Great choices for food and drink. Quiet atmosphere at a great location. Terrific restaurants and spa

We were in a master parlor suite, very spacious, double bathroom, table, bedroom, TV room, excellent kids club staff, excellent kitchen, all the attention in general amazing! We did not have a single problem, the children enjoyed, the adults too. The mixologist in the pool area is worth it too much !!!! From the moment of booking, our concierge was always on the lookout for everything you could need and want. The a la carte restaurants are a true delight. It also has a buffet overlooking the sea with a lot of delicious food. DOUBT, WE'LL BE BACK SOON

An extraordinary hotel in Riviera Nayarita, what to visit

My family had the most wonderful trip. The rooms were great, grounds of the hotel and beach are beautiful, service was excellent and there was so much for the kids to do. The day and night time activities were outstanding

My husband and I recently spent our honeymoon at Grand Velas. This was such a wonderful experience. The best part of our stay was the concierge, Jose Reynoso ("Chepe"), and his team. They booked our excursions, walked us to our spa appointments, ensured we had an excellent breakfast and afternoon snack/drinks, and created a romantic setting by covering our room in rose petals and flowers. The facilities were always clean and the staff is very friendly. The restaurants are superior (our favorite was Piaf; you have to experience the trombone player), the spa was extremely relaxing, and the resort is gorgeous. The front desk was also very accommodating, by exchanging dollars/pesos and adding taxicab rides to our final bill. We will definitely be returning to Grand Velas in the future, and would recommend it to our family and friends!

I can't put into words how amazing Grand Velas was. From the second you check in, to right when you leave, anything you could want is available. The staff is mostly very friendly, with the exception of a few. Their spa is very nice, though it should be noted that is not included in the stay, but totally worth a visit. I would love to go back one day.

Best all inclusive! Can't wait to return to this location and try the other locations.

A great hotel All super good. Food, excellent. But above all the friendly treatment of the staff. All the details are well taken care of. A large pool and generally a high-rise hotel. Very highly recommended. The kid club has areas of opportunity to make it a little more fun.

I loved the attention of all the food is very good and we had an incident we went out to dinner outside the hotel and back we had half a hour waiting for us to get a taxi we called the hotel and they immediately sent us. A first level security.

Environment and place very comfortable and quiet, the best hotels in Nuevo Vallarta !. The prices are fair for the excellent quality of service, all employees are very attentive and friendly. Without a doubt, I'll be back next year!

First, our room had no working air conditioning for 5 days!! It took complaining 3 times, to what we thought were competent staff, before someone finally show up on the 5th night and handed us our own room phone, which had front desk waiting to tell us the AC is broken. Uhmm yeah I could have told them this and did 3 times already. Now we must pack up and move to a room half the size. AC worked well, but now we had NO HOT WATER. And our new room had 2 phones with message lights that kept blinking no matter what you said or did, even after complaining to the front desk. so we threw them into the closet every night.
-Second, service in general was very lacking. We were very disappointed because the last time we had been here(January of 2015) service was excellent!! It felt like not enough staff for the amount of people at the resort. In all 3 of the restaurants we had to wait an average of 20 mins before our empty plates were taken away. Azul had the worst service. Once we would be seated, I would have to wait 30 mins before I could flag someone to get me water or coffee.
-Third, what was with all the construction and noise? Looked and sounded like there was building construction going on all over the resort. If I wanted noise I would have stayed home. Not sure what was going on, it was like things kept breaking because things weren't being maintained properly. We wanted a peaceful relaxing vacation, and that is NOT what happened.

We hope the maintenance was just bad timing.

Now the positive, if you are still reading this. Pools were very clean!! Perfect weather every day! Beach quality for walking was awesome! And the Spa...EXCELLENT!!! Restaurant menus were pretty good(range of choice and quality were really good), I even tried a few vegan menu items and they were very yummy!.

Grand Velas Riveria Nayarit is one of the best places we've been to in the world. This trip, there were a few "glitches", relatively minor, that our concierge Yazmin and her management reacted to in an extremely proactive manner, elevating our experience back to the "perfection" that we have come to expect. Food, drinks, entertainment, staff - all top notch. Loved the addition of the hawks to patrol the daytime bird population! So wonderful to watch them soar, and to walk around the resort greeting the guests.

Extraordinary place and service. A memorable space for my family.

Hotel had constant construction during the day. When staff arrived at 4 a.m., they made a racket every day checking in (lots of yelling and screaming when guests were obviously asleep). I would not stay again.

I have stayed at several locations in the PV area and I have to say this was the best. While the hotel itself was very nice, the beach was fantastic. The beach closer to downtown PV can be rocky and the waters a little rough. This beach was not only beautiful, but with very calm waves. Service, food and accommodations were top notch! Also, highly recommend taxi into Sayulita for lunch and shopping. Our cabbie waited for us -- total trip about 4 hours -- and we paid him $80 dollars and a $20 dollar trip. Totally worth it!

Stayed here 01/26/20-01/31/2020 for all inclusive. Service has been exceptional. All the staff has been friendly and went outa their way to made our stay great. Food has been good. Specialty restaurants were all above average but the Asian Specialty restaurant was particularly great. Will definitely come back and stay at this hotel. It has been a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Over charging for the little things.

$280 USD for a 90 min massage? I had several awesome massages while I was there the going rate was Around $60-80. and the ones I had off-site where as good as it gets. Had you had a reasonable price even say $120 or $150 I would have stayed on site and used the facility.

Same with the surfboard rentals, at any good all inclusive you expect all nonmotorized sports to be included and a variety of available sports. All you had were cheap blow molded kayaks and boogie boards. Even the few surfboards you had were $45/hr. I expect not to be gouged for the little things... You need some Hobie cats, some windsurfers, some surf ski's, and surfboards... heck charge an upfront price for a deluxe sports package if you have must but don't offend your clients with a cash grab it reeks of 3 star. Plus you are missing a huge client base that is actively seeking water sports, you need to up your game in this area, I like an active vacation and I had to go off site to sate my appetite.

Great wedding experience for my friends. LGBT friendly resort with amazing food and beautiful views. The excursions were great and the rooms are delightful and cozy . I had a wonderful experience. The loss of star was because there was no clear separation of the kids pool and the adults swim up bar.. If the resolve that I would say this is a 5 star experience for sure!
