Rooms nice, clean. Restaurant completely inconsistent, nice eggs Benedict one morning, next morning the muffins weren't toasted and it was refrigerator cold. Dinner was awful. asked for newspaper each day, never got one in 4 nights stay. Also set up 4 am wakeup call. It never happened, thank goodness for my phone. This nice hotel badly needs a good manager overseeing.

Used to walk past this hotel when I was wee and wish I could stay in it so was extra special for me.
Booked for long wkend. Staff had been more than accommodating. Room was a delight. Big shower and bath too. Only issue was it was a bit too hot and part of shower leaked.
Facilities were great. Highlight was hot tub and swimming pool. Superb views from hot tub. Food and drink were excellent.

As husband's were away for golf holiday my friend and I took advantage of their offer of spa treatment, bed and breakfast and 6 course taster dinner.Could use the pool etc from morning of our arrival and next morning as well. The taster dinner was excellent as was the breakfast. We had up grade on our room as there was noisy work being done in hotel.Weather didn't let us use the outside hot tub.Good excuse to go back.

Great location on the beach at Nairn, lovely family room with a bonus box of chocolates on arrival and great quality food. We ate from the table d'hote taster menu on the first night, but upgraded to the a la carte on the second night and enjoyed a very impressive meal. Although it's not cheap, due to the standard of the food and accommodation, and of course the leisure facilities, it was very good value and we will return. There was a good buzz about the place and the location is great for a family holiday. Would be nice to see the tennis courts in a better state of repair.

This is probably the worst money for value place I've stayed in ever.
The staff is seriously inexperienced.
The dining here is the most excruciating I've suffered in a long time and certainly not befitting a place carrying this price tag. Slow service, dirty tables (our table had beer rings from an earlier 19th hole celebration that had taken place in the dining room and the tableware was just laid on top of the mess, and when we complained, a waiter brought a dripping, stinky rag and, pushing all the stuff aside, slap-dashedly mopped the table and replaced the cutlery on top of the now stinking, wet tabletop), order mix-ups, long periods of time where waiters seem to have disappeared, are just a few of the things you have to put up with if you eat here.
We ordered drinks before dinner and they brought the food first (35 minutes after ordering), so we sent it back and then when we'd finally had our drinks, they brought back the food, stone cold.
In all, we sat for 2,5 hours for a simple dinner and left fuming.
Breakfast took us 1 hour to have because the waiters would not bring our coffee and toast. If we'd ordered scrambled eggs we might still be sitting at the table now!
Maintenance is low and I even had a leak in the bathroom ceiling where water filtered through from the shower upstairs and dripped down the light fixture every time the people above showered. I reported this to the morning staff at the reception desk and in the afternoon, when I asked if it had been taken care of, nobody knew what I was talking about.
They also misplaced a bag of laundry and it took them most of a day to find it stowed away in a cloak room.
Unless you're a hardcore golfer and really don't care where you stay, or just want a good pampering at the spa, which is staffed independently and quite good, avoid this place.
I give it two points because the view is nice if you have an ocean-facing room.

My husband and I went for a meal at the Golf View Hotel and Spa. My husband and I got married at the Golf View Hotel seventeen years ago and celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary seven years ago at the hotel. The hotel has changed quite a bit in the seven years and its amazing how great it looks now. The food is very good and the staff are very friendly. The hotel is also dog friendly

Superb Open Day at the Golf View on Sunday 28 January All the family - great granny, granny, grandpa, Mum, Dad and 2 children - had a wonderful time in the swimming pool and gym followed by a fun face painting session by a very talented artist and an excellent lunch. Many thanks to the staff at the Golf View form making the open day so welcoming and enjoyable.

Great food and service. Four adults and one toddler in for a quiet family lunch ate well looked after and had a great meal. Views from the conservatory over the Moray Firth provide a lovely backdrop and the relaxed atmosphere in the hotel made for a relaxing afternoon.

The health club is a fantastic place to relax, kick back, and get fit. Super friendly team! The fitness equipment is a little dated but the location with the fantastic views more than makes up for it. Great value for money for a health club.

Beautiful refurbished bedroom with ensuite, including bath and very large shower. Pleasant staff, excellent food but very disorganised dining room. Some people waiting 45 minutes from order being taken to be served

Recently refurbished with management and staff changes this is a hotel which has high ambitions to move up the rankings. The staff are superbly helpful, very knowledgeable and clearly well drilled. The renewed facilities and rooms are some of the best around, including a new spa and gym. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and, in our Christmas package, superbly served and prepared. The hotel is right next to the beach and one of the top Scottish golf courses. The local CoOp also is close and sells top up champagne at good prices. Great walks and access to Inverness and the Highlands beyond. Compares well with some of the best hotel experiences I've had internationally and nationally. Get there quick before the prices match the quality!

Quiet hotel by the sea, with a small gym, swimming pool, Turkish bath, sauna and Jacuzzi that opens from 7 to 20:45.
The restaurant is very busy and the food is good despite the fact that the service is slow and not very attentive, but the views of the sea are worth it.
The rooms have large bathrooms with bath and separate shower and are newly remodeled, but the room area has a slightly updated appearance and seems dirty even if it is not because of the carpet that leaves water as combed

Super pool area and view, excellent food, the room was good although it was a little bit worn out. Friendly staff. Spa treatments were very good, the lady who does them is excellent at her job. Overall very nice hotel.

Lovely rooms clean and plenty room for your personal belongings. Shower is perfect.slept very well. Staff are very polite, careing and understanding for any requirements you may need. Meals are lovely, petite so 3 course would be beneficial to keep the appetite full. Breakfast has a vast amount to offer and catered for all dietary requirements well recommended. A beautiful scenery at the dining/lounge area where it over looks the nairn beach and the coast.

Pretty cool old building on the edge of Nairn right on the beach. Sleepy little village, enjoyed the pool and the beach combing. Didn't like the view of the laundry room from our window...

Decided to make a use of the tier one restrictions and have a very local trip to the golf view hotel in Nairn.

It completely trumped my expectations, it was an incredible hotel, the room was in great condition, spacious and comfortable, there was an old style radio playing when we checked into it it and it was really nice touch. All the room furnishings really added to this rooms feeling of luxury.

We ate at the hotel, I had the tbone steak, my partner had lamb rump and both of us were delighted with our choice. We shared a bread and butter pudding, the highlight or the meal. Not usually the sort of thing I would have but wow it was good.

The hotel have great covid measure in place, really clear and good at keeping customers I formed of the rules. We made use of the pool which my 18 month old absolutely loved, great to see her in the pool.

The views surrounding the hotel are unreal, my pictures don't do it justice.

The highlight of the stay has to be the full Scottish breakfast. I am someone who travels for and stays in hotels week by week what you tend to find is breakfasts are ok, the quality of the produce can be hit or miss. This was by some way the best breakfast I have eaten in a hotel the quality of the food was hard to comprehend, even the mushrooms just tasted better than any I have had before!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay again even though it's only 30 mins from our house!!
