Couldn't be happier with how fast and efficient the company was from coming out giving an estimate, getting us on the schedule, and the actual work. So pleased with FSM!

I just signed off on a quote for some work to be done by Dan for a sump pump installation on my crawlspace & after several quotes, while not the lowest cost, I feel the combination of having Dan as the actual installer and his obvious expertise and enthusiasm in completing this task make this an sound investment & one I'm looking forward to completing. Will post a follow-up review after the work is completed but so far after the initial meeting, the professionalism that was exhibited has been top shelf.

Couldn't be happier with the service we received. We called FSM due for some concerns we had with our home. The service rep came out and evaluated everything and assured us everything was fine. This company is honest and professional and will not try to sell you a service you do not need. If we ever run into a foundation issue, this is the first place we will be calling!

We had our crawl space encapsulated and there just seemed to be a constant disconnect in communication. The job was completed and everything works, but what I got from the salesman is not the same as what was finished. One example, we have a fan now that constantly runs to circulate air in the crawl space. My understanding from sales was that it would only run when needed , and you wouldn t even notice it when it is on , both are false. Also crawl space doors are not included in the crawl space encapsulation which is crazy to me. Because if the door doesn t work properly the crawl space isn t encapsulated. Worksmanship is top notch; communication between sales and the actual company is terrible in my opinion. I would probably give higher stars if they didn t present themselves as the best in the business , you re paying for the best you should have solid communication between sales and workers. Also read and reread and read again the contract before you sign it. If you ever have an issue that s what they pull up first. It s all costumer service until it costs them money.

We had a terrible problem with water in the lower-level room of our tri-level house. FSM came out - understood and explained the problem and fix. Their team came in and did an amazing repair job. They were courteous, efficient, conscientious, and a pleasure to have working in our house. The job was done right and they cleaned up the area totally afterwards. The salesperson, and the inside customer contact person were both professional and entirely attentive to our concerns and requests. I highly recommend FSM!

Do not even consider another company! FSM was phenomenal! Russell, the salesman, was experienced and honest, Alex, the Crew Chief, was a godsend, literally averting a pop up disaster, and Valerie, our customer service liason, went above and beyond. I could not be more ecstatic about the quality of work completed nor the professionalism displayed during. Thank you, FSM!

It Took Months to get them to do the work once I gave them my deposit.
They said Covid had them backed up.
They did show up on the day they said they would.

After 2 weeks the basement leaks.
The salesman said 100% it wouldn't.

They came out 2 weeks later and confirmed it needed more work.
Gave me a date of October 30. Almost 2 months later to fix
what should have been done right the 1st time.
Seems to me for 16K warranty works should go to the top of the list.

basement is staying dry but after 31 days they finally got the underground pipe filled in. They left a mound of dirt about 10 inches tall in the middle of the yard. A lawn mower wont even come close to going over it. Also left cement on the driveway and cement footprints down our new paver walkway. Pictures hardly show the extent. Said they would come to clean it about 3 weeks ago. Never did. Not very happy and certainly would not recommend them. On top of that they hit a sprinkler line which they say they are not responsible for. That should be a few more hundred to get fixed. They called to let me know and when I asked them to at least mark the spot where the line was broke they said they would mark it with a flag. They did not even do that. One star service all the way.
Edit: There was recant code changes and the mound supposed to settle in time but I doubt it will that much. My neighbor had his done a month earlier and you cant even tell where it was. Mine I highly doubt will be the case. They were on time and done with the main messy work quickly. Just the code stuff taking a month therefore killing my grass and this mound of dirt and the mess on driveway and sidewalk really should not have been an issue.

I had a great experience with FSM, very few complaints (if any!). The salesman was very professional and provided a lot of information regarding the work that they do and what was needed in my home. When the team showed up to actually do the work, they were EXTREMELY nice, informative, and clean. As a matter of fact, there was a marketing guy who tagged along and asked to film the process for use on their website or internal training. He had proposed giving us a $50 gift card to do so, we agreed with no hesitations. He later followed up to see if we had any requests on what kind of card we wanted (restaurant, store, etc.). Surprisingly... we never received a gift card. People get busy, we didn't feel especially wronged. Oh Well.

The work has held up great and I'm happy to have addressed the issue. (unfortunately) I need to call FSM soon to get another wall in my basement done, as it has moved since having the salesman out for the two other walls that were initially needing work. But I will definitely be calling them to do the work as opposed to any other company.

