15 stars at least! My favorite museum in the world, there are from all eras, it exposes the most beautiful carravage, and Monday is free (attention on Monday is open only 4 hours and it takes at least 2 hours of visit)

Do you only have one day to be in Madrid? This is the ideal museum, the most orderly, technological, careful ... yes, do not even think about going to the cafeteria (abroad). Bad service and prices of armed robbery. For the money of a coffee you can snack in a much more pleasant place.

What a wonderful Museum. For those who are not into art and art galleries it is a great starting point. It will not overwhelm you like the Prado or confuse you like the Reina Sofia. My friends weren't into art and this was the Museum they enjoyed the most out of the three. Great permanent collection and lovely temporary exhibits.

Impressionist works that were surprisingly large, and pictures that are comparable to Prado. Special exhibitions were also worth watching. The atmosphere of the exhibition hall in pastel colors is also different. It is too hard to view all the pictures, so it is recommended to watch them in the middle of the cafe.

Absolutely awesome. Enormous place, easy to get lost. Lots of religious paintings. Don't miss Dauphine's Treasure whatever you do. ID needed for seniors which is cheaper. No queues when I went at 3.30pm weekday.

I loved having visited this museum, in which I was surprised by the variety of artists and movements that comprise its permanent collection.
The building is spectacular and the tour of the different spaces is very well set up.
For those who do not want to pay the entrance, I recommend going on Mondays, from 12:00 to 16:00, access to the permanent collection is free.

Modern museum Wide variety of artists. First level temporary exhibitions. Merchandising store of great quality and variety. Undoubtedly, a mandatory point of cultural visit in the capital of Madrid.

Life gives you surprises. And it gave me a very nice one, when I decided to move walking, from the door of the sun to the Atocha station in Madrid, to take the train to Alicante. When I went through the door of the Thyssen National Museum, I read a sign saying: Monday, November 12, 2018, free admission. I looked at the clock and thought it was a unique opportunity. I made the respective row for the wardrobe and left my suitcase and coat. The staff very attentive and advanced very fast. Then I hurried up and although my time was pressing, I was amazed when I arrived at the room where Van Gogh's works were exhibited, and I could not resist the desire to photograph the painting of Pierre-Auguste Renoir Woman with umbrella in a garden. Believe me when I say that I felt that I could leave the Museum and resume my trip to Alicante, but with the feeling of joy that you get when you receive a very large and very beautiful gift. Hopefully nobody will miss visiting the temporary exhibition of the month of November 2018 at the Thyssen National Museum in Madrid. Sure you will love it.

A great place for tourism and culture.
There are paintings with great history with very significant authors in the world of art.
If you like art and history, it is a beautiful place to visit in the middle of Madrid, and where you can spend a very pleasant time.
Also, in case you didn't know, with the Mutual you and your companion get free. A luxury!

Good place to enjoy art. It is very well suited and the visit is bearable.
What I didn't like was paying part for a non-permanent exhibition, when most of the paintings in the exhibition belong to the permanent one. An ugly detail.

Had be looking forward to lunch here after our museum visit. Terrible experience. We were ignored for over 25 minutes before some brought the right menu (inside restaurant has different menu from terrace one). Go to a Different place. Not worth ruining the museum experience with the subpar service offered here. And skip the sandwiches are nothing to write home about.

No doubt you have to visit it and see the works. It houses a lot of flamenco style. They have toilets on all floors and everything is very well signposted. They allow you to take photos without flash.

Very good. It is advisable to get tickets in advance so as not to wait at the Box Office. Buying the General 13 ticket you have access to all the collections and the Rembrandt Room. Paying 5 more you have the audio guide service.

Interesting to find some works by Edward Munch (In particular, the geese in an orchard in person is 1000 times better), Van Gogh, Manet, Degas's dancers, the Rembrandt collection. I had a great time with my son, Thank you

The main collection is beautiful, it has a bit of every art period and some very famous painting. The visit is well organized but if u get tired easily ( it took us almost 2h ) make sure to visit the first floor ( planterreno ).
If u get to visit the Picasso and Touluse Lautrec exibision even better!
