Dick’s Power Equipment, Inc Review

Brought my back pack blower to Padula Brothers in Taunton for a tune up. they had it for over 4 weeks and didn't get to it. After getting it back from Padula brothers, I drover right to Dicks to have it worked on. They said it would be a week and were done with it in 3 days. Not local to me but worth the drive! Great service.

Great store. I buy my power tools there because they fix what they sell. Everything breaks so I need a local place to get my tools fixed.

Brought my Snow Blower over on a Saturday and they had it all tuned up and serviced ready for pickup the next Monday. Fairly priced and good customer service. Thank you to Peter and crew!

Excellent service - they fixed my chain saw last fall in 2 days, very competent staff (Claudia and her dad Peter) - then, when a minor idle problem developed in the last month, they fixed it while I waited - 5 minutes.
In December, I dropped by to discuss generators - they steered me to an excellent unit that will power most of my house for less $ than I expected to pay. Very knowledgeable - went over all the operating controls, best fuel to use, best maintenance practices. I'm a very happy customer.

If you buy equipment here, you will be happy you did for a long time. Not a usual feedback person, but when service exceeds my expectation I like to share that experience.

These guys saved my Memorial Day weekend and a little bit of my pride! My neighbor had offered his mower to me (nice gesture!) because my lawn looked like a forclosed property and he saw me working on a 1979 Ariens all week which I'm sure he thought was hopeless since it sat outside in our neighbors yard for nine years. "If you can't get it running, you can borrow mine." Oooooh no man I WILL get this thing running! Home stretch, LIT-ER-ALLY the final wrench turn and carb jet snaps. I called Dick's @ 4:30pm on Saturday of a long weekend and I was 30mins away, offered to pay by credit card so they could even leave the part outside and was told don't sweat it they will be there. They were, didn't feel rushed, got my part, got the mower running and got my lawn mowed. A1+ customer service!!!

Stopped in a couple days ago to set up a pick up- repair -and deliver for my snow blower. It a large machine 10hp and needs a truck. So I was willing to pay the extra for the pick up/delivery service. The repairs discussed at this time was to repair the forward drive because it moved forward sporadically. I guessed the pressure plate needed adjusting. (reverse works fine) Anyway I got a call today(the scheduled day for pick up) saying its a really old machine and they didn't want to pick it up because it looks old and has some rust. I was questioned if it ran. And if I was just trying to "trick" them into picking it up without the intention of paying for the repairs...Are you kidding me? I specifically explained that it ran and goes in reverse no problem during my initial request for service and when I agreed to pay the extra for pick up and delivery.
Moral is, if you have a machine some years old they're not interested in working on it. They apparently want it to ne nice and shiny (or new) to work on it. They'd be happy to sell me a new one I'm sure!
No thanks, my old rust bucket with cast iron block puts anything made today to shame.

I just stopped in because I broke my cord for my power washer they had the cord and I wanted to put it on a credit card didn't have cash on me and the guy said don't worry about it get me when you can that is super Service in my book!

I have used these folks for repairs a couple of times and they have been great. One time, I had to leave my weed whacker there, so they could work on it. That took a bit of time, but not too bad. The price was not cheap, but it was fair. Another time I had a chain saw sharpened, and another time one worked on there. Again, a fair price and decent turnaround. The mechanics are very nice people and will do what they can to help you. The mechanics there have earned my repeat business.