FSM installed a french drain and sump pump system in my basement as I have issues with high ground water. The basement is now dry and the system is operating well. I'm so thankful for FSM's work and to have a dry basement!

I highly recommend Foundation Systems of Michigan. All of their employees were very professional and their work was excellent. They arrived for all appointments right on time and did everything they said they would do. The actual foundation work was done efficiently and the work area was left very clean when they were done. Excellent effort for a fair price!

Extremely happy with the work FSM did in our basement. They explained what they were going to do and even showed me what they did before they poured cement. They did an amazing job with the clean up!!

I have an addition on my house that was built over a crawl space and over the years I started noticing a musty smell during the summer months which of course was coming from the crawl space. I spoke with several contractors about a solution and chose FSM because of the technology that they use and they way that they explained my options. I was very impressd when salesman talked me out of some of the more expensive options that I thought I needed. The installation staff was amazing as well and accomplished in a few hours what I thought would take the majority of the day. In the process of hooking up the ventilation fan they discovered a problem with my circuit breaker panel that they then fixed for free! This is by far one of the best service / installation companies that I have worked with!

If you have a small leak in your basement DO NOT call these guys. Their focus is not on your leak, but getting in your home to sell their entire system, which in our case was $13,500. The inspectors are sales people as well and will try to convince you how your home NEEDS their system. Our home was built in 1987, so if your home is 20 years or older beware!

We have already recommended them!! The previous homeowners destroyed our crawl space. Foundations came and cleaned it and insulated it. Our gas bill went down $100. They were professional and always kept great communication. They take care of their customers like family. One past customer said she would eat off the floor in the crawl space...I was skeptical but I have to totally agree! thank you!!!

Wonderful job, all staff made this project go smoothly from start to finish, great job done by everyone involved.

They were very professional. Arrived on time and it did not take all day but I was very impressed how the crack in the bricks had closed up to where we couldn't even see where it first cracked and everything was so leveled. Also the clean up was done so well that it doesn't even look like we had any work done, it only looks like we decided to pull up our shrubs for new landscaping. Awesome job and team.

From start to finish this company was great to work with. They were always quick to answer any question i had. FSM told me exactly what was wrong with my basement walls and what they needed to do to fix the water leak. The crew was on time and did a great job with the repair and cleaning up after themselves.

We had our crawlspace encapsulated and and the difference in the temperature in the home has been amazing. The crawl comes off the basement and has made a usable storage space for our seasonal items and there a zero odors from the crawl now. Great company and great products.

My experience with FSM was great. From the first contact all the way through to the completed work. I hired the company to clean crawl space and then encapsulate. This included sealing walls and floor, insulation and installing a sump pump system, fan and improved access entrance with new door. The work was spread across 3 consecutive days and took just over 20 hours. The crew worked hard, took pride in their work and kept property picked up from tools and debris each time before leaving.

I had an issue with water in my crawl space after a sump pump failure and called to have FSM to come and repair my crawl space which had previously been encapsulated with a vapor shield by another company. The lady I spoke with indicated that although I did not initially get my crawl space sealed by FSM, they could absolutely do the repair work. I waited over a month for an appointment. I left work to meet the tech, only for the tech to arrive and after reviewing the space, indicate that he can not do any repair due to the fact that FSM did not initially do the work, despite the initial rep indicating they could do the repair. He indicate they could replace the entire vapor shield with a new shield which they would install. This company is run by untruthful individuals who clearly are trying to sell you on a new product instead of doing the repair work they indicated they could do. I would avoid this company at all costs.

Horrible company! What was sold to me and what i was i was left with was two completely different things. Not only did my system fail less than 24 hours after completion but they then came back out to tell me that in order to do the job correctly it would cost additional money. They then "did me a favor" because it was "my problem" and left with water being pumped into my front yard, flooding my yard and drive way. Sevice Technicians were rude to not only myself but my wife when we asked simple questions to try to understand the problem and process. I went with this company because of the reviews I saw which I'm starting to believe are lies. I honestly feel that we were taken advantage of and since they finance company released the funds they had no intention at all on fixing or even doing the job they were paid for.

