I had a diamond and blue sapphire made for my wife because someone stole a similar ring 30 years ago and they nailed it! Kame was outstanding and Dan Gould Jewelers will be my jeweler for life.

This is my experience today (5/20/2017) at Dan Gould Jewelers. I have never left a merchant review before, although I did post this on yelp just minutes ago. I stopped in today to ask if they had the ability to complete a watch repair. The repair consisted of removing a leather strap that was essentially stuck (Panerai style with hollow tube for drilled lugs that I installed on a Swiss Automatic Chronograph (Hamilton X-Wind) without drilled lugs not knowing it would be impossible to remove). Both a male and female employee reviewed and discussed the issue and informed me that the common method to remove a stuck spring pin is to simply pull it out by gripping with a pliers or similar tool. I wasn't concerned with damaging the leather strap in the removal process but I expressed concern that the watch lugs might be damaged by pulling the pin. The employees clearly stated that it was at my risk but that they have never see a watch lug damaged by pulling a spring pin out. I decided to go forward with the spring pin removal as suggested. The female employee took the watch and in my plain sight took a pliers to the leather strap around the pin. Rather than simply pull the pin out she rotated the pliers as if to get leverage again the watch body!!! She then asked me if I could try because her hands weren't strong enough. I took the watch and immediately could see that she had damaged the watch case with the pliers. I finished removing the spring pin without further damage. Next I removed the 2nd spring pin by simply pulling the pin away from the watch (the way they explained the process it to me) and not trying to use the watch itself as a leverage point. I removed the 2nd spring pin with zero damage to the watch. I am literally sick to my stomach that someone working in the jewelry business would be so inept and careless with a pair of pliers when I was so easily able to perform the same task without any damage to the watch. I don't care if it's a Timex or a Rolex.... seriously... I'm looking at gouges in the case and bezel of the watch (that was approximately 18 months old and still in mint 98% condition) and cannot believe that this just happened. I don't even think the employee knows what she did and I decided to leave without causing a scene. This jeweler might be fine for purchasing from, but I cannot recommend letting them touch anything you value after this experience. I acknowledge that I handed the watch to her but I never would have thought that a jeweler would use a tool that way. The gouges that she left in the watch are not repairable. I will never set foot in Dan Gould's Jewelers again and want to prevent anyone else from having a similar experience.

I first met Dan when his current shop was still Gould's Jewelry. They branched off and he kept the store that was in the family. I have taken several items to him to have fixed or upgraded, my husband goes there almost every "hallmark" holiday and he never has let me down. I am thankful that I've found a private personable jeweler rather than going to some chain and spending twice or even triple the amount that Dan charges! Keep up the FANTASTIC customer service!!!! I ve been patiently waiting for 3 months to post a review (I had to wait till she had the ring). We visited all the big jewelers and we were NOT impressed. Some jewelers tried there hardest to convince us to go with a lab diamonds. Some try to steer us away from customizing the ring of her dreams or just flat out told us that what we wanted to do wasn t possible...but not Dan Gould. I went into Dan Gould Jewelry with the intention of being stand offfish... I told him I wasn t going to buy. I told him I wasn t looking for the sales pitch. Quite frankly, we were all shopped out. But Dan is one of the most personal guys in the industry. We didn t talk Sales for the first 30 minutes. He *Listened... He was *Friendly... He showed *Interest... And he was *Honest...all along knowing that I had no intention of buying, no money to put down, and terrible credit. He took the extra steps, and went the extra mile while getting to know us. And a few weeks later, after designing the beautiful ring of her dreams, I scrapped up the money and bought it. The ring was a custom job so Dan offered to put the stone in a solitaire setting until it came in. Thursday, January 31st, 2019 was the big day. I proposed on the land we recently bought it Florida. It was absolutely perfect. And I couldn t have done it without Dan Gould s help. The ring is absolutely gorgeous and I can guarantee that I won t go anywhere else ever again! Thanks for your help Dan!!

Based on their good reviews, I went to Dan Gould Jewelers today. Good experience with Kamy. Ordered a pendant to be made and a ring setting to be changed. Also, a few years ago, I went to another Anoka jeweler to change batteries and was told the clocks did not work. Today I finally tried again. New batteries in my (always were working) Waterford Crystal clock and gem globe stand clock. And I was treated with respect. What a wonderful difference.

