When you go there it seems like you are in foreign. Its totally clean and at night lighting is awsome

Trip to Amritsar is not complete without a visit to Sri Harmander Sahib.This is the place for first footsteps goes for Amritsar.As you this by night with lights it was amazing.By day and by night you must have to visit..First every one has to cover their heads by dupatta or something like clothes cover for men.There is different que for men and women.It's souuround by man made sarover. Which looks beautiful.There is very positive thoughts and prayers and vibe comes over there.must must visit..

It is the largest religious place of coins.... Lakhs of people here on their forehead... Here people of all religions come to the forehead... There are four gates of Gurudwara Sahib, which symbolizes the thing that here all religions are given a respect.... Here people come from India, but there is a lot of devotees from the country but here Mother... This Gurudwara is made of gold layer.... Where there is a huge sarover house, it is in the middle of the gurudwara lake.. Where anchor facility is available for passengers on 24 hours... I think every person should come here once in life

It's always soothing to visit holy place but I found all these people "beggars" very annoying outside gurdwara. When I first entered, I gave money to the first few who had an excuse of school fee or hunger or hungry baby but then I noticed every other beggar is coming up with same excuse and the moment after receiving the money, pity expressions on their face vanished and they were onto next person

Superb place. Loved the place with lights at night. Its so neat and clean. Must see. The one star deducted is due to poor crowd management. Have experienced crowds at other religious places but this was too crowded with lots of pushing and jostling. Had a hard time with a 2 year old in hand.

The Golden Temple is also referred to as "Darbar Sahib or Harmandar Sahib", and is one of the oldest worship places for the Indian Sikh. It is located in Amritsar, Punjab.

A religious place of Sikh Community where anyone from any community can visit without any hesitation. Guru da Lungar runs on 24x7 for the public. A very peaceful place. One should visit at least once in his life.

The holy worship place where you will find peace and solitude

Obviously when you are in Amritsar you must visit the Golden Temple. This beautifully lit temple also offers very basic but free food for everyone. I also recommend to visit at night to catch really good photos of the Temple

A Peaceful place for everyone.there is no police,no home guard,no security,but all are following discipline.

Great place to visit if you are an outsider. Just a mere glimpse of the temple will fill your heart with joy and peace and if you want to contribute you can provide seva in the temple. The best thing is that there is no VIP culture.

This was one of the dream destinations for me to visit but just because of 2 men, my experience was very upsetting.

You either allow photography or completely disallow it. There are signs put up for prohibition of photography but same time it is allowed and you see people at venue, your friends and celebrities uploading their selfies.

If it is not allowed, there should be enough security to stop everyone from taking even a single picture.

This security team of the gurudwara who are in blue kurtas and walking around the premises with a spear snatched my phone from my hand, went through my gallery and deleted the photos.
He has no right to take away the phone from my possession. He can ask me to delete it and I would gladly do it myself. There are personal photos in my phone and he had no right to intrude and beach my privacy like that.

This was just very discouraging and left a bad taste about the while experience.

It's just that few negligible people and their actions can ruin the experience of such a magnificent and powerful space.

I would like the management to take a note of this and visitors too.

What to say about the place. .. .. Loved a lot visiting Golden Temple, a kind of peace here you get is worthy. One should visit Harminder Sahib ( Golden Temple) atleast once in his/her life. Loved the place a lot.

It's an overwhelming experience really. We had gone during holiday season, so unable to enter inside due to the long queue. But it looks mesmerising at night. And the atmosphere is very serene.

This is heaven, the best place on earth.

Sorry I don't have words to describe about this holy place...even no one can give review about this place.....But I must tell you , feeling you got after entering this place is surreal.....you can feel the positivity and calmness in each and every corner of this holy place....must must must visit gurudwara even if you are not sikh..

The place has been reconstructed beautifully. But one should only visit there explore eating street food but must not shop any articles from the near market shops. These amritsari shopkeepers loot and cheat tourists. Never but any clothes or juttis from that place

Always feel really good while visiting golden temple. Even though there are so many visitor coming in but you still feel calm when inside. They have completely changed the nearby area for those who visited say 5 years back. Very good systematic arrangement.

The place is like heaven so soothing and peaceful. Even after so much of footfall temple premises is clean and well maintained. When visiting the main sanctum sanctorum and if you have a small child you can ask to enter from the exit place (after seeking permission) for a fast darshan. The place has a good market all along. Free shoe service is available before main entry. Buy a can (available for Rs10/20 outside) if you wish to take holy water along with you. Multi level Parking is available nearby. Don t get into the e rickshaw from parking point as it is hardly 5 mins walk from the parking and they charge Rs 100. All major places accept cards for payment. Must try amritsari kulcha. Its a total veg zone. Major food chains like Subway, Cafe Coffee Day , Mac Donald and Dominos Pizza are present. SBI atm is available near the Temple.