I had a terrible experience with FSM. During the original estimate to level my house, the technician never went into the crawlspace.
The first attempt to level was not successful and was basically told that it was the chance I took with the process.
Eventually had another contractor get involved. The work was redone. The team wrapped the liner around my water softener drain line which destroyed the water softener. Not only did I not receive an apology, the water softener was not replaced.
So, after approximately $10,000 worth of work, my house is sagging more than it was and I have to pay to replace my water softener.
In no way, shape or form would I ever recommend FSM.

I was extremely satisfied with the prompt & professional service experience I received from FSM. All staff members were courteous, knowledgeable and thorough. The technician who provided the initial assessment of repairs did so quickly and accurately and the technicians who performed the repairs were respectful and polite.

We hired them to do our sons crawl space which was my childhood home. They moved the 1st appointment wasn t. Big deal at the time, but they ve not shown up when they said they around and didn t respond to messages when they didn t show up. The first crew did a bad job in the crawl then put the dry well on the neighbours property which was going uphill and wouldn t have worked. The next crew came back to continue the job and were not happy with the job the first crew did. Now, the dry well pump that got moved back into the property where it should have been in the first place is full of water and our son has a pump in it drying it out. The left hand doesn t know what the right hand is doing. Very unprofessional and expensive. We had a friend recommend DSM but we wish we had gotten quotes and ratings before having this company do the job. They reschedule for the weekendA Iin August! Weddings and vacations planned and they expect people to be around for them after they reschedule multiple times. Not Impressed with the work they ve done so far and it s only halfway done. We have a friend that works for another company, we should have had them take on this job. Do yourself a favour, shop around and read reviews.

From sales to completion I was never left not knowing what was next nor where any staff or crew workers not on top of things. Crew workers new what they were doing not trying to figure it out as they go. It was pricey as the job included Anchors, powerbraces, inside drainage, sump pumps, poly lining and piers. The building inspector and plumbing inspector both complimented the quality of the work when they signed off which was comforting. Initially I went in knowing I would be potentially paying more than competitors but felt that FSM probably was a company that is more likely to be around in the future. I also looked at a coworkers job they did before comittting. Just was amazed at how well they new what they were doing.

We have used FSM for two different basement water issues. The inspectors are super knowledgeable and make great recommendations with cost in mind. The installation team was incredible. This type of work can be hard and messy, but everyone on the job was polite and very respectful of our home. They also coordinated everything with a tough City inspector. I am really happy with the work and highly recommend FSM!

There are two major factors that led to my choice of hiring FSM to address my housing repair needs. First, the people I was engaged with at FSM for the duration of my project from first review and inspection, the onsite crew and their interactions with me, to the job completion follow-up. The folks were top notch, genuine, caring, professional, and made such a positive impression that they really didn't have any competition. Second, was their exploration and explanation of my options to resolve my house repair needs. They didn't discard anything out of hand, took the time to talk to me about all my options and concerns, and presented what made the most sense for me and my house. FSM did an outstanding job and they are now my go-to company for any type of foundation work I may have going forward.

UPDATE: FSM came back out and corrected their work on June 10th, they arrived in the time frame that was given and worked fast to get the job done. I updated to 3 stars because I am cautiously optimistic but, so far so good. We have had allot of rain since the fixes and are bone dry and if this continues, I will again update my review again. Having said that, I have worked in customer service for 25 years and am still not 100% happy with that aspect of FSM. The original work cost allot of money and I even understand that things can go wrong and companies need to be given the chance to make things right if need be but, when you call and are treated as if you are not important to them (after they've already gotten their money) does not feel good so, I believe they could stand to work on that. I believe current customers with issues should always come first and schedule adjustments need to be made to service those people first. Each time my husband or father in law called, they felt blown off and unimportant and to be honest, my google review is, in my opinion, the only reason they called and came out so quickly and I don't feel it should come to that. I know the power of google reviews as again, I work in an industry that not only highly values reviews but, takes them very seriously so, I felt this may be the only way to escalate the issue and it seems I was correct. My message to FSM directly, take this as a learning experience and make some changes if necessary with your office staff, maybe a refresh on customer service skills is needed and I will gladly change my review in the future if all continues to go well and we remain dry.

