Cool place and really good beer. The food was also delicious and very affordable. It's a good place to go with friends or family even with kids. We had the meatballs, pizza and the scallops with creamy grits and everything was great. The beer flights are great. I love that they have all kids of beers; lagers, wit, ipas, sours, barley wine and stouts. The barley wine is very strong but delicious.

Second time coming here. Did flights of their IPAs and IPLs, was not that impressed. It did not pass on a good blending of their flavors as much as other IPAs do. There was nothing here that we tasted that made us say: Damn, we need to take a 6pack of these home.

You would never expect a brewery to have great food but Jack's Abby somehow manages to make excellent beer and amazing food. It really has no right to be as delicious as it is. Definitely a new favorite of ours. It can get a little hectic at some of the busier times as there is no line or reservation and everything is pick your own seating but we haven't had to wait too long for a table so far.

Great place. Their taps keep flowing. Good food to wash down the beers. Also have some cool merchandise up for purchase. The crowd is vibrant on weekends. The servers pay great attention to you so you never feel left out. 5/5. Must visit when in Framingham.

Great selection of beers at a great price! Flights are popular and I highly recommend doing one per person. Love the lively atmosphere. If it's a weekend, be prepared to wait for seating or "hovering" for a bit. Worth to the wait though, as the food is also amazing and fresh.

Great food, great beer. The confusion from their serving system really did hurt the experience. Their POS system clearly isn't designed for their beer hall style and caused a lot of confusion. Also the beer hall style seating lead to a lot of passive aggressive show downs of people trying to claim seats as groups left.

So, I honestly don't usually like breweries. I don't like beer, they're often noisy, and the food is often mediocre and expensive. Well - the food was expensive, but it was really delicious. Their fries are amazing, and I highly reccomend the poutine. Outdoor seating for covid, so no noise issues.

Big place, with tons of seating and it still gets packed. I hear the pizza is supposed to be good. The beer is okay but they do offer some premium and unique beer that they make. Service is good. The parking lot is a block away.

We first came because my hubby had tried their Hoponious Union and really enjoyed it. We've now been here several times, and while I'm not a beer drinker I would come just for the food. I usually have the lager wine but enjoyed the BOLT beer last time. Charcuterie is amazing, every fish dish we've tried...outstanding. We have breweries closer to home but their beers don't compare to Jack's. Once you get used to the college dining hall style search for a table, it'll be worth the wait. And you just might meet some interesting beer lovers.

Our first visit to Jack's Abby was wonderful. We signed up online for a brewery tour (only given on Sundays) which was great. Our tour guide Taylor was very knowledgeable and walked us through the various parts if the brewery floor.

The food at the beer hall is amazing! We got a sampler flight, the sauerbraten, and the clam and shrimp pasta. The meat in the sauerbraten was super-tender and tasty. The pasta was very decadent (but not off-puttingly so, which happens a lot).

We'll definitely be going back here again to try their pizzas and seasonal brews.

Amazing beer. Went with my girlfriend and tried 6 different beers ranging from their lightest to darkest. They have $3 and $5 beer options, flights were around $4.50-5+. Only rating 3 stars however, because while the food was excellent, it is extremely expensive and the items are very limited. This location has lots of potential if they are able to adjust their menu to be a little bit more accommodating for Framingham... I think the owners believe they're located in Newton or Wellesley.

Jack Abby has great Beer, food, and an awesome environment. Glad I got to experience this brewery on my first trip to Boston. Customer service was excellent. Definitely recommend Jack s Abby brewery on your list of breweries to visit in Boston.

Recently opened Jack's Abby is set up like a German beer garden with long communal tables. They specialize in lagers. Beer is good. Food is good. They aren't trying to turn tables so you can stay as long as you like and not feel the pressure from staff to get moving.

No doubts.. 5/5 for everything.. price 5/5, beer quality 5/5, Service 5/5 , food 4/5 .. love this brewary.. my fav is Good n You, but you can taste all beers before buying a growler.. wish we have such places in NJ :( very courteous service.. growlers are also cheap compared to other brewaries. .. they charge about 10$ for 64 OZ, and 3$ for the bottle.. Other brewary charges around 18$ for 64OZ plus bottle.. must visit if you are around Framingham area !! 3 cheers to staff and management !

