I love it. Its temporary exhibitions are interesting and the fixed collection very interesting. I recommend it.

Shameful as they organize visits with a guide. It turns out that you have to reserve and pay 72 hours in advance and the Museum gives you the time. Then you arrive and if two groups come together they give priority to the most numerous. Result: who has entered after does not have time to see the entire exhibition. Where I was going I had an hour at 5:30; as the group that went ahead has been entertained and they did not let us go to the next room until they did not leave, they closed the museum before we got to the last room of the Beckmann storm. Bad very bad.
Nice and extensive collection of European and North American paintings. No so crowded as the Prado, but not so much Spanish art either.
We came here to see a painting from Dali' that was supposed to be in the museum, and disappointingly they removed it...without putting any advice about it.
Really bad, I do not suggest.
excellent complete good courses lectures exhibitions comfort in the barbuenos products
A jewel of Madrid. A fantastic journey through art that will surprise you. Nice cafe too
Very well organized museum with an enjoyable journey, its chronological sequence allows us to appreciate the state of the art starting with its upper floor with the thirteenth century until reaching the ground floor More
It was a very pleasant experience to be able to enjoy this museum. We attend on a Monday, it has a free schedule, and we rent the audio guide ( 5). The gallery is very varied and divided into sections according to the style of the works.
Great museum. Works from the fourteenth century. Essential paintings in the history of universal art.
Some interesting works according to the periods we like ...
Excellent museum You should not miss visiting when you come to Madrid
A museum with a truly impressive society and it is a pride that is in Spain is private collection you can see pictures of the largest and a collection of truly large American art a joy in addition with the young card you enter for free besides the temporary exhibitions are great
Precious ... recommended to you that are not museum enthusiasts ... because it has a size that can be addressed in a couple of hours. Nagnifica works organized chronologically. Realism Impressionism and post-impressionism very well represented. And what a cafeteria .. !!!!!
Interesting collection of minor works by secondary artists ...
I think it's a great museum, because of its size, neither large nor small, and because of the careful detail. I also consider that the traveling exhibitions that it brings, bring together different artistic disciplines in perfect conjunction. Now there is the Balenciaga one that I recommend 100%, in its entirety and please, do not miss the video of the end of it. Brook
It is oxymoronic to assure that the simplicity of the comment is intrinsic to the complexity of the thought, but it is impossible to see it otherwise.
This statement is one of the most complex works of the present decade, intricate and well-written lyrics, evoking the simplest stories
in the most extraordinary way.
Excellent. The audio guide covers the entire museum explaining each room in general and some works in particular, for 5 for me really worth it. Arriving from the free admission schedule gives you time to go through it well.
Museum in Madrid, houses a small collection with very famous works. It is not very big, but among the most beautiful in Madrid.
A nice place and very well preserved, I went with my mother to see Renoir's exhibition
Seeing art makes you great. And better almost alone one day every day
From medieval period works to modern works, you can conveniently watch according to the flow of each period. The spectrum of authors is wide enough to get at least one favorite writer from anyone like Rubens, Rembrandt, Renoir, Monet, Manet, Degas, Gogh, Gauguin, Matisse, Dali and Liechtenstein! Pros are quieter than museums, so you can enjoy them comfortably. The Korean audio guide is also well done by period, so please borrow it. Please note that when borrowing an audio guide, you must get an ID. (Korean identification card also available)
I went to a free day
Without a common interest in art galleries
You can explore for free, cool drawings on the walls. Overall, I recommend!
While Madrid has more impressive art museums, that is only because it has some of the best in the world. The Thyssen is a must see for art lovers, especially if you like impressionists, and a worthwhile visit for everyone save for people with no interest in art. The mesuem is laid out in an easy to follow chronological order from top to bottom. There are elevators in convenient spots and bathrooms on each floor. Though I didn't use them, I saw signs for a coat check and bag storage, which is nice when your out all day and have a backpack and/or heavy coat.
Spectacular, wonderful works of art, a place impossible to forget, from the Gernica to the Van Gogh ...
Such a great collection, I loved being able to walk through the centuries of art all in chronological order
Exhibitions always interesting. The boutique with expensive but beautiful crafts.
An absolutely amazing gallery with an extensive collection already over several, open and bright levels. So many great masters and masterpieces on display. Pre-purchased tickets but there really was no need to - not even a queue to contend with. Make sure you explore the upper levels first because the ground level actually leads you to the exit
A wonderful permante collection, mgnifica private collection of the "baroness" and very good temporary exhibitions.
A great museum, with an impressive pictorial collection. It is much bigger than I expected. 100% recommended
The Thyssen Bornemisza is a private museum where you will enjoy the works and paintings of most known world painters. Actually there is a very nice retrospective of impressionist you can miss. Most of the works came over from France and the State.
Very good and fun museum with great different art, from modern and medieval days alike.
Magnificent private painting collection, of the best internationally
Beautiful exhibition. Easy to get around without getting lost.
Actually I loved most of the museum, the only thing I have to say is that we went to the Rembrandt exhibition and there were hardly any of his paintings ... There were three or four at the most, the rest were by authors from the same period. I did not see the point of selling the exhibition as if it were only by Rembrandt, call it "Rembrandt and friends" or "three paintings by Rembrandt and 40 other artists" and we will be able to decide whether we are going to see it or not
Essential for fans of contemporary painting. One of the best in the world for its permanent collection. It also organizes temporary exhibitions, generally of great quality. A luck to be able to enjoy it in Madrid. Must visit at least once a year.
