I have this unacceptable experience on Galpin Ford on Roscoe . Heres my story since last year ive been receiving a letter for a recall from galpin ford for 3 times finally i said ok im going to bring it. Take note my truck is well maintained no issues on transmission for the whole years i been using it. Heres the recall is for about :

Vehicles recalled: Certain 2011-13 Ford F-150 trucks manufactured at Ford s Dearborn, Mich., assembly plant from April 28, 2010, through Oct. 28, 2013, and at its Kansas City, Mo., assembly plant from May 18, 2010, through Nov. 18, 2013.

The problem: A speed sensor may temporarily stop communicating with other parts of the truck s powertrain. As a result, the truck may shift into first gear and the rear wheels may lock up. This recall is related to an earlier recall from 2016 that included 2011-2012 Ford F-150 trucks, 2012 Ford Mustang coupes and convertibles, and 2012 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator SUVs.

Now i bring it to the Galpin Ford dealership 2/29/20 to have the recall done they said ok ill get it the afternoon and i say ok if you can change also the transmission fluid might as well do it since the truck is already here they said ok . Pick it up drove to home ok.next day 3/1/20 me and my family used the truck because i told myself for me to test whats the difference of what they did ,we went to church then going back home now this issue happen were running like 20mph on a side street i hear loud jolt coming from the back thought i hit a pothole then i hear a high noise that sounds like a high rev coming from my truck and my truck is not moving at all all the cars at the back are honking and the car on our back almost hit us. Me and My family got scared imagine they will put us into danger releasing our truck with this issue that i never had since i have this truck . And what happened is , thats the recall exactly what was all about so in short they ruined my truck that doesnt have any history of this issue ever since i have this truck . Im still thankfull that were not on a freeway when that happens . I tried to call my service advisor named John Fidelibus left voicemail lots of time no call back .Ok ill just bring it there for a back job 3/3/20 then Waited for John seems hes so busy no time to call back on a customer complaint . Of course he told me that no connection on what they did blah blah blah but he will have them check run on a computer for a test. 3/4/20 John called me back saying they found the error on their computer that they have to open the transmission blah blah blah and i have to pay this amount $900 plus. Ok so im writing this review to let you guys know how this dealership does they will get your money . And im not getting my truck back until i know its safe to ride and if they want just put back my truck back where it was before when i bring it in and im sure they cant because damage was already done. But im not paying anything on this bias unfair business.

Service is 5 stars every time. I am a repeat new car buyer here, but had an issue last purchase on a lease buy out. Sales Dept dropped the ball. Next vehicle purchase won't be from here, but I still get all my service done here.

Galpin Motors has a huge selection of cars and trucks! Their facility is nice, clean, well staffed and is a great place to find your new/used wheels! Neil Stone is the man at Galpin and will get you the best deal that is currently possible...I've been going to him for years and couldn't recommend him/them more!

That's only because the plate I chose didn't impress me. It was the Fritata and Feta. But I'm sure it's exactly the way it should be cooked.

Not a fan of this place. They seem to only help you if you bought a car from them. Sorry can't undo what's been done. And now I wouldn't buy one from you in the future.

It is a great place to get that special car you can't find elsewhere. The service department is too busy and a nightmare, so I bought my special car there but I will have it serviced at a less crowded dealer.

After waiting four and a half hours for my car to be serviced are the following observations. 1)The fast lane is not. 2) Making an appointment does not prioritize or help a customer. 3) The promised time at 1:30 pm, after the two and half hours, is when my car finally aas put on a lift to be worked. My conlusion is either they are incompetant or just don't care. They should have paid me for lost time from work or the service should have been free. Never going back!

Very good dealership. The galpin Ford restaurant was ok it took a long time for food to be made about a half an hour to make a sandwich.

I took my car there to be checked out and they told me there was a hundred fifty cars ahead of me and I would have to wait 3 days before they could look at it

3 hour wait for a scheduled oil change at 9am on a Saturday. Requested the wash/rinse when finished. When i got the message that car was finally done, it was just as dirty as when it came in. Had to wait another 20 mins. Not the first time this has happened at Galpin, but definitely the last. I'll be going to Sunrise Ford in North Hollywood from now on, you should too.

I took my f150 in for the rear differential making noise ,and its been sitting there since September 30th and still I don't have my truck back since they said 5 weeks its been 8 weeks

This is probably the most efficient car dealership I have been at. I was there doing a "dealer trade" and during my visit I saw probably one of the largest service departments I have ever seen, and it was immaculate with the floor being clean enough you could have eaten off it.

Great experience and service from the staff. They were able to replace the passenger side airbag that was part of the Ford recall faster than I anticipated. The great thing is that they take photos of your vehicle at check in for inspection and offer complimentary car wash. They have serviced my Ford Fusion Sport edition for years and appreciate the care and attention. As you are waiting for your service, you might get to see some nice toys.

Great place friendly and you can charge your cars there

I've been doing business with Galpin for over 30 years. Jay Goldman is my favorite Associate. Between myself and family we have purchased over a dozen cars. I won't shop anywhere else for a car and I won't work with anyone else but Jay!

Highly disappointed when Galpin closed its Subaru dealership in the Santa Clarita Valley in order to replace it with a Porsche dealership. Rather than continuing to provide service for Subarus locally, Galpin simply directed us to have the vehicles serviced at its Van Nuys dealership. Not acceptable to burn half a day driving to and from Van Nuys and sitting around for an oil change.

I've been buying vehicles from galpin for the last several years. I'm always treated very well. I what to think Vartan for the best service.

Took in my Volkswagen passat because it was,stuck on neutral. They told me they had to diagnose the problem. Then called me a few days later to tell me I needed a new transmission. I asked how much it would be and they told me it would be $7000 for a new one. I thought it was a lot so I told them I would take some where else. I took it to my mechanic so he could inspect it and see what the problem was. It was only the axle which only cost me $300.

Great service when you buy the car and great support when the car needs service. I reviewed Galpin Motors as Galpin Ford, but they also sell several other brands: Volvo, Mazda, Volkswagen, Honda, Jaguar, Lincoln, and a whole bunch of really expensive vehicles. So, just in case, here's an new look. This is a large dealership, covering several city blocks, with thousands of new and used cars. They also have a custom shops that does excellent work and can make any car as different or special as you wish. Everything's wheelchair accessible including bathrooms, their restaurant and an on-site Starbucks. The really expensive cars are kept in a "safe" on the second floor of the Lincoln/Volvo/Jaguar building. The "bank vault" door to the "safe" showroom is huge. Ask your salesperson to give you a look. I have been dealing with Galpin for over 20 years and they have always provided great service from the time you buy, to when you trade-in the car. Free wheelchair accessible parking.

Didn't buy a car, but went to a Starbucks inside the dealership.
Very clean operation. Clean bathrooms.
No sales or management staff talked with me or any member of my family. They take no pressure tactic to a level that's so perfect, it chases you away.
I'm sure someone could have driven a car off of the showroom and nobody would have cared.
Maybe the car dealership is a front for selling coffee... humm. What's in the coffee?
