Wow!! This was a very bright and new facility! Very well marked with teams playing and signs to inform you of where to go! Good parking lot. Aesthetically pleasing to the eyes! The zamboni moved along at a nice quick speed to cut down on flood times.

The place is pretty good compared to what I remember as a kid. Only thing I would do is have the water slide open during lessons. So the big kids waiting for there siblings to do there lessons wouldn't flood the kiddie pool.

Four dressing rooms for two soccer fields. Anyone who s ever played a game will tell you that doesn t add up. None of that matters though because they don t even open the rooms up! Kids are putting their gear on while sitting on whatever open space on the floor they can find. You can bet that would never happen to a hockey team. Simply aggravating.

Clean place with a lot of activities for your little ones. Instructors are devoted to keeping your little ones safe and moving. Pool is closed often because people forget to follow some very minimal rules lately. Be sure to check their facebook page if your heart is set on swimming. It's not their fault though. It's very clearly communicated ypur little ones need to have the appropriate swim gear in the swim lessons.

Love the fitness facility at Genesis. Very spacious, tons of machines & free weights alike, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. My only gripe is that I wish it were open later on the weekends.

We are annual members, we purchased our family membership at the end of 2018. My husband and I have been regular gym-goers since and we have taken the kids swimming numerous times. So far I'm impressed, the gym is well equipped, with a large variety of equipment to suit anyone's needs. It has not been so busy at any time (morning or evening) that we have had to wait for equipment. The swimming pool gets busy on the weekends and the family change rooms can become over crowded so our solution is to split up and go to the male/female accordingly and it's much better.

Clean, big and VERY BUSY. The pool was a zoo... Long lineups for the waterslides and the "lazy river" was packed with older kids hoarsing around. I guess thats the drawbacks of only having 1 rec centre in a town

A great place to take kids swimming - large main pool, a lap pool,a diving / rope swing pool, a hot pool, a shallow kids pool (good even for toddlers), lazy river and a water slide. What else can you ask for. AND, unlike a lot of other city pools - this place actually keeps the water temp in the main pools reasonably warm so you can enjoy yourself for more than 10 - 15
My only complaint would be that there are too few lockers and change rooms in the family change room area for when it's busy. On the weekends often you'll have to wait for a room to change the family. Once I was not able to get a locker in the family area. Not a big deal however unless you've got young kids who get upset waiting for a room while they are wet and cold.
The pool area is all I've ever attended here so I can't speak to the rest of the facility.

This place likes to nickel and dime people. Pool is cold, party places are on the clock, feels like they're waiting to kick you out. Big brother is constantly watching when you're in the pool. Tried to just change our kids swimming class and they refused to do so. Unfortunately is also the only facility in Airdrie so they know they can get away with poor service.

I have been living in Airdrie for 4 years now. I took my family to Genesis for the first time yesterday to go swimming. I must say we had lots of fun. I really liked the variety of swimming pools. If you have kids even small toddlers and babies they have a pool for them. The only thing I have to say that is negative is the family change rooms. They only have a small amount of lockers directly in the walking path to the pool. This gets extremely congested as you have to wait because when people are putting there belongings in the lockers with the kids you cannot get to the pool until there done and the separate change rooms are always being used, so your doing allot of waiting to get into the pool area and waiting when you want to get you stuff to change. It s not a good set up at all for the amount of families that come here. They should have went the extra mile on the family locker room.

I went swimming during the opening following COVID
There was a lifeguard that was constantly harassing us named Angela

None of the other guards seemed to have any issues including the supervisor which Angela was not one

If you are going to be involved in customer service then you need to treat people with respect, not like toddlers

I will not come back when there are people like that working here

Good

The only thing I would say stopped me from giving a 5 star is the fact that their was very little room in the family change room and not NEARLY enough lockers either. Other than that, it was top notch.

The facility itself is pretty good and fairly well maintained.

But

The guys washrooms/changeroom are always pretty disgusting, the showers in particular were nasty at times.

Also, whats with the 50$ membership cancellation fee?
