These have to be the nicest people I've met in Tahoe. Came about a month ago with my boyfriend and daughter. We had the best brunch! The food was great but the staff were exceptional.

The best meal we have had since visiting Lake Tahoe. The deluxe Eggs Benedict with the home fries was absolutely delicious. Very attentive service. Highly recommend!

Very happy with my experience here yesterday. Young Lady was very nice and treated us well. We sat outside (put jackets on the chairs first) theyve got a little heater as well and an impeccably fresh and beautiful view. Food was simple, fresh, delicious. 0 complaints!

I can't say enough good things about this place! The owner and staff are so kind, friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. And don't even get me started on the food.. the best breakfast we've had in a long time. We had fresh, homemade, corned beef hash, fancy, decadent french toast, and an incredible Mexican Chorizo omelette... everything was fresh, made with love, and delicious. The Getaway Cafe is a MUST. I am already excitedly looking forward to my next visit.

Heard great things about The Getaway Cafe so drove down from North Lake to check it out. Well worth the snowy drive! Highly recommend. The women working were friendly, energetic, and fun. Ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich with tomato bisque soup and the blood orange mimosa. All were delicious. Can t wait to return!

We had the maple bacon glazed french toast and an omelet. Both delicious and a ton of food. Very small inside so plan ahead of you're coming at a busy meal time.

Service and staff are amazing
Owner even came to sit us down. With a party of 9 I could see issues with service and there was none. everything was amazing... I order chicken wraps everywhere and in my 37 years of life this is by far the best, blacked chicken wrap.

Def worth the wait and they have gained my busness for life....

Always a great breakfast spot, I've been coming here for years. Now that the powers that be have opened up indoor dining in CA, I will be coming here more often. Conveniently located in Myers CA, just down the road from South Lake Tahoe. There is an agriculture stop close to the restaurant and that is an easy landmark. Great omelets, French toast, pancakes, and everything you would expect from a great breakfast spot.

Awesome food. Great team. Vibrant place. Everything we ate was fab. Absolutely must visit breakfast place in Tahoe. Will surely visit again. Fortunately we did not have to wait to get seated even on Sat morning. But when we stepped out there was huge line.

The coconut crusted French Toast (with bananas) did not disappoint. Be aware, I got three breakfasts out of one order!
