G.W. Carson's Burger Bar Review

Ate here while on vacation with my girlfriend. She has an iron intolerance and gets sick when she eats red meat so we both appreciated the turkey burger on the menu which she loved. I had the reaper burger, which while spicy, was a great burger and the pepper was a great addition, flavorful while still packing a punch. We both were surprised that it really was well priced for both of us to enjoy a meal out together. Would for sure visit again, great food, good service, and good prices.

Friday night deciding where to eat. Arrived at Carson's, band was playing and the place was rocking. Service was great, you can order any burger and substitute the veggie! Had rice and mashed potatoes all got and tasty.

Very convenient for the Holiday Inn across the road. Very nice ambience. Food was excellent and good drinks selection.

Wonderfully appointed, staff is friendly and attentive. Huge apps(mac n cheese will feed 4) and very well prepared and presented entrees. On top they have a respectable and well rounded beer selection.

Was craving steak, only saw 1 steak option. Maybe I missed something. Went to longhorn.

Nothing particularly wrong with the place, just a bit status quo.

Be careful to ask for anything on your burger onions cost $1.50 !!exactly asked for manager he said he will $ 1 and for cheese $1.50 that is high way robbery for a slice of onion on Burger $1.50 please give customers at least a choice when you are changing gourmet burger prices

We stopped in to get a bite to eat and were pleasantly, surprised by the attentiveness of the staff, the ambience and the food was so good, we look forward two coming back again would recommend it to anyone who loves a good burger. And the Truffle fries were so delicious added bonus.

Great burgers at reasonable prices. Very happy we decided to try this place, staff was attentive and friendly, and could not have been happier with the quality of the food.

The waitress was very nice and very personable. The food took a while to get out but when it came out it was delicious.

Quality beer selection, wings are on point, cocktails are good and the staff knows when you need attention and when to leave you alone.

Outdoor seating for the warmer months and a talented bartender compliments the tasty menu options.

A burger smothered in Mac and Cheese: how could one go wrong?!?

Stopped by for a late lunch and had a great burger with a nice local IPA sea hag .

Have eaten here on multiple occasions. Great place to bring the family. Staff is attentive and friendly, food is great quality and menu features special items on different days which keeps it fun.

I went here and the burgers were horrible. The wait staff didn t ever check on us or refill our drinks. I m sorry but I ve been to a lot of burger places and this place is one of the worst.

I eat gluten free and have always been very satisfied with both the food and service here. Menu has specifically marked GF next to safe food, the staff is friendly and accommodating, becoming one of our favorite places to go!

Food better than average, and priced accordingly. Somewhat pricey, but still a good value. Good atmosphere. Will go back- still need to try their burger...

Best burger and definitely order the fried pickles and peppers

Good place, well worth a visit if you like burgers. I had to go big and get The Reaper burger, and while the meat was cooked as expected and it was surely hot enough- some of the burger was too crazy. What I mean is when it says 'avacado', it's literally an entire avacado cut into 4's. When it says 'jalapeno', I expected maybe 6 to 10 on there but it was probably the equivalent of 2 or 3 whole peppers, probably 40 pieces of jalapeno. Now to some that would be a great thing but I just saw it as overkill. I would try this place again for sure, but next time I'll be more selective with what I order so I dont have to pull half of the sandwiches ingredients off of it. This is in no way a bad review just my own opinion, I say certainly try this place for yourself I'm sure you'll really like it. A little pricey (especially the milkshakes for their size), but delicious and filling for the price you pay.

Saw the sign on the highway coming back from NY & figured we'd give it a shot? Very modern atmosphere, Great beer selection, friendly service & great selection of some unique burgers. You can.even design your own which I did! GREAT PLACE, A MUST VISIT! A+!!!

Tasty food at the right price point. We had the pork buns (the low point but still good) , the bacon mac & cheese (expected in a good way), the triple grilled cheese (my fickle eight year old really liked), and a burger.

No kids menu or portions, but we can take the leftovers home.

Our first time visit was yesterday and we went for lunch. Let me tell you the food was delicious and the presentation just as FABULOUS. The service was good. The only issue we had was that my credit card was charged a tip automatically. We always tip in cash and had left a $10 bill. But our bill was 52.07 and I was charged 62.48. An exact 20% tip. I went back and they denied it and when I had proof they said said it would be credited back to my account. The staff was prompt, responsive, and decent in handling the issue and states that it is a policy with preloaded cc companys that is beyond their control which I verified throught the cc company.

I've been calling since 3pm and it's now 7:15pm with no answer . The phone seems to go to a fax sound. I just want pick up an order of a Bacon Burger with swiss, MR. What is going on there?

Went there with a date on Feb. 16, 2019. We waited a while for service, but the waiter did tell us he would be right with us, but then he wasn't. We watched him go from table to table. Food was good, we shared the truffle fries and the top sirloin medium rare, a glass of Cabernet and she had tea. Unfortunately, the steak was really rare. But the strangest thing was being served by men in t shirts. It was quite gross having a very hairy arm thrust by my face serving drinks and plates of food. Get some long sleeves for your staff, Management.

The food was very delicious; loved the bacon jam. And the service was excellent. It was my first time here and I'll be back!

Something wasn't quite right when we had our lunch there. Nothing awful but folks at the next table concurred wondering out loud, "I hope we're waiting a really long time for really good food". It was good enough when it finally came, but the wait staff seemed stressed and trying to cover a lot of bases. Have heard lots of good in the past, hoping this was an exception...

The truffle fries are to die for! The burgers are excellent! Perfectly cooked where medium is a medium burger. Beer selection is awesome and has a ton of local brews. Service was excellent too. This is definitely a place I'd visit again if I were in the area.

Delicious food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere! The calamari and burgers are top notch.

Good food, and the service is good also, but just good, and nothing was particularly exciting. Also, I expected a better selection of steaks and it wasn't there. The onion rings are good, the buffalo wings are good, and the portions are good in size as well.

This restaurant is my number one site. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this place. when I I need a proper dinner, this restaurant comes immediately to my mind. superb and all kinds of food and a rich cuisine.helpful staff, and pleasant mood. Not less important, the price is modest. I recommend this place with great pleasure.

Nice large place, on a warm day, there is even a porch to sit outside.. prices are ok.. if you like fried food, there are lots of choices on the menu. Salmon burger was nice, found cheese burger spring roll interesting but was dripping oil/fat grease. Lots of good side dishes: Brussels sprouts, sweet potato fries, mashed potatoes were a few..

Great burgers. The service is very good. Always have a positive experience.

What the hell happened here...Service not great and either were the burgers. Very disappointed in my favorite burger on the shoreline.
