Lots of "Hipe" about this place, my wife and I did not see or litterly taste it's greatness. Service is very Good, waiter's go over board to meet the restaurants reputation. Noise Level was so LOUD, you couldn't hear yourself think. Need to install new acoustics. Amen!

PORK CHOP: famous, everyone loves this dish.. must try! the size is enormous and tastes just as good as a steak! MAC & CHEESE: also famous! served lasagna style, with sheet noodles instead of elbows or shells, the gouda is sooo tasty and smells amazing. they have amazing take out options!
Such great food! They took special care of us and our birthday girl. She turned 13 and wanted the special treat of Frog Hollow. They made a fuss over her and treated us all (5 of us) really really well! Definitely will come back again.
When we were there I had the orange encrusted pheasant and it was absolutely superb - the way it was cooked, tasted, and presented. Service and ambiance were wonderful too, although the place was on the very busy side.
My husband and I went to Frog Hollow for our anniversary. The atmosphere was very welcoming. We were first greeted by Cory at our table. First he said happy anniversary, and then went on to tell us all about the history of the restaurant. More
This is a great place to dine in Augusta GA. The food quality and ambiance were 5 star. Our server, Kate, was knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. We'll ask for her again when we dine there again.
Bottom line: go there. You'll enjoy your dining experience.
Now for our quibbles: Noise. Go to the back room if you want to hold a decent conversation. The main dining area was noisy. The conversation at each table ramped up as more diners were seated. And some of that conversation was the staff presenting the menu to the diners. See our comments below.
Menu Presentation We dropped one star for the presentation of the menu items. It was long, complicated, and unnecessary. The food on the menu is sourced locally or regionally when possible, which is a positive feature. This feature was printed on the menu, but it was also unnecessarily presented verbally, lecture-like. The menu also used arcane descriptions for common food items. This approach might be appropriate in culinary school, but it was not helpful in choosing a menu item. It needs to be dumbed down to an understandable level.
Draft Beer The wine and spirits choices were plentiful and top-notch. The draft beer choices were too trendy for our liking. The craft beer craze seems to have blinded this restaurant into presenting draft beer choices to the latest hip offerings while minimizing the staples like pilsner, lager, ale, porter, stout. For example, there were no Yuengling or Sam Adams traditional lagers or ales available on draft. This omission is almost sinful. The 'regular' beers were available by the bottle or can, but it's just not the same as draft.
Excellent restaurant and bar in the Buckhead area.If you want trendy southern cooking, this is the place to be if you are in Buckhead. The only issue will be getting a reservation and parking can be expensive. Otherwise, the restaurant is beautiful, the service is great, and the food and drink are outstanding.
I was taken here for my bachelorette party for dinner. I was so impressed with the place, the food was amazing and the ambiance was awesome. A couple of months later my husband and I went back for a nice date night.
This is my ABSOLUTE favorite spot! Everything is amazing here and the service is outstanding. It's perfect for celebrations or a date night! Amazing spot!
We had the short rib, the pork shoulder and the duck breast. All were amazing! Frog hollow shows exquisite detail in all of their dishes. I have come 3 times and never had a bad experience.
Pricey, but you don't mind because the food is inventive, from cutting edge to new takes on old standby comfort items. The entire front of house staff is knowledgeable without being either overly attentive or supercilious. Wine list is inclusive. Augustin's are fortunate to have Sean Wright' culinary vision literally at their fingertips.
Came here with my husband to celebrate my BIRTHDAY. The atmosphere was inviting. Customer service is Amazing. Our server, Samantha was just Outstanding! FOOD is Mind Blowing! Highly Recommended.
Excellent staff-they're enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is okay. We were sat in a high traffic area so the meal was fraught with the idea that something would be dropped on me. The food was delightfully flavored and balanced as only the very skilled can. My partner had the best Tom Collins of his life (he'd highly recommended the Monkey 47 gin) and the bacon that comes with the pork chop was a highlight for me. All in all a good meal with a pricer tag than I would have liked, but worth the experience.
Favorite restaurant in the country. Not exaggerating at all, I've traveled all over the US and Europe and this is still my favorite place to eat when I'm in the area. Friendly staff, amazing cocktails, and delicious food.
My husband and I had a fantastic experience here! We made reservations a few days in advance, and upon arrival we were seated immediately. Our server, Cory, was incredible. He made the menu come to life. He was so expressive and clearly had tried everything on the menu. Overall, we had a wonderful evening and will definitely come back!
These ppl were not interested in doing business with me at all. They told me the picture would not come clear cause the design but these ppl suppose to be professional. The big lady that talks to you acted like I was a fake or something. Don't judge ppl I've got a business making more than you.
Wow!! I would have to say that in the barren city that is Augusta, there is a hidden gem known as Frog Hollow. The restaurant in itself has a very pleasant atmosphere with a welcoming vibe and comfortable arrangement as well as lighting.
The service is fantastic as we were greeted by hostess with smiles on their face and a waiter presenting us with a drink menu, allowing us to have a beverage before we even sat at our table. it is highly recommended that you put in a reservation as this place does stay fairly busy. It is also a place that requires a more formal attire, so no shorts and t-shirts.
