Paula ran an amazing class! Having never been to the studio in person I was a bit worried it would be awkward or I would possibly not be welcomed, but I was greeted with open arms! Awesome class, awesome people, would definitely take another class!

I've been a regular member of Green Monkey for a couple of years now. I started my practice in Cambridge Mass. with Baron Baptiste so this style of yoga (athletic with some heat) has always appealed to me. Green Monkey has a ton of classes at all hours of the day so making time to get on your mat is easy. Lots of great teachers who all get a chance to express their individuality. The space is enormous and clean and nicely located not far from Whole Foods in South Miami. It's a win win.
Attending Jasmyn s 6pm class was such a blessing. I have been to many yoga classes through out the years and have never experienced a yoga class with such a knowledgeable and professional instructor. I haven t felt so good in such a long time. Amazing and powerful aren't strong enough words to describe Jasmyn s talent. Incredible thank you for getting me back into it. I willbe recommending Green Monkey to all my friends and family.

Yeah- yoga! I was brought by a friend but this place was great. Clean and welcoming even to my pale, end-of-midwestern-winter doughy self. Good instruction with plenty of modifications. Fun atmosphere.

This is THE best yoga studio in Miami! The classes are great and diverse. The power flow classes are my favorite but I do love adding one or two slow flows a week into my personal practice.
The space itself has a great vibe. It's a beautiful studio and sits in Sunset Harbor. Thankfully, they moved classes to the terrace and stayed open through the pandemic to serve the greater community. Its definitely a must stop if you love yoga and you are in the Miami area!
I have been going to Green Monkey Coral Gables (previously Bala Vinyasa) regularly for over three years. My week days would not be complete without my daily yoga class. there are classes and instructors for every taste, from therapeutic and slow flow restorative to Power classes. I enjoy being part of this community, where everyone is welcomed and known on first-name basis.
I went there for my first class. The studio is clean, the environment was focused and friendly. Instruction is concise and demanding.
Moved down to Miami Beach from DC and love Green Monkey. Not to slight DC yoga, but this is probably the best studio in the US. Give it a try. Super friendly

Green Monkey is an incredible studio with classes for everyone from yoga novices to yoga pros. When I lived in Miami, I had the unlimited package and went almost daily. Never took a single class there that I didn't enjoy!
For anyone new to yoga or looking for a relaxing class, I highly recommend Amanda Ray's "Slow Flow Restorative" for deep stretching combined with meditative mental exercises. This class helped me get into a meditative state, which is no small feat as my mind is always running. Amanda is a kind, patient teacher who will help you become fully absorbed in your practice in ways that I don't have enough words to describe!
For intermediate - advanced yogis, Luis Jimenez's "Power Vibes" class is an invigorating workout - you will sweat like crazy and have so much fun. Luis helped me access a number of advanced poses I had never been able to fully express in my body before, even after practicing yoga for over 5 years. He's super passionate about yoga and will go out of his way to help you get to your goals. His Slow Flow class is great too!
Other teachers I recommend - Kelly, Cassie, Virginia, Derek, Hilary, Funda, and Izzy.
I also want to commend Green Monkey for fostering such a welcoming community. I was always greeted with a smile by the front desk staff, and there are a variety of workshops, events, and activities hosted both within and outside of the studio.

Really great power yoga class with Paula; she's amazing! Loved the studio space as well - bright and airy with lots of windows. Nice retail selection. The location is excellent and you can grab some delicious healthy food at one of several nearby restaurants (highly recommend DIRT post-class). It would be great if the studio had showers, but that's just being picky ;)
Green Monkey has the most challenging classes with the best views. Always a joy to practice there.

There is no sense of community at this studio. The instructors are not personal at all...just business. It really does not have a good feel to it. It's not a good hang. This is typical of Miami. No sense of community. If these people were to live in different parts of the world or country, they would realize what they are doing.

I really enjoyed the class, Beth really lead a powerful class offering lots of modifications and assist throughout, and gave enough space in between poses to really land our poses.
Coming into in the Yoga Studio I already felt the great positive vibe. I was referred by a friend to try this place out. My first class went very well and decided to sign up for another that same week. I highly recommend this to everyone!
SCAM ALERT: I bought a package of classes in November. I have only used two classes out of my package. I tried to go take a class today and was told that my classes "expired". I just purchased this package only a few months ago. How can a yoga class "expire"? It's not a carton of milk that goes bad if you don't drink it. I've been doing yoga for over ten years and have never heard of such a thing. I can't believe this place is stealing money from people during a pandemic and not even letting people take the classes they paid for. If I buy a shirt and don't wear it for a few months after my purchase does that mean the shirt is no longer wearable? This is ridiculous, and it's theft. The per class price in the package I bought was $20 per class, so these classes aren't cheap. I recently moved to Miami Beach, and I'm sure there are plenty of legitimate yoga studios around. I look forward to finding them because this place is a fraud. It's too bad because this place is right down the street from and I can walk there, but they would rather loose a new client than honor the classes they paid for. I ve emailed them multiple times, but I haven t gotten a single response in the matter. Stay away!

Great classes. There instructors are made in house with their Green monkey certification. They provide hot yoga as well as a variety of styles to choose from. What's great is that they also sponsor free community yoga events sign up for their newsletter to stay informed. It can be challenging to find parking in the area at peak times like lunch and later in the evening after 5pm.

The lady working the front desk was so kind in helping me take care of my dog. I had missed my flight home and wanted to take a class, but there was nowhere for my dog to go. She cared for my dog and was so kind to me, too. As for the class itself, I believe the instructor's name was Dan. He had very playful and intelligent sequencing. He was extremely skilled in teaching an open level format, where he was helpful to the beginners in the room while also offering more playful and advanced variations. He walked around the room and made multiple adjustments on each person. His music was some aya-inspired Beach-house which was fun and supported his energy and the flow of class. Overall, it exceeded my expectations to be honest. I will be coming back here upon my return to Miami

Non heated classes with no ventilation, incense, is for a heated class. If you pay for a non heated class, do not expect the air to be on. Hair on the floor. Dirty. Smelly equipment. yuck

All I can say is wow! I've been a consistent yoga practitioner for the last 2 years as well as dating a yoga instructor also. The Sunday after noon shivasana with Luis was easily my most challenging yoga class. We had just completed an hour long cycling class (to raise money for cancer research). We thought to find a nice "restorative" yoga class. Or at least that's what the website indicated. But boy were we wrong. The room was easily 80 plus degrees.every movement encouraged more sweat. I fsweated more than I ever have in my life. Let alone a yoga class. If you enjoy yoga and wish to challenge yourself. Take my word for it and take that class. I can wait to return to test the limits of my body again.

The worst phone service by a young lady in a rush to close the studio on 7/27/17 at 8:26pm. Every question l asked she answered with something completely different. Knows nothing about classes, nothing about dates and schedules, as she is the "front desk" only, no idea if there is any info on the website, l can't leave my email address with her to get info later either. Why did l even call?
