What to say?! The only flaw is the place ... In a globalized world Italy in Italy is not the prospect ... The museum itself abroad would tell us magnificently ... It still remains an excellence

Impossible not to go to the academy to see the famous David !. Besides, it has incomplete sculptures that help to understand the work done in this type of sculpture; Assorted paintings by famous painters and assorted sculptures of people. We went in the morning and the line was terrible, without having bought the ticket but at noon the line fell a lot.

Must-see when you go to Florence. The lines outside are very long, so make sure to reserve your tickets online or by phone (minimum the day before). Call their number if there are no tickets available online, as there are often more available by phone.

The statue of David is obviously the highlight, but there is so much more to the museum, so spend at least 1-1.5 hours there.

The Accademia Gallery in Florence houses artistic works of unique beauty, just mention Michelangelo's David! the prices to visit it are right and if you go in a group, they will also make discounts. Together with others, it is one of the museums to be visited if you go to Florence

Highly recommend to get a reserved time ticket! The regular line for tickets can take hours! You might still have to wait some for a reserved ticket, but not much. Also, you can t take in water bottles over 500 ml. It will most likely be very packed inside, but if seeing David is important to you, it s worth it.

A must-go to see the statue of David. Staff is very kind, knowledgeable, and informed. They are passionate about the artworks and the history of the gallery and are always excited to inform museum goers of anything they are curious about. The art gallery is also well organized and informative about its artworks. Overall, a required location to go to when visiting Florence, especially to go see the statue of David. I recommend getting the tickets online or through a tour before going to the gallery, to avoid the long ticket/wait lines. The tickets are given by time slots. This art gallery is definitely a must when in Florence!

be prepared to have your breath taken away - not only by David, but also by the suffocating crowds if you go while it's even remotely busy.

but seeing michelangelo's finest sculpture in the flesh (so to speak) is priceless. book in advance and pay whatever you need to to make your time spent waiting as short as possible.

Very cool art collection. Seeing the David is obviously the main atraction but anyone into medieval and Renaissance art will get a kick out of this.

Some parts are awfully lit, however, and the expositions are only in Italian and English.

When we went there they had a history of instrumentation expo that was pretty cool, but most of the statues and sculptures weren't available for closer inspection.

Compared to the Uffizi, it's a small gallery. However, it contains what, in my humble opinion, is the greatest work of art in the history of mankind: Michelangelo's David. It alone makes the visit worthwhile. They also have on display a number of marble sculptures by Lorenzo Bartolini and Luigi Pampaloni, and some unfinished work by Michelangelo.
The musical instrument's wing is also worth visiting - they have a few Stradivarius on display.

When in Florence it's a must-go to see the David but aside from that there isn't much else going on. Small gallery relatively speaking. Info reps at the front door weren't helpful, purposely ignored me (three times) when I'd asked where to pick up our online tickets. We ended up lining up in the pre-purchased ticket line only to be then told to walk across the street to get the actual ticket (not the voucher we were emailed... Why not just email the ticket?!) then line up again to get it.

This place is heaven of sculpture lovers. The elegant statue of David, by the great Michelangelo, and many more interesting statues and paintings. You have to pay 12 for ticket unless you're a student with a valid proof and ID. Enjoy!

The best of the gallery is without a doubt The David by Michelangelo !! The rest of the gallery is mainly Romanesque art. Just for the David it is already worth it, it is advisable to go with a reservation because the waiting can be endless !!

Being able to see the David is beyond worth the trip!! To make the museum and pieces come to life I highly recommend hiring a guide/tour. We used Walks of Italy and were so glad that we did!!!! With a tour group you also get to skip the lines which is super awesome as the lines can be horrendously long!
