Grand Café XO Review

While I do drink coffee on occasion, I am not a coffee enthusiast, so it may seem weird that I am giving a coffee shop five stars.

It's for the food. They serve the most delicious and interesting breakfast in Plano. I love their specials, home-made salsa, and home-made fruit spread for their delicious toast.

They make breakfast with a skill and complexity most reserve only for making dinner.

If you like tasty breakfast, you should absolutely try them out.

Oh yeah and they have good coffee. :-D

P.S.: they also have interesting-sounding vegan choices

Great coffee and food. Service is good, and staff are kind and attentive. I would say it's a little pink for men, but I think it's a good place to enjoy brunch and hangout with friends. I forgot to mention they do have almond milk and soymilk option for people who cannot enjoy milk.

Cute and cozy spot in downtown Plano. Nutella Stuffed French Toast is absolutely amazing! Blueberry waffle is subpar - beautifully presented but not flavorful and overcooked. Iced coffee is delicious. Nice spot if I'm in the area but would not go out of my way for it.

Awesome coffee shop. I got the nitro iced coffee and it was legit. I wish downtown Plano had this place years ago.

Best addition to downtown Plano! Everything is delicious from their coffee with or without their homemade syrups, to their expertly crafted cuisine. The baristas are ridiculously friendly and the owners always make sure to stop by your table! Try their chef's vegetable soup and the brownie cheesecake jar!!!

I ordered the Lavender Iced Latte and it was delicious! Just stopped by for a quick to go drink before going to work so wasn t able to try food items. Such a cozy atmosphere, I will definitely be back to try more of the menu items or to study!

A lovely small space. Great food and desserts. But the coffee drinks are the bomb. Any time I drive through Plano I try to make a stop for cup of XO love.

I'm so glad that I dicovered this place in downtown Plano, beautiful atmosphere and great staff. I had pulled roasted chicken sandwich and the taste was stunning, whoever the chef behind that sandwich recipe he is genius and the latte was heavenly good. The art on the latte was also very beautiful.

My visit did not go well. I don't even know how they served something like this. I requested to speak with the manager to express my concern but apparently he is the chef and was too busy in the kitchen.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in the city. The food was so delicious, I like eggs benedict and the hoisin sauce chicken skewers . A great atmosphere and great staff!

The food is good, not many options but it is a coffee shop. Staff is friendly and always goes above and beyond to answer any questions. I would give this place 5 stars but I have been asking for a dark roast since they have opened. Their coffee is too weak and they don't offer a dark roast which is not good business for a coffee shop. Please get a dark roast and I would love to post a new review.

Great aesthetic and location. Service was good and staff was friendly. Good food menu and offers special events with chef cooked food.

We officed around the corner for 2 years. The coffee, pastry and sandwiches are less than average. It is easily a comfortable environment and that is one thing they have going right. The staff and management seem punchy. Sooo, food, coffee and service almost suck. Nice location. They blow it almost all the time.

From the moment we walked in, I loved this place. It's a good size cafe with fresh made coffees and delicious brunch items. We ordered the mocha, caramel latte, Nutella stuffed french toast with sugared bacon and cheesesteak. That French toast and bacon was simply amazing. I would go back over and over again for that. The staff was all really helpful and friendly as well. Go early in order to get a good table!

Not sure how I feel yet. Their drip coffee seems to always be out when I go in for a quick cup before I go back to work. I tried a latte recently and they don't seem to know how to create microfoam, mine looked like a bubble bath and tasted off.

Update: Went back the other day. They still can't get it together with the drip coffee being ready, but their milk steaming seems to be getting better.

Cute and cozy! Feels like Valentine s Day when you walk in. We came here for breakfast, but they serve lunch early as well. I ordered the scrambled eggs with mushrooms and my daughter ordered the fettuccini herb pasta. Both dishes were delicious and the portions were perfect. I look forward to coming back to try more items from their menu and specialty drinks.

Vanilla latte was great, as were the Nutella french toast!! Mariana (the cashier) was super friendly and attentive. The shop is super cute!!Will definitely come back!

Nice cozy place to stop by for breakfast and a coffee. They have a nice blend, and while I had time for just a cortado (made nicely by the barista) I was able to peak on the tables around the quality of food served. Gladly going back to taste some of those goodies next time! They have funny posters for a perfect selfie ;)

A lot of good options, but I would avoid the croissants. Not really the best.

Great spot for brunch or coffee. They serve Novel coffee, which is the best locally roasted coffee in Dallas.

Great atmosphere but if I were to come back I would ask for eggs to be not moist and bacon cooked longer as it ruined the experience. Coffee is bitter and takes alot of sugar to override the flavor. Disappointed as I feel as if a minute more in the kitchen would've solved this. Overall greasy and eggs were too moist for being scrambled. $12 for this combo was a bit steep.

Can t believe it took me so long to go here! I went for lunch on Friday and it wasn t too crowded or too loud. My friend and I could easily hear each other- not the case at some coffee shops. I got the smoked lox avocado toast, per an employees suggestion. Not something I would have picked but it was so good. Also got a vanilla latte that was good.

Nice quiet little spot with good food and unexpectedly large portions.

Great coffee, great baked treats, cozy atmosphere. I sat cranking out art for some time and totally last track of time because I was quite cozy.

Cute place. Drinks are fine. Service was super slow compared to other coffee shops. Took over 15 minutes to make an Iced Americano. My sister waited for over 45 minutes for an omelette and ended up cancelling it because we didn't want to wait any longer.

