The guys in the service centre are great and do a good job and the car's ok. Be careful of the free servicing line offered by Holden. If you miss the deadlines Holden policy is to cancel it.
Having said that, when this issue arose for me, City Holden Adelaide staff responded over and above to solve my problem, liaising with Holden to help out. It helped the car had only travelled 16,000 km, but City Holden Management were responsive and helpful.

Service from Ryan on the front desk at Pirie has been amazing. He is attentive, explains everything, friendly and professional. He is a real asset to City Holden. Six months ago I started taking my Holden Adventra to City Holden after being given "the run around" and ripped off by another Holden dealership. City Holden have had the car on 4 occasions to fix problems not dealt with by the previous dealership.
Ryan has been wonderful as have the service mechanics etc. Thank you Ryan and all City Holden staff.

The front of house service staff are completely in...

The front of house service staff are completely incompetent and rude. I would not recommend City Holden mile end to anyone.

When I booked my car in two weeks ago, I had already had the job quoted by Peter Page Holden and tried to provide City Holden with a copy to ensure at bare minimum they had the parts required to do that work. They simply told me to bring the paperwork in with the car to which I replied it was a large job and I wanted to ensure that I got my car back as soon as possible. After insisting with the ignorant staff member who reluctantly pretended to listen to me read out the parts required he told me it was a one day job and all the parts they had in stock.

My car went in on Thursday morning and at that point I was told that Friday afternoon the car should be good to go that it was a 2 day job. After receiving no phone call by Friday 5 I phoned them to find out what was going on with my car to which they told me Tuesday next week is likey finish time.

Flash forward to Wednesday the following week after receiving no follow-up Calls, they call me because they have completed all the work originally quoted which did come in under quote at $2,600. However, they then told me that due to the coolant leak they believed either the head gasket or head was cracked, which I had also told them I suspected two weeks before when booking it in.

I was then quoted a two-day job to remove the head, which is laughable in itself. It is now over a week since my car was dropped off and more than 2 days since they said they would remove the head and they still have not completed and inspection on the head.

City holden service department, 194 railway terrace sth, Mile end will not be recommending to anyone after two services and being disappointed both times.

#1;- touch screen dash didn't work after being in storage, drove into adelaide. They had a look said they had hard reset (terminals on battery). Told us saying the computer screen had been fried.
Took to another service centre a few weeks later and did the hard reset and told us city holden didnt even do that as per paint on terminal. Computer screen is still the original and working fine.

#2;- front grill gts badge was cracked rang up 4 months prior to service, got told all good we have one in stock.
After service being done after a few hours got a phone call, car all good to pick up however the badge we had in stock is a ve badge.

The car is all under warranty but with living away 600+ kms away from the adelaide service centre, this is not good enough.

We were dealing with Leon at the front desk, and was told with doing stocktake at Christmas time the badge must have been sent back "accidently". We told him we were not happy and we will not be returning, he didnt care lost interest and rushed us out the door.

Took my GTS for a service,
found that my spare badges in the boot were missing, as well as my 2011 GTS Magazine in the back. Completely unacceptable to find my belongs stolen every service. This needs to be resolved as it is very annoying.

First enquiry accept credit card next guy wouldn't.
Worst service I've had for any spart parts.

Experience has been very up and down here. Manager will do his best to fix situations however the fact they believe its ok to give out filthy interior loan cars with cracked windows is a huge concern. Doesn't project a good image when the loan cars are not well maintained. I was however very grateful the manager resolved this to the point of taking a demo car from the lot to replace this car but the staff who gave the damaged loan car did know it was in this condition and said it had been for some time.

Had a car service completed. A week later noticed that the oil I keep in my boot was missing it's lid (couldn't even find it in the car) and had spilt all over my boot and contents. I informed them of this and they refused to take responsibility. I suppose the lid unscrewed itself and jumped out of my car... A shame as I was originally very happy with the service.

Great customer service and they work hard for your custom. Unlike other car dealerships, they make you feel like they're doing their best to get you the best deal and work with you to get financing sorted. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

I had heard and watched a lot of very negative stories about Holden after sales service and warranty so was a bit worried as I had purchased a brand new Cruze. I have had a couple of ossues covered under warranty. All I can say is the team at City Holden in the Adelaide CDB have been excellent. All problems have been addressed promptly with zero pushback.

City Holden have very friendly and approachable staff. The salesman helped me find the car that I needed and even the mechanic explained the any issues with the best of his ability.
Look forward to my next visit.

I would give ZERO stars or even less than ZERO.

I went there as one of their customers owning a Holden car and did not expect the unprofessional behaviour of the staff there.
I went there because recently my car had started to shut down when I stopped in traffic lights.
I clearly explained the problem, however, the staff there being young and unprofessional I guess said that they need to expect it and they would charge me for about $136 for just checking the engine!!! And then as he said rudely, they will then see what will happen and how much more they will charge me!!

He was very rude in manners with me. This is particularly very disappointing especially when Holden an Australian company treats its own people like this rather than delivering a standard customer service. I hope my experience and the review that I am writing will alarm Holden to be more careful in how they are treating their customers.

Now, my car has been fixed thanks to a local mechanic who is a professional and experienced person who used to work in Holden. I guess it is very hard to find these kinds of people in Holden anymore.
Guess what; he fixed it for me for $40 including labour costs and cost of a part! He spent an hour on it. It is now running great! I think these kinds of local mechanics deserve more support. They give the best service at a way lower price than the Holden would provide.

I hope Holden would hear this and take it as an improvement in customer service. I will tell this to all my friends and family to be aware of this situation and how I have been treated.

Very poor service to the point we walked out and that was a shame as I really liked the car we were looking out but they definitely do not deserve the sale

Hi David I will give you a call after 4 however the car was for my mother and I dont think there is any possible way to get her back into the shop after the poor service

took my time to call you at 3 50 left my contact number was told I will get a call back shortly glad I didn't hold my breath... thanks Dave the Manager of holden

I responded to an advert via email for a late mod...

I responded to an advert via email for a late model car with low ks advertised on city holden web site, and other motoring webs sites,I received a call back the next working day which was good and advised the car was for sale still and call by for a look.
I did just that and when on site was told"no that was sold back on the 10th December 2015", this practice is known as "baiting" and is outlawed under South Australian and federal laws, do not fall fowl of the offer to look at something similar.
in this case the dealer ship had ample time to update the web sites and staff ........NO EXCUSES........a waste of my time and probably gives a clear incite into how things work at this dealer ship....my advice stay clear.

Great service and excellent communication
I've taken my car to Mark who is the HSV specialist for a couple of years now
Havent looked back
They take the time to explain what parts do and how they work in my car so I get to understand how it works. Love the interaction
It's worth me travelling 3 hrs to get my car serviced at City Holden.
