An original building on the canal. Also inside is pretty. The exhibition on Rodin is highly recommended although we had to see it quickly and running because only after buying the tickets we were warned that it was just over an hour to close.

What a wonderful exhibition ... If you have the chance to visit him, I highly recommend it.

Excelent museum with a really original and great looking Memphis architecture. The collection is really nice but it's too expensive in my opinion.

Great variety for the size. Interesting pieces, and the children's descriptions were hilarious. An easier walking path and unifying theme would make it even better.

This museum has everything. Great variety - there were a few unexpected exhibitions!

The photography exhibition was very 'powerful' and provocative, and the history of Groningen and its people was well explained and illustrated throughout.

Also of note, De Ploeg's work was very interesting and the evolution of the different avant-gardes was well documented by the museum.

All in all, this museum is a must see if you visit the area.

All kidding: this is really such a beautiful Pronkjuwail, there at the station, man, man, man. Every season a beautiful exhibition, this time again from Mendini, who designed the building himself. Been in no years, but still a beautiful and contemporary museum. The only disappointment was that I had to pay 5 for the Rodin exhibition. I thought I had enough of the museum year card.

Interesting museum. The building itself can be called a work of art. It contains modern art, an exhibition about pottery, 75 years of the liberation of Groningen, and old art from Groningen. Very beautiful and educational!

The museum building itself is already a work of art. Most recently, we were thrilled by the romantic exhibition.

Casual atmosphere, nice collection of paintings by artists collective de Ploeg. To be visited until May 5, 2019, work by the American glass artist Dale Chihuly.

One of my favorite museums, the building itself is very worth seeing. Often surprising exhibitions!

Beautiful exhibition about the Northern Romanticism. Pretty busy, yet plenty of room to view the paintings and read the text boards. Beautiful accompanying book to the exhibition.

Small but excellent museum showing local heroes in the context of international developments through the ages.

It's quite small and very expensive for what it has to offer. A lot of the exhibits are in Dutch, which is very disappointing for a tourist attraction.

Arrived in a family day. Bizarrely a lot of people. A whole village could free inside a lot of screaming children. But the museum itself is okay

Nice museum, especially if you are free to go to your student card. I can only imagine if you have to pay full price that the price / quality ratio is somewhat out of balance. We were through the museum within an hour.

What a fantastic museum. Beautiful exhibition about chihuly! Everything is right and is beautifully displayed. On the other hand, own works of art from the collection of the Groningen museum which is also very impressive and interesting. In short, you are in Groningen, then you should definitely stop by here. Tip order the tickets online, that saves waiting in line.

Modern furnished rooms, also nice and warm. They are separate buildings and you have to go to breakfast through the freezing cold. Also suffer from late home. Both noise from the parking lot and hallway and room.

Terrible service, security particularly antisocial, is absolutely not worth the money

The design of the meuseum , though harsh in its own way really adds to the experience, the building and walkways itself reflect the art it holds within, in saying that upon my visit there was a rotation of the exhibition on and this there was dissapointily little to show although it does cater well for it's international customers , will hold a true judgment for another day

Beautiful diverse spaces, each with its own atmosphere, special building, playfully set up. I always enjoy going here and checking out various exhibits here.

Super exhibition Chihuly: what a revelation to see these colorful glass sculptures, really a surprise!

Nice overview of the Ploeg paintings. I did not know the colorful landscapes and portraits in particular, it was interesting!
Furthermore, it is always nice to visit the museum of Groningen, the building, the surroundings and tasty lunch in the restaurant.

Beautiful museum building by architect Alessandro Mendini. The collection is locally oriented, including beautiful silver.

Unzipped - Rolling Stones. Super exhibition, especially for a fan. Lots of clothes, instruments, design stages. Really nice. Easy to visit with a walker and / or wheelchair.

We enjoyed the Rolling Stones exhibit very much and the employees (sters) were very friendly

The museum has an exhibition about Romanticism. Late 18th to late 19th century. A beautiful overview with paintings of all known romantic painters such as Constable, Turner, Koekoek and others.

Presence is a very cool exhibition, but it is small, like the rest of the museum. I think a little bit expensive for the amount you get to see. I was interested in the exhibition with the women's right to vote, but only the big signs where English. Nevertheless: what I saw was good :)

Just back from the Chihuly exhibition and although it is undoubtedly pretty good, I actually had the constant need to change everything. Rarely seen something that I find so ugly. Prickly, miserable kitch.

Rest of the museum was ok again.
