Original Review: Saw they were playing Start Wars, and got all excited about the OMNIMAX. Unfortunately, it was sold out for that date. Being so excited, we went to see their Robots anyway. Pretty good! We didn't go into the science center itself (the expo area), but the place is pretty slick. Gift shop is very reasonably priced, and concessions aren't bad. Check out the pictures, they give a much better idea of the place! Also, bring your ticket to the garage and they discount your parking! :) Update: Had an awesome experience here at the OMNIMAX for the Robot movie, and HAD to see Star Wars in 70mm. Great price for what one gets, at least compared to my local theaters.

I was rather flustered with a couple next to me, as they showed up late, and the last 25 minutes of the movie included their personal conversation for 30 seconds every other minute. Not the fault of the OMNIMAX. I advise the second last row, dead center. I'll be honest, I race to this seat. Next to it is an empty space, a great place to set down drinks or a bag, one can lean back (unlike the last row), and this spot is high enough that the safety bar does not impede the view of the screen. I can't wait for the next full feature film here!

You will love this place no matter your age! There are interesting things to do and try here for everyone. Tons of hands on simple science exhibits to try and learn something new. This place is huge and has a great space exhibit to celibate Ohio's many astronauts and rich history. Take a day and check this place out with the kids or a friend you won't be sorry! Oh and they offer a 50% OFF MILITARY DISCOUNT! That's the best military discount I've gotten anywhere!

I went with the family about 10 years ago when the first Titanic exhibit was there and we had a great time. Went again last week and most of the "main" exhibits were exactly the same! And beat up to boot. This is a terribly run operation, a shame given its great location. And with the explosion of IMAX screens running first run big movies (i.e. Transformers and Interstellar), why don't the clueless staff here start running something people will pay to see and get rid of the stupid, 40 minute nature films!

The cut-away anatomy exhibit 'Body Worlds' was extended to early 2021. Worth admission on its own. There's also classic hands-on science museum stuff but I would consider that to be germy before COVID. Maybe bring a stick to press all of the buttons.

I have two kids 4 and 6 years old and they both really enjoy visiting. The 4 year old loves the polymer place and can spend all day there. My 6 year old enjoys the presentations and being interactive. They built bugs from a sponge, toothpicks, and a motor and loved it. We have a year pass that works at other museums.

So much fun, kids really enjoyed themselves and so did the adults. The acoustics in the "visiting" exhibit were so bad we could not hear any of the automatic descriptions for the exhibits... Be prepared to pay a lot for their food if you purchase it there. Next time we will pack food...

It is one of the best places for family outings as well as to take kids along. The place in itself is a knowledge hub and the various exhibits depict the features of natural environment.Last week , i went here with my family and the kids in the family had a lot of fun along with learning.
The best place for kids.

So much to see and do, if you live in Cleveland it's almost impossible to say the words I'm bored! We could have spent three days at the Science Center! The William G Mather is a must-see, I mean how often do you get to go aboard a cargo ship?

Fun for the whole family! We love the science center. The grossology exhibit was hilarious, informative, and well, gross! They also allow you to put your ticket purchase towards a membership, which we did. I can t wait to make more regular visits!

Great Lakes Science Center is an exciting place for those who love to know about space crafts, missiles, life outside earth, space and many more practical science experiments. Very close to Lake, at cleveland downtown.

It was OK, really not so much for people in their 30's and 40's. The Smithsonian or Carnegie it was NOT. Too much chaos on the upper floor and lots of meltdowns in progress, both infantile and adult. Inadvertent sociological exhibit along with a cursory science exhibit. Kinda like Ikea I guess?

This place was a blast for me and for the kids. The staff was awesome and really knowledgeable...it's not just staffed with bored college kids like some of these museums. I talked to one guy, Andy, who has a geology degree. So much to do and see here...it could easily be a 4-5 hour visit if you wanted to experience everything you could.

The exhibits were great for the kids, but the show we saw was not very good. If you didn't sit in the front you couldn't see, and the women doing the experiments were overly perky but seemed poorly rehearsed.

What a fun place for all ages! We spent hours exploring, experiencing and learning with our 8 yo grandson. One warning--the cafe food is very expensive! Take your own and enjoy the picnic area if you go in nice weather. We loved the tape exhibit!

Wonderful place for kiddos to explore! The little kiddos area is well Cleaned and also enclosed so it is not difficult to keep an eye on your little one while also sitting on a bench and taking a breather. The exhibits are well thought out and intriguing.