Wonderful permanent collection, not short not long.
Visiting this museum is always a great experience, from the permanent exhibition, even temporary, all are fantastic. The last we visited, was, "The Impressionists and photography". !Wonderful!
Magnificent. The permanent collection includes works of all kinds. The section of impressionists and extraordinary avant-garde. Appointment. Hygiene measures. A delight as always.
A museum of adequate size to visit in a morning (about 1000 works), that gives to see the evolution of the history of the painting through the centuries. We love it.
Excellent museum with private collections of baroness exhibited in the main halls.Memorial show, Monet and Boudin.
Restaurant, shops ... Must visit
So many masterpieces in here. Must have 2 and more hours for everything inside
Was really good. Keep an eye out for the free entry times
It becomes heavy of how big it is. Too much art related to the church
The Thyssen is a spectacular museum, with a magnificent art gallery on par with the best museums in the world. It is one of the must-see cultural visits in Madrid (along with the Prado Museum).
Located on the Paseo del Prado, between the Neptune and Cybele fountains, the Thyssen offers a high-quality permanent collection, highlighting above all the Italian and Dutch schools; impressionism and post-impressionism and where we can also see a good exhibition of cubism, abstraction, surrealism and pop art. In addition, there is usually almost always a temporary exhibition (see the museum's website).
UNTIL AUGUST 30 there is a very interesting Rembrandt exhibition.
Highly recommended !!
The entrance costs 13. A complete and quiet visit lasts around 2-3 hours.
Schedule:
-Monday (12-16pm -> free)
-Tuesday to Sunday (10 am-7pm)
Without a doubt, a fabulous museum that is well worth a visit by art and painting lovers.
A precious museum and temporary exhibition. Too much capacity allowed is the only fault I can put. Wonderful as always
Very good experience in the museum a lot of great piece of art, well organized and really big. It's free on Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m.
Museum of Madrid that exposes one of the most important private collections in the world. Great exhibition of Dutch, Italian and Impressionist paintings. They are two floors of museum and there are works of universal artists: Tiziano, Giotto, Rafael, Van Eyck, El Greco, Goya, Murillo, Ribera, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cezane, Monet, Picasso ... I encourage you to visit, it's a luxury
A museum that surprises and have the good sense to let you take pictures
Well organized, not too big so manageable in a single visit, though obviously worrh going back for more detail. Decent cafe for rest whem you need a break. Though lacking a number of major painters, this is a good way to get an overall via of the evolution of Western art...
Great temporary exhibitions and a very interesting collection. Something new is always discovered
I loved the whole works on the main floor. The free Monday from 12 to 16 great!
The magnificent temporary exhibition and the incredible permanent collection. A luxury in Madrid together with the Prado museum
Really good. Temporary exhibition on the rebirth in Venice
Our expectations were set a little higher after visiting the Thyssen Museum in Malaga, Spain which is probably the best art museum I have visited to-date. This museum pales next to its sister museum. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the visit.
It is worth noting this museum, which is entertaining. The information staff is very nice and is ready to help and solve any problems that may arise. The best and most enjoyable thing was the lower part of the building. That section is very special.
It is the third visit I have made to the museum in the last two years. It is an exceptional museum, with a very complete chronological tour and a good collection of masterpieces. It is the perfect complement to the Prado.
One of my favorite visits to museums in Madrid. Custom-made. Be sure to take the audio guide. Remember to have a cocktail on the terrace in front of the Museum.
It is an excellent collection. But it would be nice to be able to divide the visit into two. In other words, a ticket that allows you to visit twice or more times. The collection is very extensive.
Good collection and exceptional temporary exhibitions
The Tyssen permanent is unmissable. A collection of works worthy of a great national museum.
Fundación Colección Thyssen-Bornemisza: A Museum of Art and Culture
The Fundación Colección Thyssen-Bornemisza is a museum located in Madrid, Spain. It is one of the most important art museums in the world, with a collection that spans from the 13th century to contemporary art. The museum was founded by Baron Hans Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza and his wife Carmen Cervera in 1988.
The museum's collection includes over 1,000 works of art, including paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts. The collection is divided into seven different sections: Early Italian Painting; German Renaissance and Baroque Painting; Dutch Painting; Flemish Painting; English Painting; French Painting; and American Art.
One of the highlights of the museum's collection is its impressive display of Impressionist paintings. The museum has an extensive collection of works by artists such as Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, and Vincent van Gogh.
In addition to its permanent collection, the Fundación Colección Thyssen-Bornemisza also hosts temporary exhibitions throughout the year. These exhibitions showcase works from other museums around the world or focus on specific themes or artists.
The Fundación Colección Thyssen-Bornemisza is located on Paseo del Prado in Madrid. This area is known as "Paseo del Arte" because it houses three major museums: El Museo Nacional del Prado (the National Museum), El Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (the Reina Sofia Art Center), and El Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza (the National Museum).
Visitors can purchase tickets online or at the museum's ticket office. Guided tours are available for groups or individuals who want to learn more about specific aspects of the museum's collections.
Overall, if you're looking for an immersive experience into Spanish culture through art history then look no further than Fundación Colección Thyssen-Bornemisza!
