I expected it to be busy and a decent wait time to eat. But they had me and my family wait 1 hour and a half to even get seated while people who were barely coming in were getting seats. Asked the 2 front girls and they said they had called us, when they never did. Those girls should get fired, very unprofessional. Now, once seated, they took another hour to give us our pizza even though we had pre ordered so it could be ready and that was because we asked where our order was. Customers who came after us were given their orders before us. Definitely not professional. Wouldn t recommend.

Sinful and delightful, Giordano's pizza is a must go to if you visit Chicago for a food trip. Just note that it takes 45 minutes to serve the deep dish pizza and 30 minutes to serve thin crust pizza. Their appetizer sampler is great to have while waiting for the main meal.

Amazing pizza, I never had deep dish before but there was so much damn pizza, and mozzarella cheese. Definitely worth the wait. If you need a quick bite you ll have too wait about an hour, so not quite a good place if you re super hungry, but if yo I want too fill up. This is definitely the place.

Waited 45 minutes despite dozens of tables being open. Weren't allowed to sit at the "bar" with my 12 month old to drink water. No chairs to sit in while waiting. High chair was filthy and waitress was annoyed when I asked if she could clean it off. Food was it's though!

We loved it. We would go back.

It was a little loud because of some customers.
Fan above us was a bit too much "wind". But not enough to complain about.

The food was super. Salad was great. Parmesan french fries were great and plenty to share.
The deep dish pizza was perfect.
We tried the cannolis and loved them.

It's a good local chain, their deep dish pizza is pretty decent. It does take time to make, so you may want to order an app while you wait. It's kinda like a less obnoxious TGI Fridays. A good place to catch your fave local teams.

Very disappointing. Our guest from Sweden wanted real Chicago deep pan pizza. Perhaps what we got was real but it was neither tasty nor equal to the hype. The bottom crust was thin, soggy and next to flavorless. Our guest speculated it had been frozen and indeed, I have had frozen pizzas with the same limp, wet texture. The toppings were undercooked and likewise with little flavor. The service matched the pizza We told the waiter we were hoping to make a train. He said he would be quick. Instead "Edgar" took an lengthy order from the table to us, all the time with our bill in his hind pocket. The only reason I could see that we got such lousy service was that the people at the next table were Latino like the waiter and we were not. Or perhaps the waiter was just poor. Either way, poor food, poor service.

I came here on a Saturday evening with my girlfriend. We got in and were sat within 15 minutes. We ordered before we sat because deep dish takes 45 minutes to an hour, so plan accordingly.

The pizza was incredible. Every single bite was just as good as the one before it. We couldn t stop ourselves from saying how good it was. I ended eating too much because I couldn t stop myself until it was all gone.

Price-wise, I don t know if you re going to get a better deal in the city. You can realistically feed three people a great meal for $25. We ate the pizza between the two of us, but I was more than satisfied through two slices.

If you re in the area and looking for some pizza, Giordano s is the way to go.

I was part of a large group of about 60 that all ate at the same time. My only complaint was that some of the dishes were don't when brought to us. The food was excellent, so overall it was a good meal.

I have yet to try the pizza we re still waiting but I can say that the air-conditioning in this restaurant is painfully cold. I asked the hostess there was anything they could do to make the restaurant even a little bit warmer and she immediately said no, indicating they ve been asked this question before. When you have to wait 45 minutes for pizza in freezing cold air, it s no longer fun. My niece and I are taking turns going outside to wait, where it s actually a reasonable temperature. The hostess said it was a state regulation that restaurants be kept this cold, which is a bunch of b.s. Will never be back.

I used to love this pizza growing up but it has lost its luster! They put what seems like hamburger patties on your pizza which makes it less appealing. I do however still enjoy the stuffed spinach.

I ordered their lunch special which was roughly $8. It was definitely worth the price. I received a plate full of fries and a very filling 6" personal deep dish cheese pizza. The staff was also kind and helpful.

