Very friendly and beautiful decor in which to watch a film

A little hidden gem. Houses a small cinema, bar and stage venue.

Really nice venue, the cinema is cosy and a lovely room. The tickets were very reasonable. Cafe was also good.

When I was a kid in Gloucester nearly 40 years ago this was a council building. What they have done to make it a cultural centre is fantastic.

small centrality located venue with bar . Tidy with good service , little walk to a carpark.

Gig / Concert venue:
I went to see a covers band, have also seen Bad Manners [the pie-eating band!] at this venue. Staff are helpful. There is a small lift for access. The bar usually doesn't have enough people working on it so queues for drinks can take a while. The venue itself has a sprung dancefloor which might need some new springs. There is oodles of character in this venue. Have a few drinks before you arrive (not too many) and you'll have a great time.

Love visiting the Guildhall for a cinema night out. Great homely atmosphere. And a decent selection of drinks from the car to accompany the movie. Not many cinemas with a piano in the corner of the room!

Great venue. Bar at the back during the concert. Easy access from roof top car park (free in the evening).

Use guild hall alot to see bands great venue ,reasonable drink prices too

Weather its a film or live performance you'll always walk away feeling that you've had a nice experience good stocked bar tea and coffee facility's polite and friendly staff

Great little music venue, always worth checking out, has some suprisingly big names from time to time, always well priced has a bar and has FREE PARKING in the kings walk car park after 6pm

I go here a mainly for the cinema. They show a great selection of films from around the globe, the prices are good and it's never crowded. There is plenty of space to stretch your legs and a fully stocked cafe bar is on offer. Okay, there's no popcorn, but you can sit back with a beer, cuppa tea on a hot chocolate and pay less than half the price you would at a chain cinema. Highly recommended

First time in Guildhall, very intimate, had a great time watching Upbeat Beatles, great musicians, good show. Reminiscent of Edinburgh festival shows.

Loads of stuff going on with easy parking very close by. Nice cafe and staff helpfull. Good room hire too useful for meetings and training. Really good space.

Great, if somewhat unusual venue. Good live music and the cinema is great if you fancy a rather different cinema experience.

Great venue in centre of Gloucester. Arts centre with cinema, meeting spaces, cafe box office and tourist information for the city. Holds varied programme all year round including a lively live performing arts programme. Music, dance, theatre, cinema and more....

An incredibly sticky dance floor comes to mind, literally felt as though you were peeling your feet of the floor with every step! That aside it's a great venue!

Small and intimate. Seems well organised for tickets and so on. Band was great but sound quality was not so good. Don't know why. Muffled

Always have a good night at the Guildhall, the only decent place for live music within 10 miles of Cheltenham.

Great venue for live music. Staff are friendly and polite which is nice. Bar takes a while but they are working hard so can't fault the staff. Thats the only reason I've not awarded 5 stars. Go and see for yourselves you wont regret it.

Super venue for gigs, great sound, atmospheric, saw Dodgy :)

Great building I remember from my childhood Co-op parties nice to see it being put to good use and not knocked down like they did in the 60s we lost a lot of beautiful buildings

It amazes me how a venue like this can also seem cosy. I'll definitely be back for the cinema and the forthcoming comic acts.

I travelled there to Jeffrey Martin and Anna Tivel in concert it was an intamate event, The stage was not used instesd on the main floor about 100 chairs in a semi cicle with bean bags for lounging in front of the performers on the same level as us, The gig was amazing and the acoustics great, The bar had a good choice of drinks nice venue

Nice place, great atmosphere, almost always something good going on, friendly staff and reasonably priced tickets.

Excellent venue to hire out with really helpful technical staff

Great little venue, watched a pink floyd tribute band. Car parking was free after 7pm and leads straight in the building. Drinks average price for what the night had to offer

Haven't been to see a band for years. They don't seemed to have cleaned the floor since last time bar reasonably priced and busy. Best thing is the floor moves with everyone dancing so you can just stand still but look as though you're joining in

Parked on roof above eastgate shopping centre and got lift down. Very narrow ramps down though.

A small intimate theatre that is looking a little tired.The staff work hard to make your visit enjoyable and there is a bar and coffee shop that are not too expensive.

A very different & excellent value cinema where one may bring bar purchases to a table close by one's seat.

Great venue and film! shame it was cold, extra heating required during cold spells I think.

Super friendly team and lovely facilities. They work hard at being inclusive too.

The floor is always sticky and when the crowd start rocking the floor bounces and feels quite unsafe. Other than that it's a great venue.

A good venue for all types of music, and other types of events. Only thing wasn't that great when I went was very slow at the bar, needed more staff as it was a very long queue.
