The Food is very good and the garden is bountiful I love the glass fish picture

My husband and I stopped for lunch while traveling through and both loved our meals. We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely patio. Take a moment to walk the grounds. They have lovely landscaping and garden goods.

Saw the reviews and it made us turn around from an intended stop to come here. Outside of the building the garden beautiful! The ambiance was magnificent. A very friendly hostess seated us; but, the server approached rushed and seemed aggravated. She didn't say hello, she didn t introduce yourself, she just said, what can I get you to drink.
She seemed aggravated and annoyed by anything we asked...even when asking if there were any flavored teas. While we waited I went to the restrooms which were dirty. My husband ordered the grilled chicken sandwich which was delicious! The kid s burger my son got was really too big for a child but was great tasting. I didn t like the kettle chips that are served in place of your regular fries for two reasons 1) they re seasoned but that's not in the description 2) the price...for the price you're paying something more substantial is warranted.I ordered the chicken salad sandwich which was dripping with watery taste and overly sweet. When I expressed I didn t like it & tried to explain, she got really upset and snapped, so you want anything else? I was sad because we were on a Father s Day trip we re trying to find a cute little place to enjoy a lunch that we might possibly return to. The nursery was beautiful.

Fantastic! My friend had a reubin and I had a BLT. Both were amazing can't wait to go there again. Everything we saw on other tables looked equally (or more) delicious as ours. Very friendly staff too!

3rd visit from San Antonio. Excellent food and service.

The staff was great when the rain came while we were sitting outside and placed us inside. Everyone loved their food and we all really liked the atmosphere. A nice selection of wine and beer.

Brussel Sprouts.. followed by the gourmet grilled cheese(fontina puts it over the top) and fish tacos are on point. I cheated and dipped my fries in the leftover Brussels sweet chili sauce

Great food. Short hours. Call and make a reservation before you go. A little pricey though, but again, it was really good food.

I took my date here last night, and this place was amazing and romantic, the food was delicious, 5 star restaurant food, was better than a lot of the upscale restaurants I've ever been to. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant

We only got appetizers and dessert, but I can confirm the other 5 star reviews. Crabcake was great, Asian lettuce wraps were great, lemon cheesecake was great and the creme brulee was fabulous!!

Incredible food, great service, beautiful decor! I loved the selection of delicious salads and I would highly recommend the Brussels sprouts and the Brie appetizers!

Compfortable setting, fairly simple menu, but selection is limited. Prices are pretty high, for what you get ($12 for a BLT, $15 for a Rueben).

Do not pass this town and miss this gem. World class menu. Every item was genius. Make it part of your drive. You won't be disappointed.

On site with a nice garden place, this little Cafe has a nice menu, quaint atmosphere, friendly service and good food. I had the grilled chicken sandwich on Brioche and it was very good. The chicken was tender and jucy and the vegetables were fresh. Good sized piece of chicken and kettle chips.
Diane-I had the gourmet grilled cheese that had about 4 different kinds of cheeses on sourdough bread. It was creamy, grilled just right and yummy! There was a small side of Reisling chutney included which added a little extra to the overall flavor. Suzanne our server was very attentive and friendly.
Overall two thumbs up .

This is a beautiful little shop and restaurant. The food is great and they are knowledgeable about celiac and gluten free options.

Excellent food and service experience everytime we visit.

For a burger made of kobe beef the look and texture felt dry and grainy. The burger may have had drippings, but it didn't feel as if that was in the patty. Potato wedges were good and everyone else at the table appeared to enjoy their dish.

Wonderful gifts, plants, flowers and delicious food at the cafe!

Listen....if I could give this place 10 stars, I would!!! Every aspect of this place was amazing. The food is incredible and fresh, the service and especially the owners are worth going for in itself. There's nothing you can go wrong with on the menu, I promise. Stop thinking about it and just get there already. Also, check out the decor and the furniture. It was all handmade and built from an assortment of items that really gives this place the perfect vibe.

The town of Schulenberg is very fortunate. Not many small towns in Texas have a first class restaurant like The Garden Marketplace. I have stopped here numerous times when traveling in the area and each time the food, service, and atmosphere has always been excellent. Give this place a try and you will be back time and time again like me.

Beautiful decor and fantastic food. The only thing missing is an expresso machine. Still, it was a great discovery and we ll definitely incorporate a stop here in future travels to Houston.

AMAZING! The food. The ambiance. The service. The decor. I had the beet salad wth grilled shrimp. Ingredients were so fresh. I also had the bread pudding. Best bread pudding I've ever had!

Stopped from Hwy 10 looking for lunch as we travel thru Texas. OMG. I had a glass of French Savignon Blanc wine with the most wonderful tomato basil soup and bacon wrapped chicken bites. Husband had lamburger that he said is the best he has ever had. Good thing we don't live here because we would be eating here everyday. Yum.

It's a very nice place! Please don't forget to try the Edamame, it's amazing. Baked Brie is a really good starter and burgers are a must. This is a 5 star restaurant for the Tri-county.

Wonderful food, nice people.The garden shop created a bouquet for us to take to the JOP and the restaurant provided a lovely lunch. We love Schulenburg!

Did not expect a restaurant making food with vegetables from their garden in Schulenburg! Everything we tried was delicious including the chicken sandwich, the Korean mini tacos, and all of their salads. Can not recommend the Garden Co. enough.
