The only thing I will say for the hotel is that it is an elegant hotel. The location is perfect. Staff respectful and concerned. The food is delicious. Historical figures from all over the world have also stayed here.

Gosh, this should have been a great experience, but it was not . This is 5 star hotel, but the service model is not running on all cylinders. For what they charge, if there is a problem, it should be corrected in a timely manner. Long story, but we had a mechanical problem that the staff could not correct. We were put in an inferior room with no status for 25 hours. I called many times and nicely asked for the manager to help. No response. After much wasted energy on our wedding anniversary trip, an American intern listened/helped straighten things out. I asked to talk to the manager, again to no avail. We did receive a slightly better room and half bottle of champaign with his card after, I wrote him a letter about our experience, but it was not what we had expected.... The food was very good , the hotel interesting, and the concierge services were very nice. Management seems sleepy and uninterested, from what we saw. Buyer beware. They need to retool.

Luxury hotel and spa on the shores of Lake Como with a marine theme. Beautiful outdoor pool overlooking the lake and terrace to eat or drink at any time. The building and facilities are already quite old (the hotel must be many years old) although they are quite well preserved. Prices according to its excellent location in the town of Bellagio and its range of services (high prices). Still worth taking something or eat on your terrace enjoying the views or try some treatment in your Spa.

I have had the opportunity to visit this spectacular hotel, it is a completely magical and unforgettable place, the views of Lago di Como are truly majestic, we have admired their stays; and the food in the restaurant is truly exquisite and let's not even talk about homegrown wine, it is intoxicating, truly fascinating; I recommend 1000% a stay in this majestic 5-star deluxe hotel ...

Villa Serbelloni is one of the largest and most luxurious hotels in the world. Ideally located at the tip of the promontory of Bellagio, a few kilometers from Como, former resort of the noble Milanese, the villa is set in the middle of a beautiful park and overlooks both the turquoise water of the lake and the Alps

Not probably a beautiful and expensive place, a hotel which is owned by the Rodshild Foundation. The restaurants of the hotel is very tasty, everyone will find something for themselves.

Marvellous Grand Hotel, with the charming glamour of historical retro atmosphere. But with nicest and kind personal. Warm and friendly atmosphere in a sophisticated ambient that merges classic style with modern facilities. All in a magic location right between the two branches of Como lake.

Beautiful setting at lake Como! The kind of place where James Bond would appear in a smoking. Relaxing little pool area with access to the lake. A bit touristy (american travel groups) Friendly staff, but don't expect the service level of an equally priced international 5star hotel chain. All things considered a very nice place for a quiet w-end.

Villa Serbelloni, previously also known as Bellagi...

Villa Serbelloni, previously also known as Bellagio Castle, is a villa located in the town of Bellagio, on the promontory area. It is thought that the same promontory was the seat of the Villa Tragedia by Plinio il Giovane; instead it is sure that the area was the site of the first residential pleasure villa built on the lake on the ruins of an ancient castle. In 1539 the Sfondratis came into possession of the house went destroyed in a fire and rebuilt according to current features. The name of the villa derives from the Serbelloni family that inherited in the person of Alexander Serbelloni in 1788 by the last Sfondrati. Later, after a brief period as a hotel in 1929, the villa was purchased by billionaire Ella Walker who then bequeathed it to the Rockefeller Foundation, the current owner, who has turned into a conference center.

Villa Serbelloni, formerly known as Bellagio Castle, is a villa located in the city of Bellagio, in the Cape region. It is estimated that the same cape is the place of the villa Tragedy of Pliny the Younger; instead it is certain that the area is home to the first residential pleasure villa built on a lake above the ruins of an ancient castle.

In 1539, Sfondrati belonged to the villa which was destroyed in the fire and rebuilt it according to the existing features.

The name of this villa comes from the Serbelloni family who inherited it in the person of Alessandro Serbelloni in 1788 from the last Sfondrati.

The most exquisitely beautiful and warm hotel you'll stay at - a family run 5 star hotel that truly feels like home. Every single staff member exudes a passion and pride for their service and this human touch makes for an unforgettably cozy stay in a hotel of heritage and grandeur.
Please, stay here - Treat yourself to a room with a view of the lake (all of them do), dance along to the mellifluous tunes of the live band in the ornate reception hall, dine at the Michelin starred Molecular cuisine Mistro Restaurant fronting the lake while watching the sun set on the lake...

Few hotels on Lake Como have a better location. The hotel oozes grandness with spacious rooms and high ceilings throughout making for a light and airy feel in the summer heat. The hotel facilities are excellent and include two lovely pools, multiple bars, a spa and two restaurants, with very attentive and pleasant staff. One very minor gripe was the ironing service - for "safety reasons" the hotel would not provide an iron and ironing board. The alternative is to use the hotel laundry and ironing service - the cost to iron one shirt was 13 and for one cotton dress 23 (make sure to pack the travel iron!). This was though a minor issue in an otherwise wonderful stay at Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni.

A wonderful hotel, directly and fantastically beautifully located on Lake Como / in Bellagio.
We felt very comfortable and received a very warm and friendly welcome, even though we arrived far too early.
The hotel is well furnished, the rooms are very clean, the staff above average friendly and courteous.
There is also a clear recommendation for traveling with children, the hotel is extremely child-friendly.

We are very happy to have found Villa Serbelloni and will definitely come again. 5 stars at the highest level. Mille grazie! Fam. Corr

GHVS is like dating a supermodel (don't think ahead). At first blush, you are blown away. This is a spectacular property in a spectacular location in one of the most beautiful towns on planet Earth. Every inch of the GHVS is ornate and spellbinding. Looking this good though, your expectations are high. Here is my humble opinion. The staff, to be sure, was extremely nice but not effusive. In their defense, I heard much more English than Italian, and I would bet the American lack of politeness gets tiring after a long summer. Sorry for the editorial comment, but it's true. Our room was fine, but historical, in not such a great way. A small three point chandelier hung from the high ceiling, making the room dimly lit. The air conditioning was old technology. It pushed out cold damp air making the room cool, but not that comfortable. The bed. Oh, the bed. The keystone of a good hotel room. The bottom sheet was fine, the top sheet was thick, unusually so, hard and not comfortable at all. The pillow was hard and awful. The bathroom is beautiful and works great for two people. Breakfast the next morning was more of the same. The room looks like the hall of mirrors in Versailles; just spectacular. But, the eggs were cold and the croissants hard. This hotel is, of course, the jewel in the crown of hotels in Bellagio and I would stay there again. If you go, just remember, supermodels have plenty of foibles too.