As for the food? Superb! We started off with their oyster feature. My fiance ordered the duck and I ordered the famous 14 oz pork chop. They were both as if a divine entity had entered my mouth and coated my taste buds. The combination of sweet and savory with the sweet potato and marinated pork chop made for one of the more pleasant meals that I have ever had.
We talked all this off with the goat cheese cheesecake that was sublime and would make you question all cheesecakes that you have had prior to today. Cheesecake factory? More like cheesecake sweatshop after you have this! All in all I am more than happy to give this place five stars and I will definitely be returning.
The staff and service was excellent. The trout pictured below, while tender, was overall very bland. The the array of tomatoes overpowered salad. Eager to try the rest of the menu.
We celebrated our anniversary at Frog Hollow Tavern. They welcomed us with some nice personalized notes and were very attentive. The food was great with so many great options that it made a difficult decision on what to eat. I would recommend FHT and eat there again!
Frog Hollow Tavern is sort of misleading, to be fair. One would imagine a tavern to be a jolly place where beer and people join together in revelry. While beer is served there, it is beside that.
Frog Hollow, in my opinion, is the classier establishment on Broad Street compared to the others that people, including myself, stumble into. One thing is you don't stumble into here; you either place a reservation or hope you can get a table, if you're civil enough. It's a restaurant you take a date to and with the hours it operates, have the foresight to phone in because there are plenty of other patrons who want in.
The restaurant prides itself with its dishes as locally sourced, from the peaches in their upside down cake to the chicken in their specials, all of which are delicious. To complement their dishes are plenty of drinks to choose from, however I urge you to try their drink specials and/or wine.
If you plan to be in the area for a while, be it the Masters or work-related, have a night here, you won't be disappointed.
Perfect candlelit dinner with my wife and daughter. The wine was 1987 and had an oaky afterbirth; great texture. My child enjoyed the texture of the plates, and my wife enjoyed the llama milk cupcakes. The live entertainment was wonderful and the entertainers were dressed impeccably. The roombas were a bit agressive, but overall the experience was remarkable. Will be returning.
My first trip to CSC. I had the original on white bread, lettuce and tomato. $6.25. Service was quick, the meal was packaged nicely in a togo box and included napkin, fork and knife. Salad was plentiful. I found it to me moist and certainly chicken in flavor. The texture was a bit odd meaning it was tightly packed and.
THE BEST FOOD IN AUGUSTA, GA! Our service was impeccable and the food was absolutely amazing. Great portions, great prices, and an all around great atmosphere! So pleased with my experience and will be recommending to anyone and everyone!
The food is amazing. Best pork belly I've ever had, halibut was delicious, and the cheesecake was excellent. Adrianna was our server and she was fantastic.
I lived in Central Europe for 15 years and eaten at numerous Michelin Star restaurant's. Frog Hollow's farm to table food is as good as it gets. Chef Wight uses local farm fresh ingredients and develops amazing flavors. I've been living in the Augusta area for almost a year now and it is the best restaurant I've dinned at.
Best restaurant in the CSRA. I live in Charleston and get to sample great cuisine on a regular basis and know good food when it hits my palate. You won't find fresher, delicious food anywhere else in Augusta/Aiken area! Big city food in a small city atmosphere.
Pricy so may eat here on occasion. I have to say the quality of food and how its cooked is perfect. Definately a place to treat your spouse to a superb meal the get lucky. Great atmosphere and our waiter was very knowledgable.
Every time we go to this restaurant the service and food or outstanding from beginning to end. Each course was phenomenal, but the pork chop and the greens are the stand outs to me. If you are any kind of a fan of bourbon, you have to try the Tavern Manhattan. The service was impeccable as well. Every time I leave I can't wait to go back.
The pork chop special was juicy and very tasty. Loved their take on Mac and cheese which appears to be layered thin sheets of pastry with a cheese sauce, the top nicely browned. Helpful staff. Lively environment.
So great in all aspects. Food and wine absolutely amazing. You must go beyond the menu and challenge your waitress to give you the "secret" options from the Chef (not in the menu).
This place is great. They called us for our table 2 minutes before our reserved time and service was outstanding and the food was excellent. I would recommend this place to everyone.
High quality and interesting food with friendly and efficient service in a relaxed atmosphere. Sound principles of local food sourcing, and great presentation make this a great choice.
I travel every week and am always on the lookout for a great dining experience. Frog Hollow exceeded my expectations. Candace was fantastic and a great source of knowledge about the offerings.
Hands down the best restaurant to go to in Georgia. The food was amazing and the tea hive cocktail we ordered was so different it brought my taste back to life. Our waiter Cory carried us the whole way because we didn t know what to get . Cory was awesome the place is awesome I think I m hooked on this place now! Prices are pretty cheap too
Frog Hollow is the best restaurant in town! They seriously have the best shrimp an grits. It's also a great restaurant to try something new because they are amazing at what they do! We absolutely love it!
My wife and I always enjoy our time at Frog Hollow and have been dining here on a semi-occasional basis since 2013. Simply the most consistent restaurant in the CSRA, no other restaurant compares!
