The new ticket system is TERRIBLE!!! All the tickets are on a card no more paper tickets! Such a pain to find a kiosk to find out how many tickets! And how do 2 or more kids go on different rides with one card. Just a terrible pain for life long customers. Also, 5 rides were closed all week. They were all the big rides too! Just an awful experience. Keep walking to Playland were rides are more affordable, easier to ride and actually OPEN!!

We haven't been to ocnj in years. The kids had a great time on the rides and there were things for my 3 and 7 year old to do. The rides are fairly expensive and you have to use like an arcade type card to use the rides...wish there were some different affordable options, but the kids had a great time.

Took my nine grandchildren for wristband Friday. Spent $300 on wristbands and about 6 or 7 large rides were down and did not come back up. They blamed a few of them being down because of Gov. Murphy. Why was this not posted on the website? This day is a tradition for us and we were very disappointed. Also the ride attendants to not make sure your child is buckled in. Heads up... Make sure rides are up and running before you go.

It'd been over 20 years since I was here. I remembered some of the rides from when I was a kid, and regained a few somewhat foggy memories.. I assume parents feel this same weird nostalgia as well when they share their past with their kids. Gillian's is still here -- just as annoyingly wonderful and somewhat overpriced as it's always been, along with randomly closed rides and super friendly staff. Get a custard cone with jimmies, sit down on the bench, and watch kids laugh and cry on the different rides, or watch your friends have some moments with their kids, and maybe take a picture to remember it. There's a cool 'we'll spend 50 bucks and 3 hours here but the kids will never forget it' vibe while you look at how badly the place needs to be painted and how many facades cover up the reality of how blatantly cheap and yet wildly profitable this place really is. Jersey Shore, yo.

Gillian's hasn't changed at all in over 2 decades, and for that, quite frankly, I'm thankful. If I ever have kids it'll be a right of passage to get them on that damn Ferris wheel without them bursting into tears.

I've been going here with the family for many, many years now. And after all these years, there has been a lot of change. Given it isn't as popular as Six Flags Great Adventure, the lines aren't very long which is nice. Being right along the beach on the boardwalk, there are many places to eat nearby. The rides aren't, of course, as good as Six Flags, but they are still fun for many ages. The only major issue is the tickets and prices. The tickets themselves aren't that expensive but once you realize that some rides take like six tickets, it's not very cost effective. It is definitely better than it's competition, Playland's Castaway Cove, for cost but the rides here are also for the younger ages. Overall, if your in the area and you have kids from the ages anywhere between 2 and 13 inclusive, this place is highly recommended. Anywhere from the ages 7 and 16+ inclusive, I would recommend Playland's Castaway Cove instead.

THIS PLACE IS CRAP!!!!!

THIS PLACE IS CRAP!!!!!

Ride attendants don't check to see if your kids are secure. One guy left the cover off of his controls, and the keys in the slot. My 2 kids (6 and 2) blew through 100 I'm less then an hour. And that's at a very lieserly pace.

Don't waste your money....the pier that's south of this one is much better and worth the little bit more money

Me my son and friends and family love coming here all of our generations. But on the other hand it's overpriced tickets and then the other Beach tickets to get on the right is ridiculous

My parents brought me here as a child, now I'm bringing my children. Not a very big park, but they have enough for all ages to enjoy an evening out. There's a good amount of parking available within a few block radius (all paid parking of course), however if you're going on a mid-summer Friday or Saturday evening unless you arrive early evening finding a spot to park could be tough. Snack, small food items, beverages and ice cream are available on site. There are restrooms in a bath house outside the small north entrance. Most rides are 4 to 6 tickets, and they go quickly. Classic place for family summer memories at the shore.

Gillians is very disappointing. We have been taking our grandchildren there for 26 years. It was always the highlight of their visits. Pop pop took the boys on Thomas it was a must, the Merry go round was anothe must. But, the really big treat was the Ferris Wheel. We all had to ride that and pop pop would point out all the sites of Ocean City. Well this year the youngest grandsons 15 & 12 plus their mom came in June & last week. No Ferris Wheel ( for 2 years), no Pirate Ship under renovation, the rides for older kids r 6 tickets, the kiddie rides r 3 tickets. What is going on are they closing. Not enough rides for older kids. The 12 yr old asked if we couldn't walk down to Cast away cove. It was a very disappointing & expensive visit to Gillians.

Great atmosphere. Hard to beat a beautiful night on the boardwalk with a nice ocean breeze. Nice collection of rides. Great place for young kids, lines are never too long. Ride tickets are $1 a ticket (small discount available if you spend a significant amount of money). You can go through money in a hurry if your children like to ride. I've heard rumors they offer half price ticket days in the off-season. If you are ambitious and feel like driving there or know a local, you can load up on half price tickets and use them in the summer. The tickets never expire.

This place is so cute! Old fashioned rides that will make anyone born before 1990 nostalgic, alongside newer flashier rides. It was nice going in the evening until closing, minimal people and no lines for anything. My 2 year old and 7 year old loved it.

OK place to take the kids in the evening. A wide variance of rides for all ages. Not sure when the transition was made to go to a swipe card system but glad it has been implemented and bunches of physical tickets no longer have to be be carried around. Note that with smaller children, if they can't ride alone and an adult has to accompany them it will cost twice the number of tickets - this is the only place I recall with this policy.

It was a pretty fun evening for the family although I did think it ended up being a bit pricey and some of the rides seemed like they've been there for ages. I will say overall it's an okay place to spend an hour or two if you have younger children and they need something to do other than the beach
