BBQ on a waffle?!? I don't know who thought of it but it's delicious!

Chicken and waffles or any savory waffle are your best bets any time of day. Have yet to attend a musical performance, but I've heard the venue is excellent for any genre.

Great music and friendly vibes from the people. Lots of tie-dye and hippies. The waffles are also tasty.

They need real maple syrup real bad. Canada isn't far away enough for there to be any excuse for "pancake syrup".

Waited probably an hour between the line to order and then making the food, but was definitely worth the wait! Bacon/brie/basil waffle is an incredible combination. Banana bread with blueberries and walnuts was spectacular. 10/10 recommend for anyone visiting Syracuse.

Waffles are good, lots of choices. There is usually live music playing.

Lots of nice menu options plus a friendly and courteous staff.

Great food with the right expectations. Don't go expecting a standard suit down restaurant, this is more akin to cafeteria style.

This venue is amazing-- live music every day. Really great place with good staff, and excellent variety of quality bands. Also attracts a good eclectic crowd, and really feels the way a music venue should-- intimate, and full of good vibes.

Food was decent but we waited 20 minutes for a table and another 45 for a couple of waffles and the order was scattered. Wouldn't go again.

Definitely has that "hole in a wall" feeling and a unique smell, but that's what helps gives this place charm. Plenty of delicious waffles to choose from, as well as other menu items (all which can be viewed on their website), although there are few noteworthy staples, in my opinion. It's a filling experience, and pretty good though, so it's worth checking out.
Haven't been on a night with a live performance, however.

Good music every day, too many good waffles, hard to decide

Stumbled across this establishment only a block from my hotel. Desperate for something interesting to do on a Monday night besides sit at a bar, this place came through bigly. Almost passed by, as I am not a waffle guy. However, the familiar sounds of a Jerry Garcia riff caught my ear and drew me in. After paying the modest $5 cover, it was immediately clear that my destination had been reached, for the rest of the evening. That is to say, a Dead tribute band was on the stage of this smaller sized (1800 sq ft) bar. Evidently the band plays each Monday night. My smile only broadened when my eyes landed on The Macallan 12 scotch bottle behind the bar. Game on. The band is tight and clearly had it's share of devotees who come to watch them every Monday night, as a rule. This review is clearly band and bar related. There was a large curtain dividing the binary layout: food one side, bar fun...the other. I did not dine, so please seek other reviews subjective to the grub offerrings.
The next trip to Syracuse will be one that has
F & W in the itinerary.

Well they do make good waffles. The place isn't the most cozy or uber clean, but if waffles is what you crave, then this is your place.

Awesome spot for unique food offerings and the decor alone. So much to explore that it will require multiple visits to even scratch the surface. The stage in the dining area offers great atmosphere even when no one is performing

It was ok buttermilk waffles could use some flavor & chicken was a little over cooked. Pulled pork panini was good just needs to come with fries instead of chips.

Can't say enough good things about this place. It's addicting and incredibly tasty. Must go spot

This place is amazing, get regular chicken and waffles or the banana bread waffle. Both delicious. Use the sauce they give you it s what makes the meal.

Weekly event the Jazz Jam at Funk n waffles it's wonderful young talent and old coming display their love for the American Music jazz every Sunday 3 to 5

Visited the Landmark Theater today and decided to check this place out because well it was within walking distance of the theater. We we're NOT disappointed that's got sure. Interesting menu and fast, friendly service. Prices were extremely reasonable! Definitely worth another visit!

Creative way to do breakfast hands down one the best places to eat chicken and waffles.

The staff and service were great. Unfortunately the food was subpar. All of our eggs were burned to a dark brown color, I ordered a side of scrambled eggs and got an omelet instead, and for some reason they threw my sausage in the same container even though it was for someone else and I did not want sausage flavored eggs. My waffle was also very tough, not light and fluffy. Last but not least, the sandwich we ordered was toasted way too much on one side and soft on the other. Anybody can have an off day, so we'll try them out again. Hope it lives up to our expectations when we do. I gave 3 stars because of the service.

Everything that comes out this place taste freaking amazing. I do recommend you try them out, you don't know how much you're missing out.

Ordered a waffle and it came gummy and undercooked. Had them reluctantly lake another and this one had dry patches of flower in it. I brought the issue up to the manager (Mark). He said it was supposed to be like that. I told him I loved the other location an the quality of food had changed. He said he's never heard that before but judging by the recent reviews on here I'm sure he has. I left it with him saying I wish I could come back but I most likely will take it off my list of places to eat. He replied "that's ok" so that made it easy for me to never return to a once great establishment.

This was an excellent dining experience. The food was great, the employees were nice, the bathrooms, restaurant and area in general were clean! The food tasted amazing, I would definitely recommend the bootsy brunch. The style of the restaurant was modern and interesting. 10/10 amazing restaurant!

next year I will come with my friends to visit America we want to taste your waffles. it will be an engaging experience.

Fun atmosphere and good place to bring out of town guests for breakfast.

Haven't even gotten my food yet and I'm ready to leave. Why? Because the customer service was horrid, beyond slow service, and I've been waiting an hour for my food. Not the best impression when this is my first time coming here. I was really looking forward to it too!

Not only was this SO DELICIOUS but we had no wait time and the cashier was so sweet and friendly. Great pricing, great food, great customer service. It was my first time trying chicken n waffles and it was incredible. 5 stars all around!

A great place to go an grab a waffle or panini at any time of day or go grab a drink and see a great show in the evening. This place has music every night and draws a really diverse crowd of all ages and backgrounds. So glad to have this great venue in downtown Syracuse.

Their food is excellent and the live bands make it worth the visit.
