Came here cause I restaurant I love gets their bread from them. Not sure if what they sell to the public is quite as good but beats most bread you can buy in the area. They only open 4 hours a week. Went there on Sat noon, easy to miss as it's no regular store font. Shop was completely empty and a decent selection of bread. Everything was pretty good, I asked for their best recommendation and they suggested limited time chocolate chip cookies, asked and paid for 8 but they never showed in the bag. Called and but no one answered, it's a 45 minute drive from me so I guess I lose.

The rating says it all. The products speak louder. The best chocolate Babka ever. The best rye. Lavender sourdough? Yep. Croissants, cookies, pain au chocolat...and on and on. Exquisite delights that are a feast for the eyes. Friendly, outgoing, kind and helpful staff. Retail customers can only get their fill on Saturdays. Get there! Share with your neighbors and friends.

I drove all the way from South Denver to buy a Chesnut loaf of bread after the OWNER told me they would have this bread the weekend just before Valentine's Day. My French husband and I waited in a very long line just to be told "we don't have chesnut bread now... who told you that?" I reluctantly purchased some other bread and a few pastries because if I didn't the trip was a complete waste. They have bread sitting next to the floor where everyone is walking They have a ridiculous organization that forces their customers to suffer in weird winding lines in a room that's maybe 15x15 squeezing close to 50 people in this. I'm waiting for a REAL French bakery, this isn't one.

I try boutique bakery breads all over the country and this one had a huge amazing variety of high quality choices. It can be discouraging to see the long line but they ran it very efficiently and though there was a about a hundred people in front of me it only took about 45 minutes. BTW: I was there at about 10 minutes before opening. It was worth the wait and I left with a great selection of choices that lasted my entire visit even when sharing with friends. A must visit in the denver area and is almost as good as Zingermen's Bakery in Ann Arbor

How do I give this place 15 out of 5 stars? OMG this is the Eve to my "no carbs" Adam, but I just can't help it, their bread is SO GOOD. I drive from Denver to Golden just to stand in line. They say time is money but man, when you get their bread into your mouth all that waiting time is SO WORTH IT. And not only that, Kathy and her staff are just such wonderful people. Kathy, I truly am grateful for you!

I don't write reviews as often as I should, BUT this place deserves one. I've had the pleasure of traveling and tasting food from MANY places and this bakery is by far my Favorite in Colorado. I live on the far east side of Aurora and will drive (or my family) every week to every couple weeks for our selection. Grateful Bread Co has the best ethics, service and most amazing tasty products. Give them a try you won't regret it. And hey if there is a line then that is the place you wanna be getting your food. Any pro chef will say the same thing! !!! #Prayers #BestBakeryGratefulBread fyi their closed temp right now BUT keep updated on their webpage and facebook for updates!

Horrible. First visit was a holiday week so I forgave the 15-20 minute line. Second visit just a normal day in March and the LINE WAS OUT THE FREAKING DOOR! This isn't Russia, I am not waiting 30 minutes in line for bread that is good but not 30 minute line awesome. Learn how to run a business. Don't waste your time going here, you can get awesome bread at many of the great Italian restaurants/bakeries in North Denver without a 30 minute line.

First time visiting and they did a wonderful job. Very friendly staff, extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their baked goods. They have everything from light sourdoughs to wonderful whole wheat boules. Their pastries are fantastic too! I'd give them a 10 star rating if I could, will definitely be coming back every Saturday.

Grateful Bread had been around for a long time and is a favorite among resturaunts. This means they only do retail sales on Saturday. If you can get here Saturday morning. Do it! All the favorites run out fast. Awesome staff and even awesomer breads and treats! Jalapeno cheddar breads are drool worthy. Mmmm

Absolutely amazing bread. If you value a crusty French baguette, it s definitely worth the wait every retail Saturday. Other favorites are their rosemary sourdough, lavender sourdough, sticky buns, pretzels, and ginger molasses cookies.

The bad reviews of this business make me sick. Yes, their bread is very popular. Yes, there is a line to get it on Saturdays. Does that make them bad people? No, it means they have a good product. It's bread, not a cure for whatever you think it's going to cure. Get there a bit early, buy their lovely bread and enjoy it. These people take great pride in making a great product and will be doing so for a long time.
