It is not a good place in sumer time especially for girls who don't want to be harassed by guys who are one from other countries for vacations, and very obvious prostitution in the garden and hotel common areas, I saw some guys from rich Arab lands who don't care wither prostitute or not so they just hit on anyone. I believe Marriott should stop this from happening and hire proper security who don't get paid also to shut thier mouth, this is against women rights and its low and downgrade for Marriott.
I personally left after 5 minutes since I won't accept to be judged when entering such a dirty place.

Embarrassing, in three days staying there I had to call the reception several times, one of the days they had not cleaned the room, and the next I was denied a blanket at reception since it was cold in the room .... Surreal things especially in a hotel that is supposed to be 5 stars ... Horrible

The Cairo Marriott Hotel is one of the historical hotels in Cairo, and it is a large five-star hotel located in the Zamalek area in the land of the island located on the Nile River in Cairo in Egypt, and this hotel was originally known as the Gezira Palace, which was built by Khedive Ismail to receive the guests of the celebrations of the opening of the Suez Canal
Khedive Ismail built the Gezira Palace in 1869 to be the official residence for the guests of the celebrations of the opening of the Suez Canal, especially the guest of honor, Empress Eugenie, wife of Emperor Napoleon III. The palace was designed by the German architect Julius Franz and the decorator was done by the engineer, Carl von Ditch, who brought the most luxurious of what can be obtained from Decorations and accessories from Paris and Berlin at the time. That cost three quarters of a million pounds.

In 1879 the palace was sold to the Egyptian Hotel Company to pay part of the debts of Khedive Ismail and it was converted into the Gezira Palace Hotel, and after the collapse of the tourist movement in Egypt during World War I, the owner company decided to sell the palace in 1919 to one of the Lebanese princes, Prince Habib Lotfullah, who turned it into Private residence, and in 1962 the palace was nationalized and converted again into a hotel in the name of Omar El-Khayyam Hotel. Then, in the early 1970s, Marriott International took over the management of the hotel.
Renewal
With the beginning of the seventies, the palace witnessed a fundamental change in its history with the management of the "Marriott International" company. The palace and gardens were restored with the construction of two towers on both sides of it to include 1250 luxurious rooms and suites while retaining the original palace as a headquarters for reception, restaurants, meeting rooms and ballrooms. The hotel was opened in 1982. The hotel consists of three buildings, the first building is the palace building, which consists of 5 floors with hotel halls, restaurants, shopping stores, the main hall and reception, the second building is a building in Zamalek, and the third is the island tower, and between these buildings there is a swimming pool, restaurants and a club, and the gardens are located on an area of six acres and rise The hotel towers, 20 floors

Located in a fairly central area of Cairo, convenient for a visit to the city, the central building is fabulous an ancient and beautiful luxury.
I've been there three times but always dream of going back. The rooms of the comfortable and spacious towers are restructured a little at a time, so I happened to sleep both with old and worn furnishings, and with new and modern furniture.
