Ok museum with private collection. No top top pieces. But definitely worth it
Ok museum with private collection. No top top pieces. But definitely worth it
Wonderful area to walk, without noise and full nature
I love impressionism and contemporary art and this museum really exceeded my expectations, Van gogh, Monet, Picasso ... Very complete !!
Beautiful museum with arguably the best gift shop of the big museums in Madrid. There was a gorgeous Renoir exhibit when we visited that made the trip worth it. It's centrally located next to the Prado and a number of touristy landmarks.
They always have wonderful temporary exhibitions !!! Victor Vasarely's was amazing
Spectacular, the next time I start at the bottom and step from the sacred art, the collection of carmen thyssen is great!
A marvel. Who likes the art galleries should not stop going to this museum.
Nice museum, but lots of second and third tier paintings of first tier artists plus many From second and third tier German artists.
Good museum, except that many large works are not exposed, due to restorations or loans to other museums.
Excellent painting collection of yesterday and today.
Good organization, innumerable amount of works of art, three floors of exhibition ..
Private collection with excellent paintings. Room 32 gathers the best Impressionists.
My favorite museum in Madrid. The temporary exhibitions commissioned, the best!
I speak as someone who has no idea of art, go ahead, but I loved it. The art collection is very varied taking from old works (I'm not going to play with dates, obviously), until pictures of just a few years ago. For someone who doesn't know anything about anything, it's a good option, because with so much variety you don't get to saturate yourself with a style (I'm so donkey that in other museums in the end they all seem the same).
We went to see the representation of Balenciaga is a wonder the only thing you do not ask for in the cafeteria is a coffee because you pay 2.50 euros for coffee at the bar so if you take it at the table you stay in pledge
Very good exhibitions, we went to see Balthus and great!
It is always a great experience to come to this museum. This is my fifth visit in three years and it surely won't be the last. On this occasion I write to congratulate the great organization for the Louis Vuitton exhibition. Free admission and guided tour through the various symbols of the maison. Highly recommended for lovers of fashion, art, good taste and great experiences.
It is very close to the Prado Museum. Recommended to include in the program visit both museums
Amazing art collection. Beautiful building. Very nice and pleasant environment to drink or eat after visiting the museum.
The Museum of acceptable dimensions with fixed and itinerant exhibitions more than acceptable
Also, when the weather is nice, outside terrace is very nice, where you can even eat
It is incredible how large it is and the magnitude of the collection, we only had time to visit the 2nd floor and in approximately two and a half hours, the 1st floor we could not see it because the closing time came upon us. We will come back and put pictures.
Beautiful, if the Ticino people have snobbed it, the people of Madrid have been able to welcome this great opportunity
It is very beautiful and with great paintings and works of art by great painters
One of the best painting collections I have ever visited
This is a very vibrant, well-balanced art museum that anyone can enjoy with ease, We visited on a couples journey to Madrid and while some of us knew about most painters on the museum, the rest of us didn't, all of us could get a sense of worthiness in the entire exposition.
A little of everything, from the contemporary to the seventeenth century very beautiful!
The experience was great, accompanied by very good company. The workshop I attended was very good, I recommend attending the workshops.
Temporary exhibition very well presented and chosen. Valenciana and our painters.
It is the third or fourth time I visit, today for the temporary exhibition of Renoir, and I always leave with the feeling that it is very expensive for what they exhibit. Most staff pleasant little. I'll think about it before returning ...
I thought it was better than the prado! Somewhat smaller, more concise and more variation on themes. You may also take pictures and may be more visible.
Beautiful area. Collection very well developed. Small plus a cafeteria restaurant with nice terrace
Free on Mondays. Excellent collection. Exhibits go from oldest on the second floor to the most recent on the ground floor. An opera singer performed during our visit, and it was amazing to look at art while opera songs echoed the halls.
Beautiful the second floor, between caravaggio, bernini, and all the other artists. The rest is negligible
To think that this treasure was private ..... fortunately it returned to the ownership of the municipality of Madrid, absolutely not to be missed.
Super collection. Amazing sample of the history of art. Museum on a human scale. Everyone will find his account. Awesome! In addition at this moment expo vasarely! Superb! Recommended for children and neophytes!
Large interest on, a collection of paintings. Many impressionists.
The impressive museum. The exhibition of Balenciaga a success, which encourages young artists to investigate the history of art psra their creations.