If I could give zero stars....I would. Do not give them so much as a nickel. We had them out last spring and they were amazing to work with and got out here quick and guarantee no water for 25 years and if any water enters and is above their liner....they said they d come right out and cost of repairs on them...well, 3 weeks ago, we flooded and they did send someone out who told us it was done wrong from the beginning and that a pump needed to be moved and both pumps needed to be installed correctly as they were not snug and bounced around not to mention the fact that they are plugged into extension cords because nobody suggested that we put an electrical outlet in there a year ago when the work was done. That guy leaves and we call the office to set up for them to come out and they tell us the soonest is June 27th which at the time was well over a month away....since then...we flood every single time it rains now so, my husband calls again and whoever he spoke to today told him to call a plumber!!!!! Call a plumber for what???? They now say they can come Tuesday but I will not hold my breath. I put off the delivery of a new washer and drier for as long as I could and finally had to take delivery on this past Monday and we flooded again yesterday.....I will be consulting an attorney at this point and can t warn people enough to stay away from this company.

total ripoff. i wanted my house jacked up/leveled and they tried to sell me a $17k job. i declined. they show up to do the work and state "yeah, we don't guarantee leveling"...um, why not state that during your sales pitch when it was made clear that's what i wanted? oh i know, because they wanted the $4k they quoted me for the "smart jacks" (and even tried to sell me more for $900 ea. while performing the work). also, watch out for the credit company they use, "greensky"...they baited & switched me w/out warning or explanation. i was approved on-the-spot for 0%/48mos but when i got the confirmation in the mail, it was for 26%/48mos which would've damn near tripled the cost of the job itself; took over a week to get it resolved and switched back to what was agreed upon. high-pressure, shim-sham sales tactics. this company is a joke. my buddy wanted some simple work done and they quoted him over $40k. don't waste your time with these guys.

This is the company you want to go with if you find water in your basement. They are very professional and fair, and will work with you for as long as it takes to get your issues resolved.

I made an appointment for my garage floor estimate. Two days before the appointment they cancelled and said they couldn't help me. Don't waste your time with this company.

I can't say enough good things about FSM. From day 1, my Customer Experience Advocate, Meghan, was VERY helpful and professional. My inspector, Allan, went above and beyond and was very knowledgeable when it came to what my basement needed in order to be fixed properly. Alex and his installation crew were extremely friendly and did an excellent job waterproofing my basement. I HIGHLY recommend FSM to anyone who needs their basement waterproofed!

This was the most amazing home contracting experience we have ever had. We were referred to Foundation Systems of Michigan by a trusted friend.
At the initial appointment, we were so impressed with the presentation of the method, the surveying of our home, and the willingness to answer questions from both me and my husband. There was no pressure, and a honest recognition by the person presenting that this would be a big investment and shouldn't be pushed.
Once we committed to having the work done, we set the date and made the deposit. It was only a few days later when they offered an earlier install date than we originally got. We were thrilled.
Our friend was able to be there during the installation, and we were able to review the work a week later when we returned. It was exactly as promised, with no mess left behind. After every single rain, we love going to our basement door and peeking downstairs to see and feel a completely dry basement.

Epic failure. After over $16,000 worth of work on my basement.....it still flooded a foot deep after a heavy rain here in Hazel Park, Mi. I'm sure they'll say it was the sewers backing up that caused it, not the new sump pump failing to work. All the work done, for nothing. Entire basement flooded, ruined, everything lost. I hope and pray Foundation Systems will make this right, but I highly doubt it.

I recently left this company after working there only 3 days training as a "inspector/salesman". I gave up a lot to take the job ( long story but when I'm committed I make the necessary sacrifices ). The reason there are many negative reviews about the salesman is simple, it's in the company's culture and training ( and lack of ). The salesman are 100% commision. The trainer is a 24/7 tabacco-chewing, co-founder of the company named "Steve". Spent over 2 hours with homework on the night of the 2nd day of training to price out 20 different jobs based on a pricing legend that was apparently incorrect. First thing in the morning on the 3rd day of training Steve begins by scolding me and another trainee for missing a phone call the previous day after being dismissed for that day's training. The manner in which the scolding took place was so outrageous I had to stop for a minute and try to figure out if this bully was joking in some sick way. What I realized was I was being weeded-out because I looked foreign ( his behavior toward me over the previous two days was at times selective and unprofessional but tempered, and I dismissed it as someone who was having a bad day or was inconvenienced ). I quit immediately after being scolded like a 5 year old who did not make his bed, and Steve's response to the trainees was " see some of you are not strong enough to make it through the training program ". This company's salesforce has no females and zero diversity. The hypocritical boot-camp style training is the reason these and other trainees are indoctrinated from the beginning to be unprofessional, price-focused, and aggressive. What do you expect the result will be when they show up at your front door after three weeks of training by this bully and a culture of disrespect for their own people... a two-legged stool!!! I will post the company's canned response to any real feedback by any customer ( which is an indication of a lack of genuine empathy for their customers )...here it is...

