Upon my check in at midnight, I was put through a 30 - 40 minute ordeal of getting my room card and a family members room card as all of my suitcases were held in their room. They weren't there. I was refused a key and I had nothing on me but my purse. The staff at front desk, (Muhammad & Caroline) were extremely rude and it was the worst & most unprofessional guest service i've experienced. I was in tears by the end of it and I felt so un welcomed and offended that I was refused my baggage. Only until I had to explain it was my parents room, they got some other staff to escort me to the room which felt invasive and unnecessary. I was not impressed with this kind of treatment whatsoever. I don't wish this upon any other guest.

The best city hotel we have ever stayed in. It is a house with tradition and not a simple tourist bunker. Many business travelers, mixed with tourists from all over the world, make it seem so wonderfully lively. Here you can feel life, it pulsates and is omnipresent. Only 10 minutes from the airport, another 10 minutes to the Dubai Mall, or the beautiful La Mer Beach with its countless restaurants and fast food shops - normal prices like ours in DE. The staff are super friendly and courteous without being intrusive. All over. The rooms are lovely, large and flooded with light. The two 65 "LG TVs with Google Chromecast did their job perfectly, connected Netflix and off we went in the evening after the excursion. Beds are very large and comfortable, coffee maker and daily fresh fruit round it off. The bathroom was also very large and in great condition. The room service is amazing, the cleaning without any complaints. The food is just as excellent, the breakfast is unparalleled anywhere in the world. The dinner is always fresh and delicious, and there is something different every day. It is not an all-inclusive food stamp it has everything and you can find a new culinary adventure every day. Otherwise it is not far to the mall with the typical fast food shops. Without sounding derogatory, but our big guy always wanted Kentucky ... and I was happy after all, Having found Cinnabon. :)
The individual restaurants were only partially used by us, but were exquisite if visited. When booking half board, you receive a credit of 100 dirhams per meal / adult and 50 dirhams per meal / child. Additional booking of half board with Grand Club enables the consumption of wine and beer at dinner at no extra charge. Furthermore you can then

1) use the club on the top floor (food and drink)
2) go to dinner from 6 p.m. instead of 7 p.m.
3) consume alcoholic beverages like wine and beer.

But even without booking the Grand Club, there was wine and beer every two evenings, if you wanted to.

Particularly noteworthy is the wonderful, lovingly cared for hotel complex and lobby - all green. The pool area is heated in February (other cold months, too). The children's area is a dream. You have peace and quiet and beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. are adapted to the high level. The guests are international, but that doesn't matter. Nobody runs around drunk and messes around, nobody looks stupid. It is an oasis in the middle of a great city that never comes to rest. The train goes past the hotel, but that's not really a nuisance. When I'm in New York or Berlin, the traffic doesn't bother me either. You have to be clear here that it is a city hotel with a botanical garden INSIDE and OUT that is second to none. Furthermore, the GH Dubai offers a pool area that other 5 and 6 star hotels do not have! Spa, gym and indoor pool are very, very good. The gym has the latest equipment and enough space.

Once again explicitly on the situation. It is not a beach hotel, but within a few minutes by taxi you are in the middle of it all. If you live on a palm tree, for example, you always need over half an hour to get to the Burj Khalifa, for example. Since we like to do something with the kids in the evening, it was an ideal starting point. And most importantly, it is really recommended for families with children. The kids club costs money if you want to hand over the children, which we don't do on vacation. The pool area and slides, like the entire area, were really well received, our three were at travel time 4, 6 and 13.

We can only recommend this Grand Hyatt, it was not the last visit to this great place. Two more visits in July and October are booked and everyone is looking forward to it.