Great place, great True to it's reputation of having the best deep-dish in the world. It does take some time for the pizza to be made though. So plan ahead. Best part is the cheese pull

I would give it a zero if I could. Rudest hostess ever, Linda or Lena. We went there around 3:30 after visiting skydeck with my friends, so there were plenty of empty tables. For 5 of us, she gave us a table for 4. We had three little kids and when we asked for a bigger table, she asked us to go back to the front of the restaurant. And we did. Then she said it s gonna be another hour. She also complained to other people in front of us that we didn t want the small table. 3:30 in the afternoon and there were plenty of tables with no line! I tried to tell her that we will take any bigger table, but she pretended she didn t hear me. I don t know what went wrong, but that incident shouldn t have happened. The manager gave us a table for 6 right away and offered a free appetizer, but we felt so bad we didn t want to dine there any more. I had been to a few Giordano s, including this one. But this would be the last time. There are plenty Giordano s, go to a different branch. Or go to another pizzeria, like Lou Malnati s.

The pizza tasted phenomenal. There was the unique style of having the sauce above the cheese that made all the difference. Every aspect of the pizza was delicious, especially the sauce. The atmosphere was also very good. It was a bit pricey but if you do anything in Chicago, eat here. It 's delicious.

This was a good location, the food was fresh and delicious, restaurant was clean, and service was attentive. There will always be a wait at Giordano's but we did OK on a Friday night (on the late side). Plan ahead if you are ordering deep dish, so you don't get too hungry- they are not exaggerating when they tell you it needs a long time to bake (45-50 mins?).

2 hour wait...they told us the kitchen was a little backed up . A little backed up should not mean an extra hour...great service at the bar, terrible service otherwise. Extremely disappointed. Not coming back ever again

Honestly I don't see what all the fuss is about. The pizza is ok, this was my first time eating deep dish pizza but I thought it was over completed.

There wasn't that simple cheese, crust, and sauce combo that really brings out the flavor in your standard Italian pizza.
The parmesan was overpowering and didn't compliment the sauce. The crust was trying to hard to taste like it was separate from the pizza, and the main cheese was nothing to brag about.

It was ok but honestly I wouldn't be excited to return.
Try a well known kosher pizza place. That's where it's at, imo.

There is a bathroom here that they may let you use if you ask nicely. There is a McDonald's right next door as well.

We Never had a deep dish pizza before. Was told this place was great. Got there on a Saturday night at 6 PM. 45 minute wait. Was told to place our pizza order at the counter. Ordered a 9 inch pepperoni. I was pumped. If this place is this busy, it's got to be great. Well being from Delaware, never seen a deep dish pizza before. We had a salad, it was good. When the pizza arrived, it was different looking than what I have had before. You have a thin crust, than a layer of pepperoni, than a quarter of an inch of cheese, than the sauce. You got enough pepperoni on it, the cheese didn't penetrate to the crust. The pepperoni just barely got warm. Not very tasty. We didn't eat the whole pizza. I guess I like my pizza made this way - crust, Sauce, cheese, then pepperoni. Is all Deep Dish Pizza made this way ?

I traveled to Chicago for a vacation. I was told that Giordano's was "the place" if you want stuffed, deep dish pizza. So We went there to get a pizza for my friend, but not myself because I am gluten free. Well knock me over with a feather- they had a gluten free pizza available too. !!
And I got it! - now keep in mind that literally NO gluten free pizza crust is really that great - This is pretty good ... AND they made it with their yummy sauce and plenty of toppings! This pizza really made my vacation better! Thank you to them! Awesomesauce !

The pizza was everything you want deep dish Chicago pizza to be : fresh, homely, melt in your mouth and heavy.
But I'm still not sure that the 35-45 min wait was worth it.
So my advice go early, get a starter and mentally prepare yourself for the wait.

Awesome place to go and just hang out. Pizza does take 45mins to make but it's worth the wait. For those who think deep dish means a lot of bread you are sadly mistaken. But you will leave full because the slices just have so much of the toppings and cheese.

Great Deep Dish pizza, easy to get to from hotels near the airport. If you don't plan on going the whole way into the city, stopping here for Chicago style pizza is convenient, the food is delicious, and it has a nostalgic old timey atmosphere.

This restaurant has terrible service and food. Though this place s Chicago style pizza may be famous and so called delicious, the food is bland and under baked. Expect an inconvenient 50+ minute wait for an appalling pizza and bitter salad. Many people in the restaurant at the time we had gone also had to wait for a ridiculous amount of time.
