Good idea... unfortunately, when you have enough credits to 'buy' a voucher you find that they are all out of stock and there is a countdown timer.
It seems that the only things available to spend your credits on are free trials that you could have had anyway. Massive shame really as it's a great concept.

Great concept - 1 star because I have been using this for a while now, and have tons of points. Impossible to spend them on anything useful, constant countdown timers. This company is not true to their word of passing this back to the customers. Sort this out before people just switch back to their old browser, it's not honest.

It's a reluctant one star.

It's a reluctant one star.

The concept is really great. I don't even mind the idea of not being able to cash out the points as the company is still developing. However, the marketplace needs to be reconsidered. Gener8 are clearly receiving kickbacks from the companies offering free trial products in exchange for points - these have no real intrinsic value as they often offered on their respective websites anyway.

The most annoying thing about the marketplace comes from the awful products they have available to spend points on. Almost everything listed over the last two years has been on poor quality. I would rather not use the 3000 points than waste them on cheap headphones or alarm clocks - my phone is my alarm.

Would it be that hard to list something of quality the public would actually buy?

Just once, list something good.

I've been using gener8 for over a year now and they are amazing. I've loved seeing them grow as a company, staff are always on hand to help and answer questions. The extension itself is a great way of earning a extra cash. I've got a Google More

I think it's dead now. You can't retain your customer base on cheap branded USB sticks. They could advertise a Lamborghini on the marketplace as "Unavailable" or put a countdown timer on any random product that resets every 3 days, with such a minimal number available that you can never get one, and it would still be the same issues.

The Beta has been on-going for a very long time considering the baseline technology is there so it's evidently an issue for them to build commercial partnerships. The points earned (which I can assure you are not as many as they suggest the average user generates) are just piling up, because you can't spend them on anything useful. It's either 10% off a subscription, which is often being run by a company for new users anyway?! or giving a notional amount to a charity you can't choose #MinimalViableFeelGoodFactor

They either haven't got a business model that works because they've over-estimated the value obtained from a limited number of users data or willingness of companies to be involved, or they're profiting on the back of your data, by selling it on just like the very browsers they claim to be against.

Peter Jones, Touker Suleyman, Tej Lalvani, Tinie Tempah and Harry Redknapp have all invested in this "movement" but clearly the engine has stalled climbing the Gartner Hype Curve. Too many cooks? They'll probably hire Niko Kranjcar next, wouldn't surprise me if he could develop this product further, because right now it's flat-lined and the customer support and company updates are non-existent.