Jack's is always good. I had a 5.5 double dry hopped lager Citrabrau and a red IPL called Lashes. And for desert a 2 oz peanut butter cup Baltic porter, delish. And the food wasn't bad either.

Very nice place, with all types of beer for you to try, you can order samples so it's easy.
Food is amazing and very tasty, you need to try the Braised Pork Shank, very delicious.
This is definitely a place to go if you looking for something different.
Fair price, good food and awesome beer.

Awesome beer, terrific food, good company!

Awesome beer, terrific food, good company!

Jack's Abby has made a pretty decent leap from their humble beginnings. From a cramped, somewhat scruffy beer hall to this is not bad for a couple of years!

The food is surprisingly good for a place that was known for its beer just a few years ago. Try the clamb and bacon pizza, mussels and the chicken wings.

Pro tip: dip the crust from your pizza in the liquor left in the mussel bowl. It's delicious.

I'm not a "craft beer " drinker, tend to gravitate towards molson Coors brands. But I have to say, the house lager is a damn fine beer! I've had it on tap at doolins pub in Litchfield, and the 16oz cans. It's very drinkable and tasty. Please get it on tap in more bars soon.

Cool brewpub and great space! I didn't have any brews that I didn't like. It was actually fun to go to a brewery with such a good lineup that my homebrew buddies and I could actually afford to be picky about our critiques of each brew because all of the fundamentals were there. Good food to complement.

Four and a half stars would be a fairer rating. I came with a group, and personally I had a great experience here. This is a great space - very open, love the long rustic communal tables. Our server had a great balance of casual/professional and was very attentive. Their Hoponius on Safari brew was one of the best beers I have tasted. They have a great cheese platter, and their chilli has a nice smoky overtone. Unfortunately others in my group weren't so keen on their fish tacos, so maybe there's inconsistency in the food.

although often overlooked in "best beer" conversations, jack's has been my favorite brewery since their original location. the beer hall offers great food and a wide variety of beer. their springdale barrel room next door is great if you've already had all the Jack's abby beers and really want to try something new

Great bar and beer hall. Very open space with a relaxed, community vibe. We ordered the Eggplant Parm Pizza along with the House Lager Bratwurst w/ spaetzle, sauerkraut and gruyere. Bratwurst was really tasty but burnt on one side. I had to Google what spaeztle was because I thought we were just eating burnt batter. Pizza not pictured because we crushed it; fresh tomatoes and excellent, chewy dough! Beers were delicious!

We were two people. Arrived there at 7:52, the host didn't allow us in saying their "policy" is to not allow people in after 7:45. Seriously? For 7 minutes? I checked their hours before going there and they close at 9:00... clearly they don't need customers (and money)...

Went for dinner and not only did we wait an hour for our food the server forgot to order food for 3 of the people at the table. So they sat there while we ate and we sat there while they ate. Service was horrible!! Also manager never came to the table to apologize for the horrible service! Never again!!

We didn't even get a chance to order. For my birthday my boys wanted to take me out and I chose Jack's Abby. I thought we would be ok getting there by 5:15 on a Saturday evening but I was wrong. Place was packed. Sign at the front said "Please seat yourself" so we walked in it and found one empty spot for the four of us us in the middle of a long table. So we sat down. No sooner than that a waiter came over to check on the group next to us. He then proceeded to tell us we couldn't sit there because the other group at this table was expecting 4 more people. When I advised him there was no reserved sign there he said "that's what all the bags on the table are for" What? Seriously? What is this ?Middle School? How ridiculous! We left and went elsewhere! I will NEVER go there again. I will also be posting elsewhere.

Great family friendly brewery. By walking in, I would have imagined I was in a microbrew in Denver or Portland because the vibe and character was just the same. You can come here with some friends and put back a few brews, or come with your family and enjoy some beers and food off the tasty menu. Weekend day times tend to be peak business, so may not find a seat right away, but it shouldn t be a long wait for you to find somewhere to sit. I d definitely come back again.

Travelers from out of country beware - I pulled out 3 pieces of government-issued photo ID (from BC, Canada) and was refused service as they wanted to see my passport regardless. If you plan on coming here, bring your passport even if your government recommends against carrying it around while traveling.
