It's so delicious, but I do not want to come home and buy one, and the cupcake I eat on the spot is delicious.

We had 4 different cupcakes and they were all delicious. The specialty stuff you can't get elsewhere was great!
I didn t like the cream and the cupcakes was normal nothing special , for me I will not come back again
Good afternoon,
I pre-ordered cupcakes last week for a friend. When I arrived to pick up my order, even though it had been confirmed the salesclerk could not locate it. She said she would fill my request
There were a dozen cupcakes, some of them were dry and some of them were to hard to eat including the icing. The friend I ordered for has previously raved about Georgetown Cupcakes, but this time was disappointing to say the least. As you can imagine, I am extremely disappointed; despite the expense the cupcakes had to be thrown away.
Signed,
Damion Johnson
Great cupcakes, and yes the red velvet is still a must! After all the years that have gone by since their reality TV show, this shop still demands a lineup outside. Depending on the time of day, expect the lineup to be quite long. Glad to see a business still so popular long after their TV show has ended. Well done.
Overrated. $5 for a very small cupcake. It tasted good but it wasn't anything mind blowing.
Next to my cake lady back home this place is killer great cupcakes
Ridiculously crowded. Why they only have one person taking orders and three people standing around to fill boxes up is beyond common sense.
They are indeed good cupcakes and yes they are overpriced.
I ordered a variety. The chocolate cupcakes were so bad that no one ate them. Those who did try them had to spit out the bite. It tasted very bad. The smell was unbelievable . The velvet ones were okay. Over hyped and overpriced. Getting a nice dinner for the same price and same calories now seems like a better idea.
Great cupcakes! It is worth the wait... btw even though the line may look long, it is because there is not much room to stand inside the store.
Good cupcakes, didn't get what the big deal was though. Line too long
Didn't know until we placed our order that we couldn't use our gift card. Would have been nice to know before as it would have made a difference in the amount we ordered. A sign on the door would have been nice. The equipment needed was not working. Cupcakes were delicious though.
Cupcakes are good, but in the end they were just cupcakes. Not worth the hype.
Way too sweet topping!
Quite small and expensive cupcakes
Very good. Ate 10 cupcakes and haven t thrown up yet! Glad to haven found a great place to eat a lot and not feel the consequences later!!!!
Sooooo delicious! It was busy but the service was very fast.
To put it simply the best cupcakes I ever had. The line can get long very quick so if you don't want to be waiting outside make sure you don't go on peak hours. All said, the cupcakes are worth the waiting
The best cupcakes ... love this place!
Ppl are friendly and the service is fady .. go check it out if you are in Georgetown :)
Nice place; excellent and fast attention and the best cupcakes ever!!!!
This is what showed up for my birthday ! They didn't respond back after 3 phone calls! I would boycott them and go to Sprinkles!
Truly delicious cupcakes, the cream is very special, it melts in your mouth.
Usually there is a queue before you can enter but the girls are very quick to serve, so the wait is not infinite and is rewarded by the goodness of these treats.
The queue was not as bad as I imagine. The huge variety of cupcakes here makes it difficult to decide. I went with my favorite chocolate and peanut butter. It was good.
Steep prices, slow service, less than helpful staff.
3.50 per cupcake is pretty steep.
Icing isnt smooth, has the consistency of granulated sugar.
The girl running the register today was anything but kind, helpful, or happy to be there.
It took about 8 minutes to get the cupcakes after ordering (only ordered two).
The chocolate cake tastes super good.
I wouldn't go again, not worth the time/cost.
I got the vegan carrot cake. It was soo soggy but the icing was great!! Hopefully it will improve.
Their product is amazing (just don t settle for the standard vanilla or chocolate, try the unique stuff), but I agree that they need to be much more transparent with their online order processing and keeping track of availability. Like many others I came to pick up my order just to hear they ran out of 4/6 of the flavors I drove 10 miles to get. Thankfully I was fine with trying other flavors, but to not explicitly state this possibility at the time of order is inexcusable and misleading.
Cupcakes were okay. I LOVED the cupcakes from Sprinkles much better; they were so moist & delicious. I won't be returning to this location for my cupcakes.
Do you like cupcakes? Then why are you waiting? These cupcakes are the equivalent of fireworks on your taste buds! They are a great size and well worth the cost.
Amazing, unique cupcakes, totally worth the price and wait. It's always my "treat yo self" moment whenever I come into Georgetown. Also trying the flavors of the month is always a great way to try new things. My personal favorite was the vanilla ice cream that tasted exactly like its name.
It's just decorated beautifully and smells amazing and the cupcakes taste amazing to
Amazing cupcakes, service was quick for the number of people in line!
Really good cupcakes especially the key lime cupcake. Wait is a little long but it s all worth it.
Love this place. Always busy, which to me shows a quality product being pushed out. Had a lot of valentine themed cupcakes, had the strawberry flavor and it was good. Of course I got the classic red velvet, skyline, and a vanilla birthday cupcake for my grandmother. She enjoyed it very much.