The estimator did a good job in explaining the job what it would fix. The workers did a good job however have not finished and the follow-up has been a horrendous process in like pulling teeth to try and get them to come back out to finish the job and clean up after themselves so far I would not recommend because they have not completed the work but have gladly taken the payment as if they have very very sad and upset right now about this company and how they are lying about their work.

Nate was great to work with. Explained everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions. Steve O. and his crew were a pleasure to work with. They were quick, cleaned up, and really explained the work they did. Steve deserves a bonus or day off or something for his hard work. Great to work with. Easy clean up process. They put up a plastic wall so there was hardly any dust anywhere. I expected dust so to have ZERO dust was amazing! Great job. Alyssa our customer advocate was great and pleasant to speak to. Followed up with me several times. Overall very happy with the overall job! Now bring on spring to test it out.

The first day the crew was polite and thoughtful of our premises. The second day not so much. The crew was clumsy and was constantly dropping the heavy buckets on the floor shaking the house. I thought the buckets were going to fall through the floor. I am still waiting on the hole in the wall to be fixed. I had to clean up a couple spots of cement off my floor where it splashed out of the buckets when they dropped. I am not sure if I would recommend this company or not. If the whole crew from the first day came out both days then yes I would recommend them. If the second crew came both days then absolutely not. For what was done I think it was over priced but it was a lot of heavy lifting.

Update: I have since spoken to management and I asked them to please speak with all their crews regarding being courteous and conscientious when working in someone else s home so this won t happen to others. I will change my 2 star rating to a 5 star rating as long as this doesn t happen to other households.

The work completed (Repair of Crack in Basement Wall) was done much quicker than expected. They showed me the progress of the work as they completed each phase. The "protection" from the Dust generated was so well done, I couldn't tell they had cut a hole in the floor. I also loved that they covered my entire floor from the Front Door all the way to the Section being repaired in the Basement. Overall Job looked professional, and the Workers were polite and efficient. A Fantastic and Well Done Job.

Our basement has never been better! We received professional and quick service. It was so nice to have a rain storm and not worry about the basement leaking.

Alan Free performed the inspection for the repair of a crack that was leaking on the basement wall.
Alan was on time and very professional as well as friendly. He explained what my options were and we were able to determine a course of action.
I was very happy with his visit. Needless to say, I was stressed about finding the leaking crack in the wall.
I will post another review after the work is complete. That's when the "good quality" and "good value" buttons will be selected.

From the inspection to the financing options and the actual work, I was very happy with the entire process and would 100% recommend FSM to anyone looking into basement waterproofing!

Read your contract very, very carefully. There are hidden charges in there that you will not know about. Did you know that they charge you for removing debris that they make by waterproofing your crawlspace. That charge is from the crawl space to the driveway. Then you have to hire a dumpster for them to put the debris in. Good way to screw their customers!

They installed this system at my parents house. The quality of workmanship was sloppy and unprofessional.

I recently contracted FMS to handle our basement water issue. Moments after the job began they realized there was a separate issue that would need to be taken care of prior to them continuing. I had voids under my concrete floor. This put a stop on the project and was very discouraging. After calling around to multiple companies the whole next day, trying to figure out a solution to the new issue. Nate, the regional manager from FSM reached out and asked to come see the basement. He came out that night and walked me through what he would recommend. It was something his crew would be able to fix without additional cost to me. He was very professional and very thorough explaining the new plan. We were very pleased by his prompt response and willingness to work with us. The original crew who showed up to start was also very informative and professional as well. Sadly due to unseen circumstances we could not move forward with the project. Regardless of this, I would recommend this company and hopefully do get the chance in the future to finish the job with them.

The crew was out at my house 11/19 and 11/20 and did an exceptional job with my foundation work. They were thorough, on time and friendly. I am very happy with the work done by Foundation Systems of Michigan. We had a great experience from the initial visit by FSM. Nate was very knowledgeable and was great at explaining the process and what would be provided. The installation crew, John, Ron and David were on time, professional, and very friendly. They did great work and I can't recommend them enough! I am a very satisfied customer.

