected cans of fish.

Spent a couple hours here- learned a ton about fishing in BC and Canada, and the history of the industry in the province. Went on the canning line tour (guided by Gary- who was amazing) and had a great experience! Worth going!

Very interesting historic site. The stories and building have been so well preserved. My family and I spent over an hour at the site and we all found it interesting. I appreciated that the past wasn't white washed and that the social history of the cannery was an important part of the story telling.

The Georgia Cannery Museum shows the well-preserved history of Steveston in one little exhibition. The industrial motors, pipes, and wheels opened our eyes to the heavily mechanized salmon industry way back in the 1920s. This is a great place to take pictures with NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY (prime lenses are fine) for your next adventure in Steveston :).
