A magical place where you can walk with elephants and caress them, where suddenly you are surrounded by giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, ostriches ...
The cottage takes you directly to Karen Blixen.
And the terrace, over El Valle where the animals roam, ideal to enjoy the famous picnic basket and a beer while the sun sets.

This wedding venue is beautiful if you want the whole African outdoor wild life feel, they have zebras, tigers, buck, and so many more animals, and this just gives you a proper in the Savannah feel to it. It is a nature reserve that they added a wedding venue to, to make money to help maintain the animals. The wedding venue itself is beautiful, it is open though so you cant have a winter wedding here, or if it rains it may be a bit of a problem. But overall it is a stunning place.

Did the Glen Afric game drive. Was met by and guided around by a very knowledgeable young lady, who took a genuine interest in the visitors, and had a passion for the animals the farm cares for. Nothing was too much trouble, including getting close up photographs of the dangerous animals, using visitor cameras. Free parking is available on site, along with complementary tea and coffee and cake for guests waiting to take the game drive. Credit and debit cards are readily accepted, and lots of easy access to the various buildings on site for wheelchairs and less able people. Being only 1 hours drive from Santon in Johannesburg or 20 mins from Lanseria International airport. The beauty of this place is, money raised, is used in wild animal conservation. You are giving back to nature by visiting. When you have finished your game drive, a fully stocked bar, with stunning views or a meal in the on site restaurant is also available.

Excellent service. I would like to thank everyone, It has been our 4th time here and never been disappointed. Mel, Nadia and Corina thanks for being so professional at all times. Really enjoyed my time here. Awesome experience hanging out with the elephants, even touching and feeding them out of the hands. The restaurant and bar is great. Would love to come back for a weekend next time. Has a good vibe as well. The staff and service is great! Recommending it definitely.

Have visited many times, and always enjoy the hospitality of the staff. Love the interaction with the Elephants, and the game drive. The guide helped my disabled sister into the game park vehicle. Disabled friendly. Will be back again.

Beautiful, lots of greenery and lovely people. They are working now so there is a little bit of annoying.
The animals I think that in a reserve should not be in cages ... that is for the zoos ....

Best Place for inviting international friends... Friendly staff, with appealing manners. Elephant feeds, game tour, Giraffes, Zebras, Blesbok, and more, make it a family friendly visit or stay.
Beautiful views even from restaurant balcony, from which I could even see the big animals.

Awesome Sunday buffet lunch and elephant encounter. Decent classical roasts with hearty side dishes and lovely desserts. Staff are super friendly and efficient. Better service received here on the day than at a highly rated Sandton hotel the day before. The elephants visiting us on the balcony was of course the absolute highlight.

Our favourite place for a leisurely lunch away from the city or to take out of town visitors for a taste of the bush when they only have a few hours in Joburg. Combine it with Quad Biking at Segwati Getaways and you have an unforgettable afternoon. The setting here is beautiful, the animals wander right below you as you sit at the restaurant. The food is well priced and an excellent quality. It's a nice spot for youngish families too as the younger children were able to go on an organised game viewing while the adults could enjoy an undisturbed lunch. All this and it's only 30 mins away from Joburg, you'll feel as if you've had a weekend in the bush.

My wife and i were the on 8 November 2020 for the night.

The Reason this is a 3* Review Is beacause of the Staff... The receptionist was Fantastic.... she really made us feel welcome... untill we met the guys in the Restaurant.

They really made us feel unwelcome and like we were bothering them being there... really not a great experience. also had some power problems with power cutting and coming back every couple hours. Really underwhelming for paying R 1200.00 per night.

Other Than That the Receptionist was Great, And the views are amazing.

Amazing view from the restaurants. The service was great and the food was good. What was amazing was the staff. They made you feel at home and comfortable. Would recommend going there for a game drive.

It's really disappointing that they still haven't improved/tiled the parking area. It's the worst thing to walk to a wedding in that dirt, by the time you pass the parking, you need new pair of shoes and probably trousers. I get it, the experience has to be authentic but it's just a small area where the whole experience begins.

What a great experience and worth every cent. We booked a game drive and got to walk with the elephants, touch them and watch as they played in the water. Will be back again with the whole family.

Our experience relates only to interaction with elephants. Unfortunately the woman who accompanied us was very rude and was in a hurry to go back. So time was also really short. The location is nice but unfortunately the staff are not.

My experience is about the interaction with the elephant..the woman that accompanied us was really rude and was in a hurry to go back. So we remained with the elephant for a very short time. So the location is nice but the staff are really bad.

An absolutely gorgeous setting with breathtaking views. Giraffes aplenty and up close. I did not have the opportunity for a game drive, but heard the lions roaring down by the river. I've been told that the food is good, but the rooms could really do with a good clean.

Here we had the opportunity to walk for over two hours with a group of three elephants in very close contact, feeding them holding leaves directly in their mouth, a truly unique and exciting experience.
Then had lunch in the structure: excellent!
