This park is great :) a nice get away area from the stresses of city life it offers the freedom to move and its also great for dog walking. My only irk is alot of it is just grass, I mean a little patch of flowers or something different would be lovely :)

It's a good place to visit. Especially on a colder day in Glasgow. The green house keeps it nice and warm the museum is pretty interesting too. It's not far from the clyde river walkway. It's a nice walk on a good day.

The name Glasgow derives from the Gaelic "The beloved Green Place", and the lovely green town can be seen all over the city, but perhaps best here, in Glasgow Green - a magnificent green area around the Victorian "People's Palace ", the" Palace of the People "with the terracotta fountain in front of it. The best and most beautiful view of Glasgow green is from the rooftop terrace of Peoples Palace - with its expansive green spaces, obelisk and playground. Access to the rooftop terrace at Peoples Palace is free, and guests can use an elevator the last steps you have to walk to the platform, the view is worth it!

I was at Glasgow Green for the annual Pedal For Scotland Glasgow to Edinburgh cycle, as were thousands of other cyclists.
This was the very last one, and I'm sure everyone will miss it.
We were given a great send off and piped on our way by the gent in the photo.
A great day, made all the more special
by the send off from " The Green."

World Pipe Band Championships 2018. Wow. You won't get this kind of experience anywhere else in the world. Packed with drummers and pipers from around the world, including: Canada, New Zealand, Ireland and even Oman.
Very impressive, and to enter into a 'world' where every which way you turn there's groups warming up and practicing.
There were even Highland Dance championships.
If you're ever in town when this on, highly recommended. You can come and go as you please, just make sure you get a pass out stamp on your hand. Enjoy

Glasgow Green is Glasgows oldest park, its best? Personally I don't think so, but with some really good features, including The People's Palace and Mclennans Arch and an excellent walk along the Clyde. The Green is used a lot in the summer months as an outdoor location for concert events with great success as it's so easy to get to, the only drawback is this closes large areas of the park to the public. Certainly worth a visit is Peoples Palace.

Ok when busy in daytime but I'd be wary of being there at other times. I've never before seen signs that indicate "safer routes". Several police cars present and restricted areas due to a recent incident.

Very nice park to walk around in, there is a botanical garden (it wasn't open when i was there). It looked like that in the park a lot of pokemon go was being played, so maybe a tip if you like that too? Next to the park stands a brewery, you can definitely smell that, but we didn't mind, we actually had a laugh about it. Overall I think it is a nice park and I predict that it is even nicer in the summer (I went in February).

I was brought up beside here and it's a park that has lots of memories for me and my family and kids, plus I now cycle through it, jog around it and sometimes walk through it and there's usually something on there at different times of the year. One of the few parks in Glasgow that has been modernised and is looked after, which I can't say fir most of the other parks in the city.
