Good location good food and wine close to theatre's and Fed square

Had a really lovely staycation a few months back and I just loved this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful

Venue space and cleanliness was great but food was very average

Nice views from some rooms... Bathrooms are very nice and rooms are quite large and beds are super comfy

Pool and spa closes at 7:30pm which does not cater for business professionals in any way. These are good times for children. Sort this out like other 5 star hotels worldwide. That is not a 5 star service. Even 8:30 doesnt cut it. 10pm is reasonable.

I attended a conference at Grand Hyatt. The meals were very tasty and change over of rooms was very smooth.

We had great service from as soon as we walked in.
A special mention to robin from front desk who went out his way to make our 1st wedding anniversary special. This is why we always highly recommend the grand Hyatt. Give that guy a free breaky!!

I didn't stay at this hotel but rather visited a friend. I did get a good look at the hotel and their room. Quite spacious with all the amenities. The view of Melbourne CBD is quite fantastic. It's definitely what you would expect of a classy hotel.

Lovely hotel, with lovely restaurants and many high end stores. Chanel on the right corner, Louis Vuitton on the other corner Bulgari around the side, if you've got big dollars, this is the place for you

The wait staff were fantastic, friendly and very efficient. The food was tasty although a bit pretentious for my taste. I was attending a luncheon in the Mayfair Ballroom and was disappointed in the directions to the room. There was another event on the same floor which was clearly marked. The ballroom itself was poorly set out so that some seats did not have a visual line to the guest speaker. This was not just a case of an obstructed view, I was unable to see the guest speaker at all. I was also surprised at how plain the room was, perhaps my expectations were too high, however the room was quite banal

Nice atmosphere but poor parking availability under basement. Took 25 minutes to find a parking spot during dinner time and wedding function. Poorly managed.

Love the Grand Hyatt. Very comfy rooms amd beds. Great gym and amazing club lounge on L32 which offers breakfast and canapes and drinks. Definitely good service and great value, especially if you are travelling as a couple and have time to work out in the morning and have drinks in the evening. Pay the extra $90 and book a club room.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt as part of the Frances Perry House transition program. Wow... What a stay. We loved every minute of it. The staff, food, the views, the rooms... It was all amazing. We will be back for another stay guys!

Situated in Collins Street, right in the heart of designer shopping. But also good location to see the Art Gallery and local graffiti alleys such as AC DC lane

I stayed here about a year ago and it was 5 star all the way, the club suite was lovely, and had a great city view.

With onsite parking and in a great location of Collins Street, is near all the high end shopping brands, and also great bars and restaurants as well.

The staff are so friendly and give the best service possible to make every guest feel important.

Great for a special night or weekend away, or a fun girls luxury weekend.
Room Tip: Treat yourself to a Club Suite

Had dinner there for a conference and the service and food was subpar especially for the price!

The location is very convenient as it is near public transport and in the heart of the city. They room was very clean and well organised!

Disgusting that this hotel believe they are a 5 star property. The management are lying thieves,and do not mind spending the investors money as if it were their little personal 'purse' The food from the Events kitchen is a danger and a potential RISK to ANYONE who may consume it. The company sponsor unskilled migrants and this reflects on the OHSAP internally. I was contracted for a days work. Underpaid, bullied and victimised. EQUALITY? audit this property ATO , FAIRWORK AUSTRALIA , VICTORIA POLICE. Global Hyatt should be informed on this disgusting unorganised pathetic excuse of a property.

Did not stay at hotel so am reviewing the lobby cafe. Unfortunately the view from the windows has been blocked out by the metro tunnel works which is unfortunate. However service was good and there are plenty of comfortable seats and it is quiet unlike a typical cafe. We had the devonshire tea, scones were great but could have done with some more cream and it was a bit steep at just shy of $20 for a couple of scones and a tea.

I did not stay there but the feel of it from the outside up to the reception is very impressive. Quality and class. But the furnishing is a little on the old side.

Still a classy hotel in Melbourne's epicentre. Corner rooms grant the bustling Collins Street Russell Street intersection view. L-angle sofa great to watch people on the streets. Room pretty much has everything for a luxury hotel especially the super comfy bed & well stocked fridge. One might argue finesse & modern tech like a larger smart TV with richer content & master room controls were lacking hence the very good rating for this stay.

Wife and I had out wedding there and it is a memory we reminisce on every day. We had strong expectations of the Grand Hyatt and boy did they not only deliver to them, but exceed on every level.

We were probably the over anxious couple who wanted everything organised and ensure all was in place early. Bonnie was particularly good at allaying any concerns we had and ensured all things were in order and everything went without a hitch. They even were able to adjust and accommodate some very unfortunate last minute changes (due to some unexpected health issues with some guests).

The day itself was made magical, thanks to the impeccable service to all guests from all the staff. Alex & Bonnie in particular were standouts. I've had the pleasure of being part of many weddings, including my sister's just 6 months prior and this was at another level entirely. Nothing seemed too difficult and all needs were pre-empted. At the reception, as soon as I thought I needed something, someone was there asking if I needed anything before I even verbalised it. I expected to go hungry despite the gorgeous food but ended up too full as they were generous.

I cannot recommend the Grand Hyatt Melbourne enough as a wedding venue. The best part was that this treatment wasn't only offered to us, but all guests given the feedback we go. Our entire family felt extremely special.

Last but not least, although you won't have time to truly appreciate the fantastic suite they give you, please make time for the breakfast buffer if you've never been. The best hotel buffet ever and we await our next stay there just so we can have breakfast again (as you can't just walk in on weekends unless you're staying overnight).

Thank you Grand Hyatt for making our wedding so memorable. I've tried to make this as succint as possible but it's still clear as day nearly 9 months later!!!

I stayed a week for business trip. Terrible housekeeping for a 5* hotel. Every day's housekeeping is bound to be short of something, no refills on complementary water one day, cups left unwashed another, floor mat taken away and not replaced, basic toiletries not replaced even when the bottle was empty. Not what I had expected, and I won't recommend to anyone now.

The restaurant (Collins Kitchen) here is a worthwhile place to have a good meal and a nice environment.

Impeccable service, luxurious and well appointed room and bathroom. Great central location with tram stop only a few metres away. Excellent breakfast. Helpful and polite staff. Would highly recommend.

Well appointed hotel. What you would expect from The grand Hyatt chain. Staff were friendly without being pretentious. Fabulous location. The rooms were well appointed, quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable.
The breakfast was outstanding. Numerous choices and all fresh.
