This is an all time favorite!! We sat in the atrium, I noticed baseboard heat-no forced air fans blowing. Service is polite and very attentive. It was a real treat! Their vegetarian options are always a delight, really!! Brussel sprout appetizer with cranberry and other magic-nothing like brussel sprouts as a kid. Roasted cauliflower cooked through perfectly, firm, not mushy and not crunchy, served on a delicious risotto with a little steamed spinach with complementary seasoning-never dull! We had their chickpea tomato soup that was so unique I went home and made my own version, sadly without the mint pesto served here. And finished with the lemon custard, ginger tart and a cup a Joe for the drive home. You will not be disappointed here! If you enjoy cooking, prepare to be inspired.

First class experience. Certainly one of my favorite places to dine in the city. The staff is always super welcoming, the restaurant is always clean and neat and the food is fantastic. Book your table right now.

My husband and I ate here to celebrate our anniversary. It was the first weekend restaurants were allowed to have dine-in seating but we sat in the beautiful courtyard. Service was warm and appropriately paced. We had the baba ganoush as an appetizer and it was delicious. I had the wild halbut and it was perfectly cooked and the quinoa and veggies were seasoned so well. The sauce was also divine. My husband had the grilled Gerber chicken. He doesn't normally like bone in chicken but he really enjoyed his as well. The ginger snap lemon tart was scrummy and my cocktail, the Liberace was also perfectly balanced. Couldn't have been more pleased with our meal.

I don't recall having been treated better at any restaurant. The staff are polite, attentive without being obtrusive, knowledgeable, careful and helpful, as evidenced by our waiter, Patrick. The food is extraordinary. Three of us had separate appetizers and entrees that we each sampled. All were perfectly cooked, presented beautifully and the taste sensations solidified the feelings of comfort and satisfaction we all had when we first walked through the door. When I return to Columbus I will return to this restaurant and I heartily encourage others to do so.

I've been meaning to check this place out for a while and finally got the chance during restaurant week. It has to be one of the best deals - you get so much food for not a bad price! Shrimp and grits is what they're known for, I absolutely recommend. Our server Alex O. was super helpful in picking out a bottle of wine for the table, even when we all got different entrees!

A lot of reviews here about the Shrimp and Grits (a menu staple), and they are great. But definitely venture off into the menu and try something different. Chef's seasonal menu is full of surprises. My wife and I make this our "go to" choice for dinner every time we go out. LOVE G. Michael's!

Visited for happy hour and was blown away by both the specials on the happy hour menus as well as the quality of the food, beverage and service. The quail with Johnny cakes and the graham cracker calamari were both excellent. The cocktail list is pretty phenomenal as well and you can get a Sazerac for $6!

I have ordered twice for carry out in the last two weeks. The entire staff were excellent and easy to work with. The food was tasty and perfectly prepared. I highly recommend using their carry out for a great dining experience.

We were lucky enough to score an open table on their very nice, but small patio. Im guessing we got lucky for such a feat on a Saturday night!A full service bar of course, drinks were great. Our formally dressed server was great as well, very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous.

This is my FAVORITE place German Village!!! Simple the best restaurant in the area. Their happy hour is amazing. $6 cocktails $5 wine $3 beer $8 apps/shareable. You can't do better. (Happy hour bar area only)

The food and service is hands down the best in the city!!! Great for special occasions or if you find yourself at the book loft. This is a must try in CBUS!

This is a very upscale and pricey restaurant. The food was exceptionally good, I had the Pheasant breast with potatoes and it was very good. There was quite a large selection of wines and beers, which was very nice to compliment the meal. Everything was a little pricey for my taste, but then it is a very nice restaurant.

We couldn t believe the condescending attitude of out server. She treated us like we were an inconvenience and she was doing us a favor. The manager did absolutely nothing to rectify our poor experience. Very disappointing. The food was not as I ve heard. I would have not minded the fish being sub-par and other dishes over salted if the staff had pulled through, as friendliness and caring go a long way. Food can be lacking from time to time for a number of reasons, but there is no excuse for poor service.

american food at this spot - delicious. I like it here, excellent food & service. Service is typically good. Bring your appetite because portions are large. This place has many good reviews for a reason.

Wonderful anytime of year but the Restaurant Week menu was amazing. The duck burgoo was spicy and satisfying. The trout was perfectly cooked and the lemon gingersnap was the perfect ending. And John at the bar makes some of the best cocktails. The Cardi Bees Knees, so good.

After being quartined for months it is good to get out and sit at a restaurant that you feel like they are doing the right thing. If your in the bar John will make you a fabulous drink and have great conversation. Kudos guys. And don't forget to order the Corn Off the Cob.

My wife and I enjoyed an excellent dinner here in September of 2018. The atmosphere, services, drinks, and food were all spectacular! It was one of the best meals we ve ever had. We highly recommend!

This was our first time to G. Michael's. We heard from several friends how amazing this was supposed to be. Unfortunately, it was disappointing to say the least. We arrived a little early and stood at the bar, nice ambiance, but it was the bar.

Our server was hard to understand, never mentioned it was our anniversary, which I started upon making the reservation. She rushed taking our order, she made no suggestions. We had the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer, they were good, not great. My wife had the lasagna, honestly, it was not even worthy of being called lasagna. I had the Broiled oysters.

I would have loved this to be the experience that I heard was so wonderful, we left hungry and disappointed.

I have gone here for years. It's a Columbus institution at this point. The low country cooking of Chef Dave is always on point. The locally source menu changes with the seasons and I wish I could go back sooner!

A favorite location for delicious american food. It was so fresh. The service was sociable and attentive. Prices were fair for the quality of the food. Makes me feel like I am back in Sacramento.

Great food and a really knowledgeable staff. The presentation was really good and the appetizers were outstanding. The bacon wrapped shrimp and cream cheese was so amazing I had to order more! I highly recommend this place if it is within your budget, it can get pricey but a superior quality and attention to detail makes it worth it.

Amazing! My new favorite restaurant in Columbus! We went there tonight for our 27th anniversary, and it did not disappoint. Food, service, and atmosphere was outstanding. Alex, our waitress, was excellent! Charred Octopus over gnocchi was one of the best things I have ever eaten!

Best food in German Village. (And beyond I am sure but Stay at Home Orders limit our reach). Never disappoints. And they are well organized in the crisis. Go here over and over. Highly recommended.
