Glasgow Green is a must visit park in Glasgow, its greenery extends for a great size towards the east edge of the city centre. It's wide and spacious, lovely in the sun. The People's Palace, the fountain and the Templeton building are beautiful sightings to visit if you're walking around the park.

Extensive green space close to city centre. Leads down to lovely part of River Clyde where rowing clubs practice. Home to People's Palace and Winter Gardens. Adjacent to magnificent Templeton's building that houses a brewery (West)

Big and calm Park, room to either play with your dogs or football with your mates, but could use some sort of ice cream shop or coffee somewhere in the middle other than the peoples palace.

Fantastic facility with two synthetic water courses of the first category with a main field (Pitch 1) with covered grandstands, bar, TV area, press area, bar, facilities and a second adjacent field (Pitch 2). Lots of locker rooms to accommodate more teams, two locker rooms for the Referees, reception area and everything you need for a location that hosts international events. Congratulations to the Scottish HOCKEY Federation.

Large green space, perfect for bikes and walking as the paths are so wide. Great for a sunny say to sit on the grass, there is also exercise equipment available. Lots of dogs running around and a massive play park for kids. I love to go here and relax or for a bike ride.

These are actually photos of Templeton on the Green, The Doulton Fountain and The People's Palace which are all next to Glasgow Green. Templeton on the Green was designed by William Leiper, after plans previously submitted by James Templeton were rejected by Glasgow Corporation. The plans were so grand, based on The Doge's Palace, that they could not be rejected.

Great

Lovely park with typical Glaswigan buildings.

Lovely park with typical Glaswigan buildings.
A particularly comfortable large park with the People's Palace is the Glasgow City Museum. There is also a particularly beautiful red building, which seems to be a winery.