I was very pleased with the ease and flexibility of FSM. We had them quote a very large job initially but had to change to just crawlspace encapsulation. The crew was attentive and clear with the work they performed. When we are ready for the big part of the job. They will get it.

We live on Lake Huron, and as you can imagine, it's a wet and humid environment. We had our crawl space encapsulated by FSM last year and they did a great job. This year we added a dehumidifier. Dan came out to inspect our crawl space encapsulation and sump pump, and recommended an dehumidifier to replace the one I was using

Salesman was super aggressive, asked to see my phone, and when I handed it to him, he started the credit check process to get me financed, when we never even said yes to the service or quote. Shady. Fast forward to a few months after, I spoke to a nurse at my Dr office, as well as two of my coworkers who all shared their FSM horror stories. I went with a different company, got excellent service, paid less, and got more for what I paid...as well as peace of mind that my crawlspace was encapsulated well, with a tailor fit solution to my home's needs, and by a local company that stands behind their workmanship...A company that was respectful of me, my home, and didn't try aggressive closing tactics to strong-arm us into committing. Yikes, we really dodged a bullet there...glad we are not timid people and were able to say no. We were planning on paying cash anyway...but the salesman never asked.

The whole process working with them hasn't been an easy process by any means. I've had a few problems but in the end they have taken care of them all.

Foundation Systems of Michigan did an outstanding job on our basement. From the time they came and gave us a quote until they came to do the work the process was very smooth. Everyone we spoke to was very knowledgeable and took time to answer all our questions. On the day of the install the three crew members who came worked super efficiently. They made sure our home area where they walked though was kept clean by placing plastic sheeting down. They finished the job in one day and left the area cleaner than they found it. They made sure everything in our basement was covered and we have a lot down there to cover. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with FSM. I would highly recommend their services to anyone.

The work we have contracted for is scheduled to be performed in early August, but I wanted to write this review now to comment on the Sales process thus far. I filled out the web form for a free consultation last week. Within an hour, the office called to schedule my appointment, qualified that I was the home owner and therefor the decision maker, and scheduled the appointment at the date and time requested. I received 2 appointment confirmation phone calls and one confirmation text prior to today. The inspector, Jeff Mullins, called 10 minutes before the scheduled appointment time to let me know he was on his way, but running a few minutes late, which I greatly appreciated. Jeff arrived, reviewed our situation , took measurements and pictures, and explained in detail the root cause of the problem and how to remediate it.. Never at anytime did we feel pressured. He explained the work, our options, as well as financing options. We are very comfortable with our decision to use FSM, and look forward to the work being completed.

We recently hired Foundation Systems of Michigan for a crack in our foundation. The salesperson was very nice, thorough and was not pushy. After the consultation, we felt very comfortable hiring FSM for the job. The day of the job, I was happy that the crew was right on time. The crew was also very friendly and did a great job. Overall we were very happy. I highly recommend this company.

Our crawl space was bad, insulation hanging down, dirt smelly floor, and lots of dust in the house. The gentleman from Foundation Systems showed us how they would make our crawl space better. As you can see by the photos of before and after it is a big change. We no longer have the smell from the crawl space, the dust in the house is a lot better and our energy bill is a lot lower. When, the work crew came for the insulation, they explained about how long it would take and how and what they were going to do. All the old insulation was bagged up for us , and the crew did a good job, and we had no clean up afterwards. The employees for Foundation Systems are very professional and I have recommenced them to our friends. We are very satisfied with Foundation Systems.

To start - we had a quote. Clay was an absolute DREAM! He arrived on time, was professional and extremely knowledgeable. He was caring and explained all of our options in depth. I was blown away by how much time he took to really make sure we understood.

After we decided to move forward with the process we were assigned a Customer Service Rep who was out point of contact throughout the process. We were assigned Lynn. Lynn is an absolute ANGEL! She was SO helpful and kind. I was so blown away by the whole process, and Lynn was there for every step.

When it came to the day of the job - Our foreman Steven was kind and courteous. I feel bad I can't remember his partner who was helping him, but both gentleman were knowledgeable! They worked quickly and efficiently and even let my husband and I ask questions and watch! Steven really seemed confident in what he was doing and did a great job of explaining the process. Our crew was amazing! The house was cleaner after they left than when they came in! Steven went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure that we understood how to address any after care.