I went in to Dan's to buy my mom a mother's day necklace a week before mothers day and they did everything they could to get the necklace ready for me for mother's day. they really went the extra mile to earn my business. When I went to pick it up Dan himself rang up and gift wrapped my purchase he was very nice and you could tell that he lead by example. they always put the customer first it was refreshing. I went back about a week later to get a chain for the pendent and Kami was super helpful she took the time to really get to know us and what we were shopping for. I will recommend them to anyone.

Terrible customer service. This was my first ever experience here. I ordered a pandora charm about a week before valentines day, and expected it to be in about 2 weeks later, when they said it would come in. Well I called before valentines day to see if maybe they got one in. The girl laughed at me and told me pandora takes much longer than that and they will call me when it's in. Off to a good start... More than three weeks after date of purchase, I get a call and go in. When I get there, I talk to Dan and complain about the customer service and the wait. He was understanding of the customer service portion, but told me 3 weeks is not that much longer, and didn't agree. When it's a gift you've been waiting for and it's already late, time kinda matters. When I told him that I did not plan on coming back in the future, I was expecting him (the owner) to try to make things right and keep me as a customer. Well, that was not the case at all. He said "oh, well, here" gave me my charm and walked away. No attempt to make ammends. Didn't even turn around to watch me leave. So I walked out and will never walk back in. If it hadn't taken three weeks for the charm to get in, I would have asked for a refund and then walked away. I'm not one to ever write reviews, but this place is somewhere people should avoid. They don't value you as a customer. Find somewhere else!

Amazing experience! Dan is wonderful. He figured out exactly how to turn our ideas about a ring into a beautiful reality. He really listened to us and kept working until it was exactly as we had imagined. Turn around for a custom ring was quick and Dan kept us continually updated. Dan was recommended by numerous people as the "go to" guy for jewelry. We are relatively new to the state and haven't found our local jewler yet. Long story short, my wife had her wedding ring snap a post and we lost (then later found) the diamond. After 14yrs she was ready for a change instead of repairing the ring set. Dan was very helpful with showing us options for a new set, and providing "trade-in" value for the current set minus the solitare. We ended up picking out a beautiful set from his estate jewelry collection that also has a matching anniversary band I can hold on to for our 15th. The quality of the diamonds, and the new set are awesome, wife is happy. Dan worked with us to find the right set, at the right price. I even decided to swap out my band! Sizing and appraisals have all been very expedient. I think we found our guy.

Dan Gould Jewelers has been a godsend for me following the death of my mother. I inherited several pieces of her jewelry, and Dan has helped me preserve the pieces I wanted to keep and wear for myself. Mom had the tiniest, slender fingers! Pictured here is her wedding set that was a size 5.25. For three years, I hesitated to size this to my size 6.75 finger because Dan warned me that the design may not be able to be preserved. After such a long deliberation, I chose to gamble that his goldsmith could make this very important ring fit my "man hands" even if he had to insert a plain section that I could hide inside my hand. Look at the marvelous work that was performed! You cannot tell that this ring has been disturbed in any way! Trust Dan Gould to help you.

Feels like it could be a little understaffed but when he helps you he does a fantastic job. He gives you the best options and really shows you what you are getting for your money. I brought my watch in to get fixed and he told me exactly what to expect and ways I could go for getting it fixed along with the price.

After my grandma passed she left me a small inheritance of $1000. I wanted a ring made in her remembrance. I went right to this location of Gould jewelers as it is the original and I'm sentimental like that after living my entire life in the anoka area. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions and I had a beautiful custom ring made. I'm extremely happy with the service and product I recieved.

It was an unfortunate end to an exciting beginning. I was looking to mount my wedding ring in a new setting and found Dan to help me in this process. However, our collaboration and agreement was verbal. Unfortunately I was too trusting and this led to the incorrect setting being used for my ring. So after weeks of waiting and mistakes made I walked away with 1) anger and frustration 2) the wrong ring 3) disappointment in the way the whole situation was handled. Bottom line, be careful with who you work with and get it in writing!!

We went to Dan Gould Jewelers to look for a ring for my wife. Relaxed atmosphere, the owner was onsite and engaging with us. We met a salesperson named Kamy and she did an excellent job showing us different options. We found what we were looking for. In fact it went so well we had them fix a ring of ours that needed new prongs. They fixed it quickly and for a reasonable price. My wife's mother had recently gone to a chain store jeweler everyone is familiar with to get an estimate for her ring that needed repairs. They wanted close to $1000. Dan Gould fixed it for $100. They have earned our trust, our continued business, and of course our referrals.
