I dropped off several large sheets of styrofoam and an old desktop computer. They were super helpful with unloading, I was in and out in under 10 minutes, and they charged me only $3 for the styrofoam. Way easier than breaking it up and putting little bits in my trash every week, and way better for the environment. Super convenient off of 101.

They were very helpful and explained their services clearly. So nice to have a place to dispose of much electronics and electrical items without having to just dump them in a trash bin. Keep up the good work.

I've brought computers, components, and a/v equipment here several times. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, and only sometimes have I paid a nominal cost ($1 today). The best place for a quick in and out drop-off of old/broken equipment.

DO NOT BUY!

DO NOT BUY!

This company sold me a broken laptop that had issues from day 1. I contacted them as soon as it was having issues and they told me it's normal. After several weeks later, the computer didn't turn on at all. Coincidentally, the 90 day warranty just ran out a week ago.

I paid shipping to send it to greencitizen, and paid shipping to get it back.
Greencitizen claimed that the logic board was replaced. After I received it, I shortly had the same problem again. And now they refuse to take back their broken laptop.

DO NOT BUY OR DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

It is so convenient - you drive up, they unload your stuff, you fill out a small form (less than a minute) and then you leave feeling virtuous because you have recycled fairly toxic products. No appointment needed. On top of that, they are very friendly. I would use them again. Make that: I will use them again.

I have used Greener Citizen periodically for my recycling needs on appropriate items. They have always been unfailingly polite and efficient. Usually I'm out in less than five minutes. When I recently recycled an old CRT TV, they even helped me get it out of the car; and it was heavy!

We've been working GreenCitizen for a few years now and it's always a pleasure working with them. They have a great website that make e-recycling as easy as 1-2-3. Their pick-up crew is friendly, prompt and reliable and their email response time is great.

Green Citizen and the stuff are seriously committed to recycling. I live 5 hours north of the City, but whenever I come down, I bring the styrofoam that Green Citizen actually gets recycled, as well as any ewaste. They are providing a much needed service.

Super-easy convenient way to dispose of technology. Park right outside - walk in, hand over the stuff and pretty much done! I dropped off 3 laptops and various cables. Great customer service. I paid to have 1 hard drive destroyed since we couldn't wipe it clean. I appreciate the piece of mind. Will be back with additional phones, tvs etc.

When I arrived the employee greeted me with a smile and quickly took the products from my hands as it was quite cumbersome holding multiple things. Asked if I needed anything further. And told me to have a great day. He had a smile the entire time. Definitely great costumer service. I highly recommend this company.

Covid drop-off is so easy! Hope you continue it this way after the pandemic is done. I'm all about sustainability and so blessed that we have this service locally. I'm a private individual but founded a Zero Plastic Waste FB page to advocate for less plastics.

I had a 112 lb. CRT Sharp TV sitting in my living room for way too long taking up room and being an eye sore! My wife told me about GreenCitizen after a little research on the web. The customer service was very professional and personal. As a past president of a San Francisco Merchants Association and owner of a green company since 1984, The Health Paws, I highly recommend this company to provide for your electronic recycling services.

Very nice people, but $40 to recycle a few old computers.... The dumpster out back is a way better deal. I'm just sayin.

[reply to owner]
There were a couple of stereos and a electric car charger (I would have thought the 25' copper cable would have been worth something), and and old printer. I'm not knocking your business model. I just am not going to participate in that recycle model if it costs so much. The last printer I gave to a e-waste center didn't get charged for, and the dumpster out back (which belongs to my company), is both free and legal. As you perhaps could guess by the electric car charger, I am pretty new age. But I am not $40 worth of new age. I bet I am not the only one.

I'm glad I finally found out about this place! It's super-easy and fast to drop off unwanted electronics. Between this and Goodwill, I'm able to responsibly declutter my apartment with no problem.

They moved to Mountain View at 2500 El Camino Real, on the corner opposite Whole Foods and Target. Other than that, smooth transaction; they took a carload of old electronics and didn't seem too picky.
