Genesis Centre Review

I am glad that I am member of Genesis centre and today at 6pm I was at genesis but surprise it was closed at 6pm and the boards shown hours 31dec.2017 9am to 8pm.

Beautiful complex, hosts many events. Has jugo juice inside with always fast service and delicious food and drink options.

Great center for sports and the gym with an amazing library

Great place for celebrating big occasion like Durga Puja. We went their for this year DURGA PUJA.

Lots of activities. YMCA membership is too expensive. Genesis membership is affordable.

Best basketball courts in the city (feature gym), 2 field houses, as well as super affordable passes. Drop-in isn't great during the winter but in the summer it's amazing availability for sports

Great place for recreational activities under one roof. From public library to basketball courts. Various activities like rock climbing, swimming, running track, gymnasium accessable 365 days.

Nice facility. Close to resturants and grocery store.

Great place especially for ppl who want to play indoor soccer. It sucks though that it`s hard to find available field to book here and its a bit pricey.

Not the greatest customer service plus someone broke in to my locker and stole my wallet and phone

Very pricey for a non-funding organization, otherwise very clean!

Overall Nice facility, indoor soccer field is poorly maintained, garbage laying around on the field as well as in the benches. Turf curled up against one side of the field exposing concrete on the opposite side, can get pretty dangerous. Evening staff can also be pretty rude around closing time.

We went to a conference here, in the big gymnasium. The staff was really organized for our conference size. Well done.

Great place for cultural activities, gym, new comer Services, sports and lot of other activities

Great multipurpose centre. Could reduce costs for kids' climbing.

Nice facility though a little out of the way for some people.

There is ymca, swimming pool, gym, play areas, library, medical, physio clinics. Lots more. Very nice place.

Great fitness facility, the only knock is it's crazy busy all the time so if you dont do well with crowds or have much patience, not the place for you!!

Great place for everyone, outdoor/indoor fields for soccer and other games. YMCA, gym, library and other activities.

Because . I take excellent program for employment and life skill program..for making change association.

Love this place, many things to do! Not expensive, monthly passes are great deal of you are low income they have amazing prices for family!

This is a huge place. There are always different cultural events & lots of activities

Good facility but too busy, would recommend going after 8 pm or very early in morning.

I was here for a Christmas Market. Great venue and awesome vendors.

too busy for badminton. they should have more badminton courts.

Very open, beneficial for all ages , best things for youth are indoor hockey & soccer arenas . One can also go to a Doctor's clinic & physiotherapy clinic too

i love it because there's a gym on top of the pool so i can take care of my kids and i can go to the gym at the same time

The Genesis is a great rec centre. I started going there for ball hockey games and the gym is pretty big. There are also 2 full sized lacross/soccer indoor fields. I also ended up getting a YMCA membership at this facility since it was close enough and the amenities it provided were everything I needed: running track, rubber weights, hot tub, and fitness classes. My only issue would be that it does get fairly busy in the evening and since it is a family facility, not everyone has proper gym etiquette so sometime people won't wipe down their equipment, will leave weights everywhere, or just go on a machine you have been using, but that's not really the facilities fault.

Very large it good facility. A map of this place might be useful because it was difficult to find where I was going within the center

Good place for kids and family. Camps events and lots of activities keep going on. Very lively place to go and enjoy.

Its a nice community centre paricularly for east indian community. There are plenty of benches and you can enjoy the crowd untill late at night (11pm)

A good place for excercise and other activities and sports very crowded on week days and weekends in quite empty.

Haven't been to the gym or pool, but have been to the facility many times and it seems crowded. Library is what I tend to use and it's full of obnoxious teens, very distracting and the staff have very little control. But cant go wrong with the printing costs at a public library

One stop for all personal activity. Sports, Library, Gem. Nice location, clean and share with lot of local transit connection.

It's close to home and they have many services there, swimming, wall climbing etc. Plus the library is located here, it's not a well stocked library, but never the less it's a library. They just finished putting in another skate park this past summer. Over all its a great place for the family.

Good staff good customer service. They have a number of options and some good passes.they have 30 day pass for 40$ a month which is very good for anyone who wants to see if this is something they want to join. Unlike gym membership signups for 1 year or 2 year.they have basketball badminton and football fields.
They need to change the paper band thing for members.they should think of other sustainable ways to identify everyone that has paid is authorized to play.As these fields are rented so to identify guests with teams and paid customers they put paper bracelets on paid users.

Please get the high school kids out of the gym, they do nothing except stand around chit chat. They hog the machines just to sit on them. Super frustrating. Otherwise great facilty and friendly staff.

They wouldnt let be buy jugo juice for no reason, it was open, but co ordinators of an event wouldnt let me buy my own lunch. Otherwise a very epic place
