They need welders because the pour guy hasn't a clue what a good weld looks like. If you want a welding job here, best not to know how to weld correctly.AWS certified ? Don't apply with GSI! They have Larry judging who you are, not what your skill level is and ability to lay a good bead of weld. Spray arc on 1/4" steel is wrong and there products will not last. Grain equipment experts, keep shopping around. Big isn't better, its just bigger.

My appointment time was 1130 am didn't get pulled in intill 630 pm. They didn't started loading me until 656 pm took them over and hour to load me. Worse place I have ever been too. If the had a negative star rating they would get a -5.

A Great Place to work co workers are all friendly and very helpful. All upper Management are all great people, including the team leaders. They have great benefits and very competitive pay! Also they buy their employees lunches atleast a few times a year. But since covid first started we get a nice lunch once a month to show their appreciation for working the entire pandemic. We are considered essential for being part of the food industry. Another huge plus they have level tests they are called and you can take them for a significant pay raise. But only eligible to take 1 test every 6 months until your topped out at level 4 in most positions. The company is great about getting their employees moved up inside the company as long as you prove yourself first!!! 10 paid holidays a year and everyone gets $100 a year for new boots. Only negative part is working most Saturdays during the busy season. But they started a new plan, to get us out of atleast 1 weekend a month during busy season. Always looking for ideas from their employees to make the company better for all employees at Agco/G.S.I. Paid double time on Sundays if you do volunteer to work. Never usually force Sundays, always voluntary as of 2021.

While working there my supervisor was arrested for meth, and most of the employees I worked with were little more than felons and barely high school educated... They were so upset with my pedigree and on the job skills that they had no choice but to run me off because I made them look like the under-qualified, chainsmoking, drug abusing workforce that they really are.... It's gotten so bad at GSI that they no longer have people to sell their products to because of the inferior quality of work they provide.
