Was so keen to find and support a local bike shop ...

Was so keen to find and support a local bike shop for our mountain bikes. Very average service when I wanted new brakes and service for my Trek. Brakes were well fitted, rest of the bike wasn't touched as if it had never been agreed.
Most recently wanted my wife's bike (another Trek) looked at with a brake issue needing replacement. But was told too busy (barely took the call) to do it. "Come back in 4 months."
I've now ordered my full Yeti SB130 Custom build from a highly rated and regarded shop which is four hour drive away (rather than the ten minutes to bike active) as simply can't trust the service and seems I'm not alone.

Very unimpressed with this company. Ordered in good faith, called twice, poor service. No order update, no tracking details. Said would call back, did not do so. Appear to have no concept of customer service.
Please ship the goods we have paid for.

Bought an Ibis from Bikeactive recently. I knew the bike I wanted, knew I would have to wait a while with Covid and Brexit delays, but with a little bit of patience and flexibility on colour and exact specifications it came through. I'm really pleased with it. The shop can get busy from time to time, but if you can't get through on the phone then drop them a mail and you'll get a response. A happy customer.

Ordered a bike in Sep 2020 which was due for delivery Dec 2020, Dec came and no bike was told it was stuck in the port due to covid, come Feb still no bike i was now being told there was trouble getting suspension hence the delay come March still getting nowhere and no real explanation on when my bike is coming.
Decided to phone to company to hear for myself whats happening, i explained everything to them and to my suprise Rob had never even ordered the bike, he claims he did but never provided me with the confirmation which i had ask for proof of.

Very very dissapointed to say the least!!

the customer service from Bike Active is just the absolute worst, the owner Rob even agreed with me. blaming being busy for not answering his email.
After emailing 3 times with no response, I started messaging him in Instagram publically for him to respond to me, to which he responded but said he wasn't aware how Instagram messaging worked and for me to email him.

after a few weeks of this I decided to recall my payment back from PayPal and that's where Rob contacted me and started to listen.

Not the best experience, ordered a Commencal and paid the deposit 7 weeks ago, had no update and chased regularly, got told the bike was arriving in the last few weeks and after that time had passed I then got told it was never even originally ordered - Commencal have now discontinued the model. Was offered a replacement (cheaper) 2021 but would have to wait until the end of the year. Looked in to alternatives but they weren't able to find anything. Really not good service, no response to emails or direct messages and they're not really too sure what's going on when you're on the phone. Seem like nice enough guys and have a passion for it but really poor to not even order the products your customers have paid for.

Unbelievably poor service. I ordered a Ragley Mmmbop back in February 2020 and I paid a deposit. Then the current situation hit and being self employed I had to put the purchase on hold. I was told by Rob that the bike had arrived and he would keep it for me until I was ready to proceed. A few weeks later I was ready to pay the balance, however I was told there would now be a wait for the bike. Although I have never received any answers from Rob, I believe he sold my bike and was hoping to get another one in for when I was ready. Why wasn't I contacted if thats what he intended? I wouldn't have had a problem with it and would have understood. Rob didn't reply to any emails or phone calls and I'm appalled at the way he runs his business. Being self employed myself if I treated my customers that way I wouldn't have a business.
