Amazing assortment of different species of tropical and freshwater fish staff is knowledgeable friendly

The store is always busy, but the staff is still very cordial and helpful. If the store wasn t busy...why would you even bother shopping for fish at Gerber s?? The staff knows their business, especially Paul! Every question I threw at Paul he was able to answer, that s the knowledge needed to run a successful business! Thanks Y all!!

Big store with lots of stock. As everyone else says, everything at this store is overpriced. If they were competitively priced, I would have left 4.5 stars if I could. The staff I've dealt with were very helpful and spent time with me as I am a new "reefer" (still trying to get used to this label).

In any event, I hope they are listening to the hobbyists out there. I understand there is a cost to running a business so perhaps it's the business model? Other locations seem to be doing fine with good pricing. My 2 cents.

It was awesome didnt no it existed and then I went thede and was shocked of the fish they had and employees was very helpful and polite will start getting my fish there from now on and fidh we as very healthy looking would recommend it to my friends and ithrt people

My family was just in the store looking at all of the beautiful fish for 30 min. We have 2 fish tanks ready to buy for but not 1 staff member asked if they could help us. Very poor customer service.

BEWARE!! Alot of the fish arnt healthy. I bought a fish yesterday looked in decent health I brought him home acclimated him for 2 hours and by the next day he was dead. My water parameters are great and is a community tank that's been up for 2 years. Some of the staff doesn't seem to know very much about the fish. Will not be returning after I get a refund for the fish. Go to corals galore in fairborn. Way better staff and way better fish

Great place to have multiple options of cheaper fish. But not the greatest to buy any. We have bought 4 clown fish and a blue tang... All have gotten sick and died. We had them in a tank by themselves so they wouldn't infect other fish, just in case. The first set of clown fish had the clown fish disease, and the second set was already sick prior to. The blue tang had slime on it and ended up dying. So we will no longer be buying fish from here. Especially when there is no refund to anything or any kind of deals of any sort. Because they have too many fish but dont keep them well.

This store has a ton of fish. They've got all kinds of rare abs hard to find species as well, and the staff seem to be pretty knowledgeable and willing to help when you have questions.

Very pleasant and surprisingly good 7 of the 10 neon tetra's I bought died over night after I got them in my tank at home that had been set up for a month and running before I had put anything inside of it.

Fantastic selection of rare & unique Fish on an industrial scale. My only complaint there was a fair amount of sick/dead Fish while considerably more expensive than most shops in the area.

I love visiting browsing and purchase all of my fish and supplies from Gerber's I highly recommend them

My son and I drive 50 minutes one way every 2 weeks to buy feeder fish and other things, we have been doing this for the past 5 years, wouldn't go anywhere else, the quality of fish here is excellent so is the service from the staff

I've not been here for years but the experience of my previous visit was so memorable and impressive that I just had to be sure to share it in a positive review. Years ago (though I won't specify exactly when, lol), I was attending the Animal Care course at MVCTC when our class visited for a short tour and to order a large variety of tropical fish for our classroom project (each student had designed & setup their own 10-gallon tank & were ready to add fish). Speaking for myself, I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. I learned a lot just from the short time we were there. I have to say, the best part of the trip for me was when I got to pick out the fish for my tank. (I had hot pink gravel, fake plants & a human skull figurine as my decorations, so being 15-years old, I just had to put Angel fish in my tank!) I plan on setting up an aquarium in my home in the next couple of months, so I'm glad to be reminded of this place. I look forward to visiting again soon.

Alligator gar wish I could post progress pics,great customer service from them lil understaffed... with that ladies always cleaning tanks.. free water testing but needs a reward program like any lps.. and to switch weekly sales,bogos,etc. Lol hire me for a part time I love the place.

We drove down from Columbus Ohio to check out Gerber's tropical fish store and it was definitely worth the drive. We interacted with Paul, Kyle and John who were all excellent! We browsed through the whole store and had our questions answered before our final purchase. Everyone is knowledgeable and personable! We will definitely be going again !

Friendly staff and the owner, John, is very helpful and works diligently to make sure that he provides quality livestock. It is apparent that him and his staff are knowledgeable and willing to help in any way possible.

The fish I get from here are always so healthy, and the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. Tons of variety and cool fish, fun to walk around even if you don't keep fish!

So I go here all the time It is something that I have kind of been forced to do other than my other LFS which is aquatics . Very limited to both stores unless I want to drive more than a couple of hours. Very poor upkeep on tanks and cloudiness from ammonia spikes is a very common thing. Overpriced and very poor customer services every time I come here I expect to wait at least an hour even when you do find assistance currently I have been standing here and three employees have walked by It is a station where they package fish so I knew I'd catch an employee and none of the three employees have offered help. Basically only coming here because I am forced to but overall would not recommend unless you have to get a certain fish today that they say they have but good luck getting through on the phone most of the time the employees don't know either way.

great staff, very friendly and knowledgeable. the staff is extremely helpful and honest about the animals for your aquarium. they wont just sell you a fish to make a buck. they will let you know if its not reef safe even if it means not making the sale.

Just stopped by Gerber's last week and I was impressed this visit. I haven't been here in awhile so it was nice to see improvements. The entire freshwater section has been renovated with nicer tanks and lighting. I ended up picking out 2 Flame Scallops because they were running a buy one get one free for $14.99. I will be back for sure!

Dont try to sell anything to them. They left me sitting in my truck for almost a half hour, then offered me 8 dollars for a 50 gallon fish tank!! Wow

first time in there, I walked out spending 300 bucks. This place is awesome, I cant believe I never heard of it. The employees seem super knowledgeable, caring, and informative. Alexis helped us out, she was amazing. If you need ANYTHING fish related, I definitely suggest this place.
