Very cool bridge. It is actually possible and allowed to walk across using the sidewalks(sometimes one or the other side may be closed. Then cross using the stairs over the toll plaza or under the bridge on Rio side. and don't miss the small exhibition in the custom center) Takes about an hour and half to walk and then to the ferry to go back ( free of charge on foot, runs every 20 or 30 min ) amazing experience and views , easy to find parking around in the harbour on either side.

What 13.20 for a crossing. You made money for so many years. Reduce it now. Not only salaries !!!!!!

An architectural jewel that for many decades was a dream for many. The Rio-Antirio Bridge connects the Aetoloacarnania with the Peloponnese through the Corinthian Gulf in western Greece.

This magnificent architectural work combines the north and south of the region of Western Greece, once accessible only by ships. But transit costs could be cheaper. Let's do the math 13.20 x 5,000 crossings = 66,000 per day. But come on, there are many more crossings. Almost 2 million euros a month revenue at least. Ok there are expenses for taxes, salaries, maintenance, custody, protection, studies, emergencies, etc. But I think the price could be 30% to 40% lower given the basic salary of the average Greek. Again, it is good that for the permanent residents there is a card, but with a small benefit. There is also the option with the boat that you waste time but save about 6 per crossing
