Incredible selection of fish.. My only issue is the price of fish here is a bit high.. you pay for quality here.. everyone in here is very cordial and very knowledgeable..

What an amazing surprise... This place is in a non-assuming building in Moraine, but as soon as you walk in you see the amazing fish and you know you're in the right place. Wonderfully knowledgeable and friendly staff. Freshwater, salt water, rays, live rock, driftwood, etc. The us so much to see. Take time to wander and discover!

Got some fish and they had ick treated my tank and it was to late lost a lot of fish I will never get fish there again. They don't deserve 1 star

Amazing fish store. It's almost like going to an aquarium without having to pay for admission! The kids love it, their fish are healthier, AND usually always cheaper!!

Ok- I m not moved to post review often, but I feel I must. This place is looking great! I am almost 50 and I ve been in to Tropical fish since I was 8. I ve been to shops all around the Midwest and to many wholesale auctions over the years. I haven t been to Gerber s in quite a while. I ve always known and respected it as hardcore, but generally, I make the trip to Columbus when I m looking for stock in the 7 or so tanks that me and my family keep. When we walked in today, the first thing we noticed is that they ve expanded and you actually walk in thru a different door as there used to be. The fish inventory, selection and water quality were absolutely top notch. The Associate who helped us was super and I could tell everyone else who worked there also seemed engaged and informed- wanting to help and loving what they do. Lastly, I have to re-mention the water quality. They ve upgraded their already impressive, home made filtration system and it was in top form. You could really tell.

Great job!

If you haven t been to Gerber s in a while- go. You ll be delighted.

Best aquarium store I've been to, lots of fish, fresh and salt... Light on supplies... Some fish I've not seen anywhere except at wholesalers..

Really good selection of marine fish, and decent selection of coral starters. A little pricey, but good quality.

The store is amazing you may pay a little more, but you do get what you pay for. The selection is the best around. Most of the employees are pleasant but a few are rude or just unfriendly. I would highly recommend this place the good outweighs the bad.

What an amazing selection of saltwater and freshwater fish, I have never seen this many different species in one store.

They have a lot of fish and supplies for fish. Best place to get tropical fish in the Dayton area. The staff know a lot about fish.

Beautiful selection of healthy fish, plants and coral. Best selection for anything aquarium related. Friendly, knowledge staff that doesn't mind answering questions and helping out AND, possibly more important, they aren't arrogant and if you let them know that something is incorrect, they will look into whatever it may be, and not just assume that they "must" be correct.
I only wish the store were bigger, but then I would probably never leave:)

Extremely over priced and I have bought 3 fish from here and all 3 had the ich wouldn't waist my money at this place employee's don't even know the names of saltwater fish. You tell them what kind of fish you want and their response is I dont know what that is you have to to show me

Nice people but this place is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!! I shop around for deals and found that some of their fish prices are double compared to other places.

Love this fish shop!! If you have an aquarium and want to take it to the next level, this is the place. They have separate rooms for fresh and saltwater. Isles and isles of underwater creatures! Of all the fish stores I have been in,this is by far the cleanest, and has more to choose from in fish and tank decor. And, it's a cool place to just go look at all the different marine life. Take the kids! This visit I bought 2 glo tetras . It's been a cpl weeks and they have settled in just fine. Love my tank! Next trip I think I'll be adding a few more glo plants for my tetras. At night, with the led on, my tank is amazing! Crazy to think this started with 2 tiny goldfish from the county fair over 10 years ago! Those are the 2 biggest fish in my tank!

Bought 4 clown loaches today buy one get one free 16.99 to add to my existing 4 loaches as soon as I let them out of the bag they we're more friendly and had more color then the current clownloaches after a 2 hour drive

Largest selection in this area, more tanks and more fish than you can imagine. Nice people too.

This little bit out of the way unassuming place until you walk through the door and you enter a fully stocked aquarium where you not only get too look but you can buy what you see! Massive floor to ceiling filter tubes when you walk in to remind you that you are not in your average fish store. Saltwater when you enter and freshwater the other side. Huge selection with very knowledgeable and attentive staff. This is not your mall run fish store so be prepared for a little more expense, your shoe bottoms to be a little wet, the tang of fish smell and narrow busy isles. Its built for fish and humans are allowed in.

I got out of the hobby a few years ago, but im back and soo happy this place is still open!! Yes its a little rough around the edges, and its not like your big name pet stores.. but unlike those stores Gerber's has very knowledgeable employees and a huge selection. I have never had a problem coming here, and tell everyone about it.
Its not the store for little Jimmy to get a $1 gold fish to flush next week. Enjoy the hobby, respect the fish!

Been shopping there for some time, The prices are all a bit on the high side but they do take trays.
Now the fish,There is lots and of size. And the fish i have gotten from them are all still alive.
There is mostly kids working there but they know there stuff.
Jack pets please they lost there edge. I only buy plants from them.

This is the place to go for fish knowledge, products, and amazing fresh/salt water fish! We are thrilled to have found such a great locally owned fish store.

Went in the shop to buy a pair of clowns for my tank and I was impressed all the way around. The sales associate showed me multiple types of clown pairs before I found one I loved. They even fed them all for me to ensure they were healthy. I will be back!

I ve been going there for a while now. The only reason why is that they have fish you don t see in normal pet stores. That isn t the case anymore. There selection is bleak, the customer service is terrible and they have no sort of garuntee. You have to try to find someone to help you and when you do they act like it s not their job and your a nuisance. It used to be a great place but not so much anymore. Their prices are far from reasonable. And their fish are not healthy so be sure to quarantine before adding to your tank.

Way over priced in corals, and most fish. The staff will tell customers anything to make a sale. I just witnessed an employee lie to an elderly lady about he reef tank to get her to buy. Ok never recommend anyone go here, buyer beware.

This store is cool... Wish it was closer to Mansfield because I would use them for my aquarium live stock... Little pricey but really healthy looking fish I went down to check out some Discus

An amazing selection of both fresh and salt water fish. Very knowledgeable staff. It's an hour plus drive for me, but I would gladly make the trip instead of buying online somewhere else.

Huge variety of fish, but dead fish being eaten by nats (or something similar), in some of the tanks. They just blew off the dead fish and bugs and did nothing, when we told the staff about it. The whole place smelled pretty bad too.

Great place, huge selection...but having issues with employee knowledge on coral. Need to make sure they are selling the proper coral for the environment they will be living in. Overall still satisfied and will return.

Just got off the phone with these guys and not happy. Call stared out good but when I asked if I could get a photos of a certain fish texted over to me I was told straight up "No I'm to busy". "Facebook me and maybe after hours". What happen to customer service? It's no wonder everyone buys online, so they don't have to deal with people.
