It's the selflessness of the Sikh community

They serve langar (free meals) throughout the day and all of it managed with ultimate precision. Every batch of hundreds and sometimes thousand people are served with intervals of less than 15-25 mins.
They don't push anyone out of the main structure like all the other places do. You can stay there for as much time as you would like to.
They do not entertain the VIP and everyone follows the exact same procedure to get in. Of course, you can request by just saying Wahe Guru and people allow you to go ahead of them.

I was figuratively stunned by the enchanting beauty and timeless peace that I got there. This is by far one of the best highlight of my life.

Words cannot explain the experience. Its a very pious place and peace you feel here is unimaginable.

Located in the centre of Amritsar, Punjab, Gurdwara Shri Harmandir Sahib is one of the holiest place in the entire world. It is renowned worldwide as The Golden Temple. As the name itself suggest, it is covered by real gold. One can find nothing but peace here. It is a wonderful experience everytime one visits here. I just cannot define the beauty of this place. I suggest everyone should visit this place at least once in their life. Peace .

Sri Harmander Sahib, also known as Golden temple. Here you find inner peace and happiness.There are so many tourist come from other cities as well as abroad. The langer service inner the temple is too good and fast and hotel facilities are also available near the temple. Recommended :- Visit Golden at early in the morning or night because view of Golden Temple is amazing.

Founded in 1604 and the way it has evolved and has been maintained is really outstanding. On Saturdays and Sundays it would take close to 2hrs for darshan. If you go around 3am on these days, it will be faster. If you want to do paalki darshan, then go around 5am.
Don't miss the Prasad, awesome halwa.

History of Amritsar It is the holiest Gurdwara and the most important pilgrimage site of Sikhism. The temple is built around a man-made pool (sarovar) that was completed by Guru Ram Das in 1577. Guru Arjan, the fifth Guru of Sikhism, requested Sai Mir Mian Mohammed, a Muslim Pir of Lahore, to lay its foundation stone in 1589.

One of the best place to visit. Golden temple is such a beautiful palace. They even give free food (Langer) to thousands of people everyday who visit golden temple. The place is very clear and have a wonderful carving.
They even have restroom services.
We could go in inside the temple as their was a huge line. We can even seat their and relax.
The is covered with night lighting which make is more attractive.

Holy place . Amazing to visit at night time with all the lighting. You have to deposit your shoes (along with socks) at the counters. And them enter the temple.

This place is just heaven on earth. The aura is so so positive and I feel so energetic early in the morning for darshan... You get positive vibes and you want to be here again and again... Never miss Langer here the normal dal roti tastes so so much good than any best restaurants in the world... Must visit place... Try to get hotels near the temple to avoid traffic and getting late for darshan...

Sikh pilgrimage. I was amazed to see the Faith,Devotion,dedication,passion of Sikh community toward there religion. Very well maintained campus,Neat and clean,I would recommend evening visit, Holly Lake view is magnificent in evening in the light. Langer Seva (Food) is available 24*7 and 365 days one should must try.I would recommend All the religion to visit and learn lesson form the Sikh community...!

I was very much impressed with the discipline of the people. There was a long queue but all were good enough to get through in no time.

This is a truly amazing place.
It is one of those places that pictures just can't get across how amazing it looks but more how it feels.
The area around it is commercial but not in an over facing way.
It was always busy and we went several times at different parts of the day. It is a major religious site but we felt welcomed by the people there even though we were clearly tourists.
It was a good place to sit and people watch and to talk to the Indian visitors and temple workers.

This place is pure Bliss. I saw it for the first time, in the night, and I was almost in tears. Such purity, such peace that I've always strived for. When I entered, I sat there in awe, pure awe. Such beauty exists, and I was fortunate enough and grateful to have seen it now, to have experienced what I've always wanted between people, countries, and continents, a picture of world peace. Just stay quiet here, and listen to everything else. Yes you can actually listen to the calm, the serenity, the happiness of people, and I promise you'll be fulfilled with it.

A must visit placee... You should go there ... The peace you will find there cannot be described in words... Its immense... The pond which cover harmandir sahib from four sides is super religious and clean and the water in it is not cold either..
As you know harmandir side is all gold it is covered with gold foil so the gold shine is a desert to the eyes

The Holy pond and Gurudwara Harmandir Sahib is a place where you can get peace for your soul. This place has one small Gurudwara Budha Sahib in front of Bair tree, you must feel certain vibrations there.

ITS THE HEAVEN ON EARTH! BELIEVE ME ..IF U WANT PEACE AND CALMNESS SURELY GO IN THE GREAT GOLDEN TEMPLE !

It is the holiest Gurudwara of all and the most important pilgrimage site. People from all walks of life, caste, religion come here everyday to pray. The temple is built wonderfully. It has engravings on walls. The names of the people who contributed monetarily for the building of temple are engraved on walls. It has 4 doors from where one can enter the Temple.
Some tips/advise for having a wonderful time in Golden Temple:-
1. Early morning visit(before 9 o'clock) and after 8 pm in the evening is highly recommended. It's less crowded during these times.
2. Carry scarf or handkerchief to cover your head. Before entering the temple make sure to cover your head and maintain it all the time while you are inside the temple premises. If you forget to bring scarf or handkerchief, you can buy one from nearby stores or collect one near shoe stand for free.
3. Free shoes stands are available. Don't pay for one.
4. Taking photography inside the temple is prohibited (though people take photos).
5. Free food/meal is available in Langar Hall(inside temple) for all 24/7, 365 days a year. Enjoy the food.
6. Respect the culture and avoid talking while inside. Maintain peace.

I will recommend visiting the temple twice. Once in the morning and another in the evening. It looks spectacular in the evening.

Harmandir Sahib is one of the most important religious shrines in India - Sikh community's grandest structure. A must visit for anyone who wants to discover the spiritual discourse that India has to offer. Just remember that you are supposed to cover your head while entering the temple and make sure to enjoy the 'langhar' (community meal) offered here for all pilgrims.