Overall- I am so happy we chose Foundation Systems of Michigan, this is the best experience I have ever had with any company - hands down. EVERY single employee I encountered, from the young lady who answered the phone to the last person I spoke with was kind, patient and knowledgable.

I didn t even have work done but I couldn t get a written quote to save my life. Jason came out for a free estimate to repair the structure of my crawlspace. He verbally quoted me a price and said I didn t need a written quote. I thought about it later and decided I needed and wanted to have one. At the very least it s the professional thing to do. I texted Jason 3 times and he didn t respond. I talked to Corey at the office and he said he would talk to Jason and get one over to me. Almost a week later, nothing. If they can t get something as simple as a quote to me, there s no way I am going to trust them with the foundation repairs. I should have dismissed them when he said I didn t need a written quote. Looking back, that was a big red flag. Very unprofessional and disappointing!

The salesman was great, installation went smooth and they protected and cleaned as I expected. However, the aftersales has been not so great. Within a few months my new sump pump developed an issue. I called and spoke with Mike in service and he agreed to replace the unit under warranty. I had to delay the service due to my schedule. Six weeks later I was able to schedule the service. We made an appointment (which had to be reseculed on their end.... no big problem). They did come and replace the pump per the new scheduled appointment. When finished they told me I would owe the $149.00 service call. Being that this was a new install and a failure of new equipment I disputed the charge. I was told that I had agreed to the charge when I made the appointment, which I definitely had not. The service tech made a call and they did waive the charge. I was told this was a one time waive. Ok fine....

So the service was done Friday morning. It is now the following Sunday. I arrived home to my sump alarm going off. I go down and review what is happening, and the same problem is happening again. The pump is turned on....the water in the sump well is churning and warm from the pump constantly being on.... but nothing is pumping out. Needless to say I m pretty disappointed.

Update:
After leaving a review a rep called early the next day and was willing to send someone out the next day to resolve. We made an appointment and the service technician (Dan and Joe) called and let me know they were ahead of schedule and could come earlier than expected if I was available. They arrived and assessed there was an issue with the discharge pipe where it would freeze and not allow the pump do it s job. They were professional trough the entire job. Very impressed with a company that handles problem resolution correctly. Thank you!

Terrible experiences with this company. Work quality was below average. Didn't send work order/invoice for warranty work after completion. Tech will come out and make statements they will not follow through on at time of work/install.

After a disappointing first experience, James came out and took great care of us and our situation.

We had a very good experience with FSM. From our sales person Dale to the Crew led by Lewis Tabone, everybody was very friendly, open honest and on time. The job was completed exactly as described and on the dates that they promised. I was very impressed with everyone involved. Thank you.

I called FSM to resolve a water issue under my basement floor. They took care of my issues in a timely and professional manner. I would recommend FSM, they stand behind their work.

SCAMMERS! I had paint that was bubbling and flaking off my walls in my basement. so I was concerned moisture was come through my foundation. I called FSM and had a guy come out and do an inspection, first thing he started doing was start taking pictures telling me this was one of the worst he's seen. my house is a old farm house built in the 50s, it has ten or twelve inch thick walls in the basement. he told me I needed to have drain tile cut into the floors and put that plastic crap all along my walls and have a sump pump installed. So after the inspection and he goes right in to how much it would cost, which was about ten thousand dollars. Then he went right in to telling me that I can finance it, BUT I better hurry up because the price will be rising soon(scare tactic)and they won't be able to get to me for a while, because they're busy season is coming up. So if we start the paper work now they will be able to get right on it. so the way he went about it I felt like he could obviously see I didn't know what much about foundations, which I don't. But once I picked up on that he was trying to scare me into buying this I let him leave that night. I called another company that specializes in foundation s also. a guy came out I kinda told him about my experience with FSM, he did an inspection and told me he would feel guilty selling me ANYTHING my basement is FINE , all I needed was a dehumidifier. he drove forty miles to my house and didn't even try to sell me a thing. so all I can say is get a second opinion before going through with this scamming company.

I have mixed feelings about foundation systems of Michigan. I thought that their initial work was of satisfactory minus quality. They put in a drainage system in our basement that has worked ok but on two occasions I feel that the sales person has sold my wife unnecessary items at an inflated cost. I let it go the first time this sort of sales practices should not be tolerated. I cannot recommend them.
