Great finger food" main dishes and of course drinks :) . Had the burger myself and it was excellent. Staff really friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us (8-10 of us) without a booking. Thank you once again!!

The food is pretty good, 4/5 maybe? The Guinness is good too! I have been coming in and out for over 7 years now having lived and worked in the area. However I must say that every single time I am here the service is exceptionally poor. All waiters and waitresses are completely ambivalent to customers while at their table. No-one is seating customers right now during covid times and trying to get a bill delivered is like trying to hail a cab in the rain at 2 am :)

Overall you should come here (yes, I'm sitting here now, still waiting on the bill...) but please please please train your staff to pay more attention to customers. It is the only reason I sometimes avoid coming here.

Just had a meal there with some friends
Food was nice, service was very poor
Definitely not enough staff on duty
Strange that they spent so much on the place and it looks fantastic but then let themselves down with lack of service ...
Served our food and then no one came near us until we finally got their attention to get the bill

Established pub, serves good food and staff are helpful. New rooms for B&B are in progress at the moment but this is not affecting the day to day operation of the premises. Very close to Blackrock Clinic or if you are in the area this is a good place for lunch, and there is a car park at the rear.

Missed part of my order (it was delivery). Also, food was cold and food was completely different in taste and quality to the usual dine in service. They just lost a lifelong customer. Abysmal and inedible. Waste of 45 euro!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted in a very friendly and professional manner. Our room was a very spacious and modern and spotlessly clean . Coffee machine and kettle were provided and even a small bottle of hand sanitizer. The food and service in the restaurant were excellent and overall I would recommend this Hotel to everybody.

Very satisfied. Mey a good friend hadn't seen in while. Only been in Gkeesons once before long time ago. Really lovely decor. Well air conditioned on a hot evening. Loved the food. Stunning and bubbly friendly young lounge girl served us which made visit even better. Not cheap but still high recommended.

Can't find a fault with our stay beautiful rooms and lovely staff. Bar and restaurant food excellent. All safety measures followed. Our room with a separate bath in the room was particularly impressive

The center of Dublin can be easily reached with the dart track. Choose the day return ticket for approx. 5 at the "Tara St" machine and you are already on the right side of the tracks.
There are enough parking spaces in the hotel for rental cars. Very polite and helpful staff. The room (number 105) was extra class. Food and drinks not quite as cheap as in the village pub, but everything is OK. Check-in and check-out times are ideal for departure and arrival.

I thought long and hard about leaving this review, but only because I m afraid too many people will discover this wonderful little hotel and I won t be able to get a room here again. I have to say that this hotel is FANTASTIC!! There is not one complaint I have about it. The rooms are well priced, immaculate clean and nicely decorated. The showers were pristine and the water pressure was great. The room was large and I could control the temperature (I like it very cool when I go to sleep). The restaurant was adorable and the food there was delicious. To top it all off, this Hotel had the nicest, most accommodating staff that I have ever encountered in Ireland. And that says a lot because I find Irish people to be absolutely delightful.

Anyway, the bottom line is that the Gleason has one of the best little boutique hotels in Dublin. I can t imagine anybody regretting staying here. I think it will be my go-to Dublin hotel from here on out. I would give them more stars if I could!!!

The food was great, we ordered the crab fish starter and the gleesons smoked fish as a starter. Both were great but the smoked fish was boiling hot and I wasn t warned beforehand and I burnt my mouth quite badly. The mains were great but the waitress seemed overworked and got my order wrong and had to bring another.

The barman was also INCREDIBLY rude to me and demanded I wear a mask when walking to the bathroom. I asked the waitress about the bathroom before going and she mentioned nothing about this bizarre rule. I ve never had to wear a mask in a restaurant whilst in Dublin. When I told him that I hadn t been informed about this, he was even MORE hostile and said there were signs(?? Signs that I never saw). If it s of that much importance-tell your staff to inform people so we re not yelled at in front of other eating customers. It was humiliating and very unnecessary. Would come again for the food but wear a mask when you need to go to the loo, otherwise you might get publicly harangued!

As someone who has waited over an hour to buy Justin Bieber tickets, I feel like THIS has been the most useless hour of my life, chased a waitress to get served, had to return the wrong food when it arrived, waited 40 more minutes for the correct food to arrive (which was more grease than fish but I was so hungry I ate it and now I feel like puking) 3 more minutes for the knife and fork, I haven't even broached my need for pepper... In fact, the only good thing about this lunch time has been the relatively good wifi signal, which I have used to write this review.... THANKS GUYS
Also my parking is overrun because of the wait (who knew 70 minutes wouldn't be enough for lunch) so can't wait to deal with that now! Fan-Effin-tastic

It was perfect, but I do not put 5 stars because I was taken from my entire stay 2 days before and not the first night as I had been told ...
There is everything you need in the room (hair dryer etc ...) nice staff. There is the train / tram which passes nearby As the hotel is 1 hour 20 minutes from the city center on foot.

There are good reasons why this bar, restuarant and cefe wins awards. High quality mixed with local pub atmosphere. Food always served after attentive order taking, always presented well, tastes good.

This is a very comfortable place. I always leave here knowing the visit was a good choice.

Great elegant pub, lovely restaurant with some Irish classics and a few more exotic choices, and also a food and wine shop selling fresh bread, cured meats, cheeses, hot meals and plenty of choice of good wines, beers and spirits.

A great safe place to stay during Covid times. Wonderful and helpful staff.
I had probably the best bowl of porridge ever. We had our dinner there as well. Very tasty, could say perfect. Actually planning another night already.
I only live three miles away, so a pleasant surprise .