Great cupcakes, friendly service! Super tiny and crowded though, there was a line out the door (Saturday early afternoon).
Cupcakes are great! The line looks huge, however it goes fast!
I love this place!!! :) So recommended by me and the little ones!!
Georgetown Cupcakes is the goto place for cupcakes. Try to go there in the off hours so you don't have to wait an hour in line to get what you want.
I am not big fan of sweets but I love this cupcakes especially the velvet one. It is the best.
The cup cakes are delish. There was a line but it moved very quickly.
The wife has been dying to try these, so we did. Ptetty good and the wait was not as bad as I thought it would be.
It was astonishing to be in queue for more than 30 minutes, just for a cupcake!! But it was yummy
I like your program is beautiful creative I love are very good
great cupcakes but be prepared to wait in line if you visit on a weekend. my favorite is the red velvet.
My favorite cupcake place. We visit as much as we can.
Typical American over-saturated sugary cupcakes full of artificial colors. Fun though...
Great cupcakes from the original DC cupcake creators. Lines are way too long though. Expect to wait up to an hour.
Expect to wait in line for an amazing cupcake! Staff was patient and helpful with the extreme customer demand here! Great job! Cupcakes were amazing and I will defiantly be back!
I really like Georgetown cupcakes. Granted, the long line is annoying and they can come down on the price about .50 but I think the product is good.
One of my favorites is the chocolate and peanut butter cupcake. Ooh wee! That and the red velvet are pretty darn tasty. In general, their chocolate cupcakes have been really moist anytime I've tried them and very addictive.
I've also really enjoyed the vanilla cupcake - it's nice to be able to really taste the star ingredient in this one..the vanilla!
The cupcakes are always on the mark. Awesome is the only word I can say. I order from their website every month and the packing and shipping is just awesome!!! Keep up d gud work guys!!!
The cupcake itself was good. Did not taste the coconut in the coconut caramel chocolate cupcake. The ambiance of the place leaves a lot to be desired. Staff yellin' at customers to line up by the blackboard. Geeze that sure took the fun outta that.
Cupcakes were great! They always seem to be busy though, either because the shop is too small or because they need more workers. Otherwise it was great
I always loved coming here until today, it was one minute past 9pm, I saw a couple walk in so I thought they was still letting people in. I literally walked in a few seconds after them and they told me they was closed but didn t tell them. I feel as though they were being racist, me being Hispanic and the couple being white, felt as though I was being treated different, they could ve simple told everyone who walked past 9 that they was close or just lock the doors! Never again!
This place is lovely. If you visit DC, you should stop by and grab some delicious cupcakes. Don t be discouraged by watching the long queue; it moves fast.
Got the peanut butter fudge cupcake. The frosting was amazing as well as the fudge ganache. The cake itself was dry and a bit crumbly. The size was perfect and the price was just fine, for the quality.
Service was fast, friendly and prompt.
Would visit again to try a different flavour and see if the cake was a little more moist.
Also note, far better all around than Sprinkles.
Good flavors, not worth the hype. The cake is pretty dense. If you plan to go, surely there is a pretty long line. Very limited seating.
Not worth the lines but if you can get in quick, make it happen.
They are super famous, expect to stay in line, altough they are very organized and it goes fast
Love Georgetown Cupcake, but always have to wait about 29 min to get my cupcakes.
A nostalgic place for someone who has watched their TV show when I was a kid. The cupcake was a tad bit expensive but it was great and there was a wide variety of cupcakes to choose from!
Georgetown Cupcakes has the most delicious cupcakes! The have so many flavors on the menu. My favorite is the salted caramel cupcake. It was so moist and so good. This is tourist place so be prepared to wait in line but it is totally worth the wait. I bought a half dozen with a variety of flavors. The red velvet is also really good. #Georgetown Cupcakes #TrySaltedCaramelCupcake
A DC institution. Great variety of cupcakes and yes the line moves fast so hang in there. It's worth the wait
Whenever we're "driving by" Georgetown Cupcake is a stop!!
Don't go right before closing as they run out of flavors quickly. All in all this is the 3rd best place in dc to get cupcakes but the most famous. DC natives know that sprinkles and red velvet are better options for cupcake stores in the area. The line is always long and prices are just slightly too high for the quality and service
Good cupcakes. But I could buy a real cake for the price of two cupcakes. No cupcake is that good
Yummy cupcakes, many varieties to choose, and pretty
We had them shipped to Indiana, they arrived looking great, but most of --tasting great. It was a fun touch to end the meal with tasting all the different flavors.
Crazy wait times!! I think it s way too much hype about these cupcakes.
The best place to eat cupcakes. This one cost about 3.25 dollars and all the different things that it had was delicious. It's a must to go and try this cupcakes.
Great cupcake, really POOR national shipping! I've had several orders lost and I was not notified. I call to get a tracking number but either no one answers the phone, does call back or their shipping department is closed even before 5pm eastern! Ridiculous, and I am so mad!