Nice atmosphere and decor. Decent food. A little bit pricey for what you get.

Not impressed. Cheap plastic furniture, overpriced food, and mediocre coffee. All hard surfaces + loud music + lots of people talking = a lot of noise. It feels like the place is trying to be more than what it is. Plus, it's just not warm and comfortable.

My dad, My daughter & I visited this shop for our monthly hang out and it is in my top 5 for sure. They were very accommadating to making my daughters drink to her liking and were fairly quick at cleaning tables when a party would leave so that we could sit down. Ham & Swiss sandwhich with veggies was SO good! That side of veggies! I NEED the recipe! <3

In A Nutshell:

-XO Coffee Company located in downtown Plano, Texas was a very nice find.
-We chose this place to meet up w/ some friends scattered around the Dallas suburbs b/c it's a central location.
-Parking was very easy to find.
-As you walk inside you'll notice the counter is located in the middle of the shop w/ places to sit/lounge surrounding it.
-There is plenty of seating, but it can get packed fairly quickly.
-The food was very, very good.
-Order the blueberry waffle, quiche and breakfast burrito.
-Wash it all down w/ some crisp mimosa's, which come served w/ your own small champagne bottle.

Overall, the vibe is great and if you love taking photos of your food, there is plenty of natural light to make your shots come out perfect.

I was first time visit with friends and it was very nicely set! good to meet friends and talk and eat

Signature drip was bitter/burnt. Breakfast burrito was bland and blueberry waffle didn t taste like a waffle. It tasted more like white bread. Sugared bacon used too much white sugar and came in a soggy, tangled pile.

Mohammed was a sweetheart .Even though it was closing time he was super nice and made my iced mocha great.

Went here for the first time today and LOVED it! We had the carinvore omelette, salted caramel (syrup made in house) iced latte, cinnamon waffle w/ fresh fruit, and lavendar lemonade. We like to try lots of things in new places. ;) It was all awesome. Simple, FRESH, and prepared perfectly. Went to tell the staff how good everything was, including the service, and met the owners. We will definitely be back. :-)

Quality food, quality staff, quality coffee, can t beat this. I got my coffee before I had even finished paying and my food was at the table 3 minutes after I say down. I have nothing negative to say at all about the place. Support local and check this place out.

Very nice atmosphere with long tables for bigger groups. There are few coffee places with this many food options, so it is kind of unique.

We got the Nutella stuffed French toast, very good pairing with the bacon that comes with it. Also got a hot tea and a lavender iced latte. Lavender was a bit too strong but otherwise everything else was good. Can benefit from more outlets as well.

Have been there twice. We were there during open mic. We ordered the Patti melt and veggie tacos.
The two of us that ate the Patti melt became incredibly sick. When I contacted the manager, he made excuses and offered no apology. Nothing. He said their meat was fresh from that day. He insinuated that maybe we were just "allergic" to the seasonings. I think I would know if I'm allergic to cinnamon, cardamom The lack of good customer service is what left me feeling incredibly disappointed. I'm sure every restaurant has issues like this but making your customer feel like you could care less, now that is a shame. The staff is always nice but this man should not be the manager if he lacks customer service skills.

Quality was good, but expensive. Won't go back at those prices. Over $16(includes 15% tip)for a small Americano and breakfast burrito. Music was too loud.

So first off I noticed that the owner replies to mostly good reviews and not many bad reviews. Second we had frozen vanilla cupcake and it tasted nothing like a cupcake and really was not that good. Third someone who ordered after me got their order before I did.... terrible service! Will try this place one more time because I want to try a frozen chocolate cupcake.... hoping they were just having a off day

Cool little downtown Plano coffee shop. Great coffee and food!

I add the pumpkin spice syrup to the chai latte, and it's the best I have ever had. Today was my 2nd visit, and I have been craving it since the last time I was here. This coffee shop is 40 mins from my house, or I'd frequent every day!

Very cozy place with awesome coffee: I don't remember last time I was so impressed with coffee. Personnel is very kind and accommodating. I recommend it to everyone!

Came here to try it out on a whim. We're glad we did! We ordered the Greek Chicken omelette, and it was divine! The hibiscus tea was fruity and refreshing. The staff was so helpful and very attentive. We will definitely come again!

3 stars because they don't have sugar free flavorings. Otherwise the teas are great! The atmosphere is light and engaging.

Came in on a cold day to meet a friend for lunch and so happy we decided on this cute cafe. I had an almond milk caramel latte and it was creamy and delicious. I ordered the spinach artichoke frittata and it was so yummy! I loved that they gave me housemade golden raisin compote to go with my Texas toast. It was an unexpectedly delicious addition. Great atmosphere in the heart of downtown. I'll definitely be back!

Really cute, a wonderful atmosphere inside! Great music, great coffee (with cute coffee art), and the food was delicious!

Cute cafe with limited breakfast and lunch options. Unfortunately, their service was not great when we visited. While the staff were polite, we had to ask for water 5 times before it was finally delivered to our table AFTER we finished our meals. Furthermore, they forgot to include toast in my wife's meal and replaced bell peppers with jalapenos in my omelette without asking me. Hopefully, this turns out to be a one-off incident.

Love this place! All of the employees are so friendly and it is really cute inside. I order a chai latte and it was equally beautifully presented and delicious. I also got the eggs Benedict with crispy bacon! So yummy! I will definitely be back again!

Coffee is fantastic here and among the best I've had in Dallas. The food is also excellent as well as the service.
