Been playing yugioh here on Saturdays for the last 5 years, it's like a big welcoming family and keeps me out of trouble.
Been playing yugioh here on Saturdays for the last 5 years, it's like a big welcoming family and keeps me out of trouble.
Staff is friendly and helpful. I go for the DnD minis, and they have the newest ones right when they come out and at good prices.
The manager Beth is super nice, always gets my special orders in and calls when they arrive. Recent redid all the Warhammer shelving and it looks great.
Very big selection of games, manga, comics, figures, and collectables. The staff is always nice and helpful, plus tables in the back to play among other people
This place has everything that you could be looking for from D&D figures to board games. They have something for everyone if your looking for it. They are for helpful in finding and answering questions
Comics to Melissa & Doug toys and everything in between. Cool store!
Very helpful guy, answered all my questions and helped suggest new games to get in the future.
Though they have a limited staff they are very friendly and helpfull and even then they are very busy on key days like fridays and saturdays so we should give the employees some slack this hobby shop has a great selection and deserves better than they get from alot of ppl
Best selection of products in a game store. The item won't be cheap, but chances are that they'll have whatever you're looking for.
Decent store that used to be the only gaming store around, but now that Gnome Games is in town they've had to step up their game. They have all new revamped hours and events simply because Gnome already has all of those events. I guess I like that they've added new things, but it is a real shame that it took them this long to fix some of their issues like their hours, events being held and customer treatment. Before Gnome came they weren't always the friendliest, mostly catering to regulars and that's it. Store is still cluttered and seems somewhat dirty every time I go in there, not like the clean and spacious feeling I get at Gnome Games. They have good deals on current Magic The Gathering product, as you can buy three standard legal boosters for $10 instead of the normal $12 or $13 other places, but that's not enough to get me to go there regularly.
Still a great place to go for hobby needs. Paints, games, cards, models, books, and much, much more. Staff is laid back, yet professional, creating a welcoming experience that doesn't feel forced.
Its basically game stop for board games, card games and comic books.
Great Place, Good People; They do not sell Individual Cards all the time, so if you are looking for something specific, Always Ask.
Great selection of games, comics and accessories. A very friendly staff.
Pretty nice place with a large selection of both games, comics, and collectables.
Love the mtg selection here. Tons of products at great prices.
This is (primarily) an excellent roll playing and board game store.
Nice but the employees sometimes look like they do not want to be there. Haha.
Everything you'd ever want/need from a hobby shop. Cards, puzzles, boardgames, and everything in between. A true collectors dream.
Nice big store with tons of stock. They even have some interesting rares in the glass cabinets. They didn't have what I was hoping to find, but the staff were more than kind and referred me to a possible solution at a neighboring store. 10/10, Thanks!
It has been a while since we were here last, and it appeared that our rewards card had been culled (understandable) but the cashier didn't start a new one for us and acted like he would have preferred being anywhere but there.
Employees are knowledgeable and willing to help look for items even if they dont have it at the store.
Very friendly atmosphere and very relaxed people. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive and also very patient when my friend and I couldn't make up our minds XD but they helped us with the decision and now it's only a matter of time before we come back.
My out of town friend lived seeing the wide selection
Wide selection of games and collectibles, good knowledgeable staff with good customer service
Great place to get board games. Staff is knowledgeable.
Favorite local game store for all my roleplaying needs.
This is the location in Appleton. I've been going to this store since I was a kid. It is the best place in the area to get any sort of board and card games you're interested in.
Large selection, wide open gaming area, and nice employees. Prices definitely seem a bit high.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great selection of games for all ages.
Staff is helpful and kind. Found what I was looking for easily!
Board games, Friendly staff. Customer loyalty program.
Great games and toys that are hard to get anywhere else, a must see!
Best game/card shop ever. Super impressed as an out of town visitor
I've been going to Chimera for several years and it's easily the best hobby shop in all of the fox valley. You can pretty much get anything you want here in the realm of board games, comics and graphic novels, magic cards, and tabletop products. All of the members of staff are friendly and easy going and if you need anything in particular they're very helpful, even if it's something they have to order. It's the only place where I buy my Warhammer models and paints, check them out!
Great store with great staff. Wide selection of comics, games and trading cards. If you like MTG, it is a phenominal place to check out.
Great place for games, comics, puzzles, collectibles, and more. Friendly staff and a huge selection.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They carry a diverse range of products and merchandise. Chimera also provides a large space for gamers to meet and play, with private rooms available for serious campaigns.
Employees customer service is lacking. And they act more as babysitters for the people who sit all day in the back of the store. The environment is very unwelcoming to new players, the seating is cramped and uncomfortable, the bathroom smells like cat piss, and they charge more than other stores do for pre-release, pass on this one.
Not how I remember it and the staff seemed to be annoyed that I asked a question
They have everything you could want for DnD or other tabletop games. Huge selection of minis and mtg singles. They also have a large play area in the back of the store for causal and tournament play.
Very good local store. Has comics, casual games, party games stratagy games, puzzles, nickknacks, trading cards, and a game librsry you can test some games with your friends. Friendly and helpful staff would highly recommend purchasing here.
Limited options here but beggars can't be choosers. Still a pretty good selection considering. Big community gaming room in the back
It's a place to buy things and stuff. People are there and are good. Yay! Look! A rabbit!
What they have in inventory and variety is made up for the store's lack of atmosphere.
Appleton's hobby shop. MSRP on everything but the loyalty program is good. They have a decent selection of terrain and whatnot for wargaming, a library of board games, and a lot of table space for cards, minis, and RPGs.
Chimera is a last nostalgic vestige of a dying breed of hometown hobby shops untouched by the corporate influence the finds modern shops stark white and lined with the newest batch of crowd-funded board games.
Have a good selection and the staff is pretty knowledgeable.
Always able to find what we want. Staff is friendly and very helpful when I had questions.
Great gaming store. Had space for games to be played and a very large selection of role playing games. One section in the front had toys and kits for kids, very interesting!
Great variety of games that you won't find in big box stores.
Very friendly employees with plenty of space for any game.
Chimera has all I need for role playing games and more. They have themed merchandise and educational games too.
Love this store! Helpful staff, huge selections especially table top rpg books and board games. I've been going here for decades. Check it out.
The staff is well versed in every aspect of the gaming market. They are also friendly AND professional. Perhaps professionalism is the most important, as you are not stuck in long checkout lines (or otherwise) waiting for service because of overly talkative staff.
Lots of gaming options. A lot of the games there o had never seen before. I went in and found the exact game I was looking for.
Super fun store. Helpful knowledgeable staff. We come in for the board games and add ons. Always a card game of some kind going on in the back. Good selection and open to hearing suggestions for more obscure items. Definately first choice in the valley.
Oh! A very fun store! Shop here for hundreds of great ideas for Christmas, Birthdays, or any other gifts - or something fun for yourself. You'll be amazed! Nice, helpful staff.
I really enjoy the Fond du Lac store. I haven't been to the Appleton one yet, but if it is similar then I am sure I'd enjoy it. Helpful staff who can give you as much information as you need on any and all of their products. Kudos!
Best place for RPG's and gaming supplies. Bob the owner is a great guy, and Beth is awesome! Been coming here for years and will keep coming back!
Very knowledgeable staff, and if they don't have what your looking for they can try ordering it. Only bad side is the store is very cramped and the isles are only sized for one person at a time.
Wonderful selection and the staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful
A great place to find everything you need for board games, card games, and miniatures!
Prices are high compared to other local hobby shops