We have seen a very interesting exhibition and it is a beautiful museum
I loved some paintings in addition to beautiful of incalculable value
It's FREE ON MONDAYS! Very nice museum of medieval to contemporary art. It is right in front of el Prado so one could actually do both easily in the same day. Just be careful if you go on the free day it might get packed. I liked the fact that there is a wide set of paintings from a wide set of historical periods. From the 1500 to the 2000. The arrangement does not always follow the evolution of time which make it sometimes a little confusing but overall very enjoyable!
Quick visit to see a temporary exhibition that I liked a lot.
A large permanent art collection with temporary exhibitions very well assembled and a shop with all kinds of gift items related to the art world.
The museum well, although I had an answer border on the part of a watchful woman when asking if a concrete work of that room was exposed.
Excellent collection of art in many of its historical stages. Specifically, I recommend the neoclassic, romantic and impressionist rooms, they are a luxury. Since I am a renegade of modern art, I prefer not to share my opinion about the Renaissance and Baroque. For lps that have a young transport card, the entrance is free, run crazy!
Came for a special exhibition but the entire museum is wonderful. Make sure you set aside ample time to tour the entire museum. Not quite as huge as the Prado, but still need more than an hour or so. Loved our visit!
Each exhibition they bring is better than the previous one and the facilities are unique.
Loved this museum. It s free on Mondays. Make sure you get there before noon because the line to get is very long. But it s worth it.
I can see the flow of Western art in 3-4 hours.
A place where people who do not like art in various collections can enjoy enough.
It is a joy.
Wonderful, sublime, lovely. I have no words, I'm ecstatic
A wonderful museum to visit in the heart of Madrid!
Great art collection. Temporary exhibitions are good but not as much as they could.
Very pleasant museum with a wealth of old masters. Very nice light. Lovely restaurant, also outside terraces.
The works are very varied. Easy path to follow and without invasions of people
Extraordinary painting museum, with an important journey through the history of this artistic discipline, spanning from the Middle Ages to the present day. Excellent location in the center of Madrid, and a short distance from its other two top-notch European art galleries.
I need to watch at least one day.
Wonderful works of all time
If you like art, you have to see his paintings. The traveling exhibitions are very interesting
In Madrid there are three of the most important museums in the world. The Prado museum, the thyssen museum and the Reina Sofia. Failing to visit one of these three fantastic museums, certainly means having to return to Madrid.
Excellent museum, both in classical works, as in modern and contemporary. The temporary show "More than human", excels. Museum that if you can, keep seeing in Madrid.
I have always loved being a teacher ... I recommend it and this last exhibition of the suit has seemed great and very well set ...
This gallery museum has arguably the best painting private collection in Spain and definitely one of the best in the world. You will find works from the middle ages by old European masters to those created by some of the most famous 20th century American painters. If you want to enjoy your visit and admire the amazing collections of this museum, avoid visiting it during public holidays, weekends, long weekends or the summer months if you can. Just like the Prado Museum, this place can get unbearably crowded by hords of people looking to capture the perfect selfie rather than admiring and letting others admire the works of art.
Very complete and interesting. With fewer people than in the Prado, which makes the experience more enjoyable.
It is larger than it looks and is perfectly arranged by eras.
It must be wonderful to live in a place like that
Beautiful Museum. The permanent collection is a luxury. We went to see the temporary sample of Balthus which is excellent. We recommend it
The itinerary of the permanent exhibition, organized chronologically, makes it special
Because it has a lot of impressionist paintings that I love, it is very well located, very well organized and every time you can discover new paintings that in a single day you cannot appreciate them
A highly recommended place, always interesting with all its exhibitions and its fixed content
Private collection where you find well-known paintings that I did not know were here
Beautiful museum with great collection. Mandatory itinerary for those who enjoy appreciating works of art.
Beautiful museum, private collection full of works from many periods in a large and perfectly maintained structure
Unmissable: Picasso Pisarro Mondrian Rothko Kandinsky Rembrandt Monet Manet Miro Dali Bacon Toulouse-Letrec Gaugin O'Keefe Hopper Lichtenstein ... One of the most amazing collections in the world
The beautiful Palacio de Villahermosa, together with the best works of art from past centuries and modernists. Excellent the private collection of Baroness Thyssen. And temporary collections such as Balenciaga. Along with the Prado, the best museum of art history in Spain.
