Nice museum. Depending on the temporary exhibition that there is.

Nice museum with an exhibition about romanticism from the Northern countries. Well taken care of. Good audio tour. Relax in a fine restaurant. In short, a beautiful day.

It has a good collection which includes some old Masters and price of admission is reasonable. I found the more contemporary works on display from 'de ploeg' to be quite forgettable. The other collections consisted of posters which were cute. I give four stars just based on emotion. No doubt art lovers will like it better.

Had a great morning with the children from group Aqua from Sbo 't Hoge Holt!

Designed by Mendini, the building is a work of art itself.
Exhibitions are usually placed in the various halls according to object size, but some rooms are a bit distracting in architecture or color.

In addition to the content, the building itself is also worth a visit to the museum of Groningen.

A beautiful building, a well-run museum with high-profile exhibitions. I come there about twice a year. This time the Rodin exhibition. Many people here who all still come specially for the exhibition. an economic driver of interest to the city (we also took a hotel for the entire weekend).

Inside is bigger than expected, currently very nice exhibition about Chichully! Definitely worth a look!

Bowie exhibit was very impressive. Nice location right next to the station.

The Groninger Museum never disappoints! The exhibition of Dale Chihuly is phenomenal and other exhibitions in the past were very beautiful. I will definitely keep coming back.

This is a museum to my heart. It was a long time ago, in 1996, that I visited this museum. When I was not so busy with art, but the Groninger Museum is an absolute winner in the segment of Dutch museums and Ne in the field of contemporary art.

Nice museum. There are often interesting exhibitions.

Pronkjewails is so beautiful in design. I was completely moved. That someone can make such beautiful combinations. Don't forget to pick up a free audio tour at the desk.
And then on to Daan Roosegaarde. Children think this is great too, I saw.

The building is very interesting. Only inside of most of the history is much to see only the whole of the recent. Had more expected about Groningen and art from it.

A must see on a rainy day if you are in Groningen. Small but educational place. It is more of an art gallery than a museum.

Went to the Chihuly exhibition. Beautiful. The exhibition on porcelain and Delfts aardewerk was also great.

We have seen a very nice and good exhibition about glass and glass blowing. Well worth it.

Beautiful exhibition about the team. That is a group of artists from especially the roaring twenties around Groningen. And of course the permanent collection. The exchange with Gouda is also worthwhile!

Not enthusiastic about this museum, but this my personal opinion.

Yesterday I went with my beat friend for the first time to Groningen. This museum was amazing. Simpel, yet interesting for all age groups. It is so worth it to have a look inside ;)

Yesterday at the glass exhibition of Chihuly. Wonderful that we can see this in the Netherlands. Beautifully designed exhibition with all themes of the artist. Works were sometimes even better in larger spaces, but definitely worth it!

Beautiful exhibition by Rodin, but also Maarten Baas was special and the photos by Erwin Olaf as an ode to Rodin.

Amazing architecture and collection. Not very big but beautiful and a must see if you are into design and modern art

The exibitions in the sqaure building vary a lot. Ranging from exibitions about an artist, to exibitions with paintings in a general theme. The top floor of the sqaure building is quite modern as you can see the "bones" of the building. This means that not all art suits it and sometimes it stays empty, but even without any art it's worth walking through if you like architecture. Big sculptures and other big 3d objects are well suited to the top floor so usually that is what is on display there. The stairs to go to the top are a bit hidden, but you can grab a map at the front when you go in and use that to find them.

So while the art in nice and some expositions are amazing, just the building itself is worth viewing.

Nice museum, wheelchair friendly in itself, only the lifts are a bit on the small side.

Visited Dan Roosegaarde's exhibition. Atmospheric very nice. Art to touch and play with. Particularly impressive was the small music box with porcelain cover. Building architecturally appealing. Moat unfortunately More

Good museum and cheap. Exhibitions change frequently, it is worth seeing.

Fine wandered around the museum for a few hours with very varied exhibitions. We were already there on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. and almost had Daan Roosegaarde's exhibition alone. Then you can unashamedly try out what he does with light. The child in you came up. Recommended use the light on your phone.

Beautiful museum and well organized! Only in the hall of modern art is everything a bit the same. Everything else is great!

An eclectic mixture of contemporary design. A questionable modernistic building impressive from the outside, but confusing and impractical from the inside.

This museum is worth a visit; the architecture alone is interesting - if you look out of the window at water level. Two rooms were under renovation, overall impression good.
Personally, I'm hoping for another collaboration with pieces from David Bowie's possession .....

Super collection with good audio tour also suitable for the children
